I had high expectations for these boots. I ordered a size 8. They were huge on me. I ordered a size 7. They seem to fit my foot okay, but they are incredibly stiff and very difficult to get on. For the price of these boots, they should have hooks for the laces. To get the boots on, I have to unlace them all the way which is very impractical. I plan to return them and not order another pair.

I am returning these boots for a number of reasons. The boot is well made, but it is extremely heavy in weight. The inside liner is made in CHINA. The boot is made in an LL Bean factory in the wonderful State of Maine with an insert made in CHINA. The length is longer that expected. The new return policy from a wonderful company is a cause for quick returns. I purchased items from L L Bean knowing that the higher price is backed by a warranty of a solid company.

They are warm and dry but so stiff. They have no give which makes walking and driving in them difficult. Wish I had bought what I had before.

I guess I should have ordered one size larger. The quality of the boot was great but they were snug and heavy. They didn't seem to bend with movement very well either. The return process to me took a long time.

These looked great. Had I been getting them for myself, maybe they would have been great, but mom is 80 and her old boots were in tatters and it's been a bad winter so I thought these would be perfect to keep her feet warm and prevent spills. Except she couldn't even get her foot into the boot. She's a 7 1/2, her feet are slender, but the padding on the inside of the boot literally prevented her from sliding her foot inside. When I tried, I had trouble pushing my foot inside, too and the padding squeezed my foot and ankle a little painfully. We had to send them back, which created another headache since the UPS carrier wouldn't pick them up without tacking on an exorbitant fee. Just a bad boot buying experience this time. The boots looked nice, looked warm but that cushion shank inside padded to the point you couldn't push your foot into the boot was a little weird. Just not the right boots for her.

I'm not in love with these like some of the other reviewers. They are just okay. Definitely warm and the higher calf keeps the snow out ... but they are really clunky to walk in. (Heavy / big / no give) They remind me of ski boots. And they eat my socks. No matter what style I'm wearing, after a couple of minutes the sock always ends up bunched around my toes. Thankfully they are waterproof otherwise I would be a really unhappy customer. The instructions in the ordering info said to order up for half sizes - I'm normally a 7.5, ordered a 8. Not sure if the sock is slipping because there is too much room at the heel or what. It's annoying but I can live with it at long as my feet aren't cold / wet.

I found these a little clunky and hard to walk in. They are very wide, perhaps due to the removable liner. The padding was great on the sides of the boot but there didn't seem to be enough arch support or padding on the sole. They are a very nice quality and very warm. I opted to return these for a more fitted boot. I'm sure they would be wonderful for an area with much snow.

I found these to be disappointing. Due to the thick liner, they were too small and I could barely get my foot in. The listing doesn't warn you to size up. In addition, they feel clunky and have no flex whatsoever. Lastly, the very thick liner is absent from the tongue area and yet it sits far out as though to accommodate it. This leaves a weird large gap (about an inch) throughout your shin area. It looks bad and I assume it would let snow in, but I didn't test it.

These are really nice boots. I'm sure the quality is great because -- ll bean. I had to return them, though, because they might be the stiffest things I've ever put my feet in. I mean ouch! Got them in Nov. Finally went to put them on in Feb. Took 10 steps in the house and yeow! Can't walk properly, and because the bottom is that great ll bean rubber, I held out no hope at all that they'd ever loosen up. Too bad because they were nice except for the walking.

I did not like these boots. They looked really big on my foot but the inside was not comfortable and did not keep my feet warm. They also were really heavy and I felt like I was lifting light weights as I walked. These were ok looking in style but overall, I did not like them. The reason for two stars was that they were not hideous, just not for me.

Returned these boot they were incredibly uncomfortable and unlikely to improve with breaking them in because they weren't designed with feet, legs and walking in mind.

Very tight narrow toe box, even with small feet, started to cut off circulation just trying them on. Not insulated well, zero arch support. Love the color.

As usual, no half sizes, so I ordered up "as instructed" in the definition. The boots are huge! Besides being too long, they are very, very wide. I'm used to adding insoles, but that won't do the trick. I think these may have initially designed for men's sizing specifications without adequate adjustment for a woman's foot. Additionally, the color was not as in the catalogue I have from LL Bean - not white and a nice purple, but rather a dirty looking gray and drab, dusty looking purple. On top of that, I had to pay shipping to return them!

I got these shoes for Christmas and they kept my feet super warm in the Colorado snow. However, they gave me blisters on the sides of my ankles and hurt the tops of my ankle. With every step, the leather sides would bend into my ankles. I tried them for a month to see if it was just a matter of breaking in the leather but it hasn't and I've quit wearing them. I bought the light blue pair so I'm not sure if the material is different on the other colors but on the blue ones, thee entire shaft is leather and not very flexible. They're going to have to go back.

The worst boots ever. My old snow boots had worn out and I thought these boots looked warm and cute online, so I gave them a try despite the reviews that said they were clunky. I like clunky shoes and boots! Clunky doesn't cover it. Ever had a cast on your ankle? This is much worse. It's just not possible to bend your foot or ankle in this boot and bending your foot and ankle are pretty essential to moving around. Intrepid souls may attempt to moon walk anyway. That doesn't work either because your heel slides up as if you were trying to walk in the box the boots came in. You might as well. Can't even sit still and look pretty in these because they're just heavy and horrible. Imagine filling two big boot boxes with potatoes, somehow securing your feet into them, and then just sitting around to Netflix and chill. You would want those potato boxes off your feet! Same with these boots. No thank you. Save yourself the hassle of returning them.

I love the boots, but they are huuuuuuuge If you have narrow/smallish feet (I am a size 10), be careful and buy 2 pairs. I am sending the 10 back, trying w/ a size 9. They look like clown shoes!

I bought my usual size knowing I would wear thick socks with these. They were still too long, and incredibly wide. They otherwise seemed like decent boots, but I returned them and bought boots locally so I could try them on. I probably won't order boots or shoes from LLBean again.

These boots are very stiff and uncomfortable to walk in. As one person said, it feels like 6 pounds on each foot. I can't imagine having to drive while wearing them. Sending them back.

I am Hospice Field Staff and these boots are not warm. They are very stiff and I am not happy with this purchase. This is the first LLbean purchase I have ever been unhappy with. We are die hard fans , this was a surprise I purchased my daughter a pair too. She is a bit happier with hers but agrees not super warm.

These boots look great but they are very heavy. It felt like I was lifting 6 lb. weights on my feet. They are waterproof though. The fit was a bit snug too.

Due to my cold feet i really wanted to own these boots and like them. 1st pair slipped on my heal so i ordered down a size and my toe hits the end of the shoe. I found they were heavy and had not much sole support if any. These simply dont meet the criteria I need. I bought the L.L. Bean Wildcat Pro 600 primaLoft, and they are a Grand Slam!

I was so disappointed in these boots. They are cute and I looked forward to wearing them this winter. That was not to be. When I tried them out, I found that the height was all wrong somehow, and the uppers rubbed on my legs and ankles when fastened. The foot part rubbed on my big toes and pinched them. It felt as though the uppers were bending and folding over. I had to return them.
