I always read reviews before I purchase something and had doubts about these ones but looked nice and met my needs in the description so I ordered it. When I opened it they looked huge (size8 ,I wear8) and wide(but it would fit just right with thick socks on).I totally agree with one of the review who said big and clunky and feels like walking in the moon boots. They look cute and super warm but so stiff and clunky. If you want something comfortable I would not recommand these at all. I sent them back and ordered bar harbor boot. Hopefully they fit better like people said on the reviews.

I was very excited for these boots. I had HUGE expectations for them from commuting in NYC to playing in the snow with my kids. Neither of those activities would work in these boots. They are VERY clunky. They are more along the lines of a snowboard boot than any type of a snow walking boot. I would not even be able to do a snow hike in these boots. So back they go. And thank you LLBean for making the return SO EASY!! They include a return label with the box so all I have to do is tape up the box and drop it off at a UPS place. This is why I continue to shop with this organization. Thank you!

I bought the highest rated LLBean snow boot (looks like a precursor to this one) a few years ago for emergency snow storms. Wore max a dozen times..lightly (I'm an old gal). Stored in my temp controlled coat closet. Pulled them out today and with every step they started to completely disintegrate! The rubber cracked and split! All the stitching melted. Never in my 72 years on this planet has a pair of my shoes literally exploded like this! I can only imagine the "quality" being put out these few years later. Beware.

Had to return these. They were very stiff and I couldn't bend my feet in them so ended up walking flat footed. Not comfortable at all.

Instructions said to order up to next whole size. Bad idea. The boot was too big overall.

I don't like the boots as I can't even get my foot inside them. And I wear a 7-1/2 size shoe normally. There is no way to open up the laces enough and also there is a stretch of elastic across where you put your foot in that I can't even push past to get them on. Maybe is problem with the design or just these boots, but I will be returning them. I also don't think the stitching looks strong enough to hold up. The boots I had prior to these was from LLBean and I had them for years. I wear them mostly for snowshowing or if the snow is really deep for walking. the leather stitching on those totally cracked apart last winter. I don't feel these are made strong enough that they won't do the same.

I like the looks of this boot, but I found it nearly impossible to get onto my foot. I returned the boots.

Company defect. Unable to put foot into boot. Opening at point of boot where your foot goes into the lower part of the boot (foot part) was too small. I have had similar boots in the past and have not had this issue. Wanted boots for winter weather because they were warm. The old ones I had were rated to - 40 F. Returned boots.

They look nice, but were just too heavy to walk in. I have small feet, size 6, and I was scuffing a lot. And that was just around the house.

Way too heavy and stiff. It felt like I was wearing concrete boots. I had to return them.

The boot is fine. I actually already had this boot in a size 7 that my daughter fit into. I bought the same so she could have the boot and it was too small. They charged me for the exchange to a larger size $6. The LLbean store closest is an he away, so that was not an option..just annoyed for the charge considering the boot was $100+.

While wearing socks I couldn't get them on my foot. They looked like a super boot but just couldn't get them to slip on my foot.

These boots look great but there is absolutely no support for your foot. Everything you step on, you feel it on the bottom of your foot. It seems like there's supposed to be an insole in the boot but these don't have it. It literally feels like you're walking barefoot. You feel every pebble, every stone and every inconsistency on the ground. There's definitely something wrong with these boots because they are not up to LL Bean standards.

I couldn't get my foot in the shoe. The size and width looked OK, but when I went to try them on, I couldn't get my whole foot into the shoe, even with the laces undone. The opening was too small to allow the foot to slide in. This was the same issue with a slip on shoe I ordered at the same time. The quality of the shoes over the years has declined which is unfortunate. I have always loved and depended on the quality of LLBean's products.

What a disappointment. Though they are beautiful, the tongue and gusset is so poorly designed and lumpy that it is impossible to wear comfortably. In fact, I developed a severe bruise on my ankle/shin and had to wait for that to heal before a second attempt. It did no good; I never found a way to tuck it so that it didn't press and bind.

I purchased these boots because of the beautiful purple color. I wear a wide width and other reviews said they ran wide so I thought that would suit me. It didn't. It was still too narrow for my foot that has a bunion. The main reason I returned them is because I couldn't maintain a natural gait. With each step the back of the boot hit my calf causing instability on my feet.

One boot was bigger than the other. I could see the difference as well as see it. I was very disappointed. I have been wearing my current LL Bean boots for about 15 years. It was time to replace them. Maybe I'll see if I can have them resoled.

On top of foot where rubber met the leather it was way too tight and hurt the top of my foot.
I had to check too small and too narrow because you made me check something and not leave it blank, even though it was really just the top of foot was poorly designed with not enough room. Maybe that's why it wasn't availablein stores, but only online.

Because the insulation is so thick and forms a ridge it prohibits the lacing at the ankle from being pulled as tight as it needs to be. As a result my foot pulled up at the ankle with every step. The boots' lining "grabbed" my wool socks and pulled the socks from the toes. I returned the boots.

Just received these boots in the mail and they are ENORMOUS in the heel. Walking around in my apartment, my heel is constantly coming up from the sole. I bought these primarily for a walking commute, so they absolutely aren't going to work. Really disappointed, and will be returning them ASAP.

These boots were oversized, too stiff, and after I'd worn them three times the top stitching came out of the boot. Way overpriced, not up to LLBean quality standards. Plan on returning.
