I am very pleased with this shirt in the classic red and black plaid. I have purchased other chamois shirt from other sources and found them stiff and canvas-like neither soft nor warm feeling. My wife suggested I not buy another chamois shirt for that reason but this one was very different. The material was soft and thicker than most flannel shirts I buy. It feels warmer because it molds itself to my body rather than being so stiff like my other chamois shirt which air to pass freely up the sleeves. The general fit the way the arms are attached eliminates binding when I raise my arms over my head. I have purchased other shirts that even in XL or XXL bind. I prefer 2 pocket shirts like this one. The shirt pockets are sewn on to keep the plaid stripes in line with the shirt - something only the best shirts do because it costs more.

I wear this flannel shirt around the house all winter long every day - it is the best looking flannel shirt they've every made and it feels soooo good to wear. It's just the right thickness to keep you warm and comfortable all the time. A little thick to tuck into pants, so I wear it out, even outside over jeans, sweats. The only good thing about winter in NJ is wearing this shirt inside all season.

This shirt is very good quality. Very warm and softened up nicely after washing. I think the size runs a bit large, so maybe take that into consideration.

These shirts are, without a doubt, the nicest shirts in my closet. Soft and comfortable. Fit well. My favorites. I own five of them.

The Bean shirt is everything as described. Outstanding quality that looks to last for years.

Love the heavy fabric. It's soft and warm. Sizes tend to run big. I had one from several years ago in large and when I ordered another in large had to return it for a medium and that is even a tad big on me. Other than the size issue, I would defiantly buy again.

I gave this beautiful shirt to my adult son for Christmas. I was surprised that he liked it because he is hard to buy for. It was the wrong size so my husband returned it to an LLBean store. I immediately ordered the shirt in the correct size on line and had it sent to my son who lives in a different city. Shipping is free at LLBean, and my son received the shirt within three days! Great quality merchandise and service!

Originally ordered a medium based on the site size chart, was extremely long in the body and sleeves and wide around the waist. Opted for a small instead. At 5'11" and 170lbs, the small was a much better fit still allowing for use as a light jacket over multiple layers, but also trim enough to just be worn over a tee.

Great high quality shirts, they fit very very well and are very colorful. Down side very slow shipping, took almost three weeks. I would still buy again because they have a great selection of high quality merchandise.

Great fabric, this shirt will last a lifetime, my last one is 22 years old and still looks great.

I ordered these for my son in-law and they are great! he loves the shirts and says he finally has nice plaid shirts that fit him perfectly! He said they wear super comfortably!

Just got 3 of these after new years. Temps here in the Ozarks can plunge below zero, so much for "Southern winters!" These shirts keep me toasty warm, rugged, excellent fit & tailoring, wife says I look handsome wearing them (bonus!!) Large fits perfectly except at the neck - I'm 5'-11", 200 lbs, but wear an 18-1/2 collar on a dress shirt. Highly recommended! #Buycott!

Bought it for my grandson, size is good, the chamois is thick and cushy and the plaid is perfect.

Excellent cold weather shirt. Soft, thick fabric and the orange and brown plaid is very attractive. I've had moleskin shirts that were not as plush as this chamois cloth shirt.

LOVE the quality, but the sizing is SO off! My husband takes an XL for the chest, but this shirt must have been sized wrong at the plant. I sure hope we can get this ... maybe order a Med, (based on reviews and seeing his shirt on him) and it'll fit like an XL? we'll see. I hate sending things back! even for exchange.

This shirt is amazing. If you're thinking about buying this shirt, buy this shirt. It is incredibly comfortable and only gets softer and softer with wear. It keeps you warm without being bulky or thick. It looks darn good. If somehow by the grace of L.L. Bean himself you can manage to buy the rarely available "Apple Cinnamon" pattern, do so. The first two times I wore this shirt, I garnered no less than 5 compliments and one new girlfriend. Buy this shirt.

Like a fine wine this shirt has gotten better with age! I bought this shirt last year and have worn it all throughout the year camping, hiking, working and all the other manly activities one can think of. Their is not a single Irish pennant (lose strand of string) for a lumberjack to repel from. Not a single button has remotely thought of fallen off or even considered it. It makes chopping wood easier and you look darn good doing it. But the one thing you'll never have to do is darn this rugged article of magnificence. From Argentina to Germany to Serbia to Africa and the National parks of America. This shirt has stood the test of time and will do so for many years to come. Do yourself a favor and buy this shirt. The only thing L.L.BEAN needs to do now is make a sheet set in the Deep Spruce color pattern and I'd fill my entire house with it.

Really love the LL Bean clothing, etc. Trust is the name of the game. Shirts wear and wash great. Look wonderful too. I prefer LL Bean to any other brand. Used to be Lands End before they were bought out by Sears! Not the cheapest, but the best; and the best value!
