Can be worn as a warm shirt by itself or as a lightweight jacket-type shirt. Blocks the wind and keeps you warm without bulk.

This shirt is made of a heavy fabric which is nicely soft and very warm. It's made to wear over another lighter shirt, so its true fit is just a little roomier than a flannel shirt of the same size. The colors stay bright after washing. It's a great warm shirt!

This is a wonderful shirt/jacket. I ordered another recently. It's perfect for our Arizona evenings and Michigan weather. It launders beautifully, is constructed well and wears like iron.

I'm up to 10 or so of these fluffy soft wonderful shirts. They are sturdy and remain soft and comfortable. I rarely wear anything else in the cold months.

Have purchased the Bean flannel shirts for years now and wear them all thru the Montana winter. Superior shirts and the colors are great.

HEY BEAN,
DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU DID IT, BUT YOU IMPROVED THE CHAMOIS SHIRT TREMENDOUSLY.
IT FEELS "BROKEN IN" & MUCH SOFTER THAN OLDER ONES. I HAVE A COUPLE OF THEM AT LEAST 20 YEARS OLD, STILL LOOK LIKE NEW, BUT STILL NOT " BROKEN IN". I USED TO THINK THE ONLY WAY TO BREAK THEM IN WAS TO DIP THEM IN BATTERY ACID. THE NEW SHIRT IS MUCH BETTER. IT WILL BE MY "GO TO "SHIRT WHEN THE WEATHER GETS REALLY COLD. I BOUGHT A COUPLE MORE OF THEM I LIKE IT SO MUCH.
THE SHIRT IS DESIGNED FOR LAYERING, SO IT IS JUST A LITTLE OVER SIZED, BUT I DON'T MIND THAT.

Comfortable and warm. Nice heavy material. Originally bought the loden (green) and wanted another color. Bought this on sale at a great price.

It was exactly what my husband waned to replace an older shirt of the same style that had worn out.

I have had many of their Chamois Shirts over the years and this one is as good as all of them. The size was perfect and the shirt looks even better than in the photos.
It's the perfect winter shirt for it's comfort and warmth.
I would definitely recommend this shirt to anyone!

Easily the best fitting, best feeling, softest, warmest flannel shirt I've ever had. Highly recommended!

This is the first product review I have ever written, but I feel compelled to due to the quality of this product. I now own three of these shirts and they are awesome. I was skeptical to purchase at first because I was afraid that the 2XL Tall would be to small. I'm usually on the fence size wise between 2XL tall and 3XL tall. I waited until I was able to visit a brick and mortar store while traveling, and I discovered the 2XL tall was plenty big. The arms were long enough for my monkey arms and the cut is forgiving in the middle for my dad body. The best thing about these are the material they are made of. I have tried flannel shirts from many brands, and LL Bean flannel is on another level! When you first feel it you will think this is a thick good quality fabric, and will be very warm (which it is), but you may think you should reserve it for the colder days. However, this shirt breathes really well so don't hesitate to wear it on the milder days as well. On the really cold days the cresta wool mid-weight base layer underneath this flannel makes for a excellent combination.

Love the color. It washes so nice. Did not lose shape or shrink when washed and dried. Highly recommend this shirt.

The colors of the shirt were nicer than what the picture showed online (actually seemed brighter). Fit was spot on and very comfortable as a traditional fit which is slightly looser of a fit. Goes well with my LLBean jeans!

Great shirt. Warm. LLBean quality can't be beat. Apple Cinnamon is quite attractive. Not too heavy to neatly tuck in. One caveat: Many reviewers commented that this shirt runs large. Wish I had listened. Bought usual Large size. Way too big. Returned for a Medium and it fits perfect. Will be purchasing more Chamois shirts!

Loved this shirt. But it runs VERY large and is not fitted at all. Had to return the large for the Medium. Had ordered XL for my husband and had to change to the Large.

Ordered this for my husband for Xmas. He normally wears an XLT- ordered that initally and it was HUGE. Returned (easily!) and got him a regular Large and it fits wonderfully. Just keep in mind this does run big- and it says so in the fit description. If you do that, you'll love this shirt as much as he does I'm sure!

Really like the shirt. Nice design. Sturdy construction. Warm but not too hot. Really like the color. Only issue was that it took three tries to get one without a defect. Received as a gift. First shirt had a huge flaw in the fabric on the front of the shirt. Returned at local store. None in stock. Had to order replacement. Second shirt had a pocket button misaligned that made the pocket significantly out of kilter when buttoned. Reordered at store again. Third shirt was perfect. Store staff very helpful with returns, but L.L. Bean needs to ensure its contract manufacturers do a better job of quality control.

LL Bean has maintained it's quality and excellence over the years. This shirt was the size I expected, not some fabrication to satisfy someones ego. The quality and weight of the chamois is exactly as I expected, not some thin fabric. As usual, the shirt was exactly what I wanted and was looking for.

Well made from quality materials and superior stiching. Wears well in the shoulders and body, however the sleeves are fashionably long and works well with the turned up cuffs. Very warm and comfortable.

comfortable, warm, good fit. My husband has a barrel chest and slender hip and leg, therefor he usually gets a traditional fit. it was not "blouse y" but hung straight and was comfortable thru the shoulders and chest. It has been washed several times and dried in the dryer . There has been no shrinkage and it can be worn straight out if the dryer.

This flannel is incredibly soft and warm. It breathes well also! It is definitely on the thicker side. As far as the fit goes, it runs pretty big. I have another LL Bean flannel (Scotch Plaid Hoody) in a Medium that fits me perfectly well. I got this one in a Medium also but is pretty huge. The arms are very baggy/loose fitting and hangs down very low. More of an overcoat in that sense. I loved the colors and softness enough that I decided to simply tailor it. I would have gone with a Small if they had it in stock at my local retailer.
