Really nice hiker: Good fit, cushioning, style & quality; was looking for more warmth/higher insulation factor. Also, would have appreciated more color choices.

I already own a pair of hokas which I love. My new high tops are painful to wear because the inside of the top hook is sharp. I'm trying to come up with a good solution so that they are comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend if it weren't for the sharp fastener on the inside of the shoe.

No breaking in needed! I put them on new and hiked a 14er in Colorado in them with no problems and they felt great! They are very light with good ankle support without feeling heavy or too much!

They were great while they lasted the 26 days. I started seeing some tare on the side of the boots. What I did like is that they are legitimately hiking shoes and have AMAZING GRIP for incline and downhill. I am so thankful for the support especially around my ankles. However, they also felt like the cushioning wasn't as sturdy and I could feel the impact while hiking. I also have flat feet which is why it needed something supportive.

This shoe was great, but not quite right for my needs. Loved the style, the comfort, and arch support (as with all my Hoka shoes), but it lacked ankle support.

The shoe was too big. I did not try a smaller size since I did not want a waterproof boot. They are great looking and well made.

I was talked into buying these hiking shoes by a HOKA obsessed person. Seriously, he should be an Ambassador!! I love the color of these Trail Codes! Stylish and comfy.except, on the right shoe, inside near my boney ankle, the metal from the shoelace hook at the top of the shoe rubs on my inside ankle bone. I wear smart wool socks but can still feel the flat metal of the hook rubbing on my bone.

I returned these boots. I purchased a pair of these two years ago. This new pair did not seem to be the same quality and also fit tighter around the toes.

Love the color/ love other Hokas in my life but these went back because the high top rubbed my ankles. Just wore around the house..

The sewn-in sockliner was very narrow and did not have much stretch, which made it difficult to put on the shoe.

I purchased a woman's 10.5 because I have wide feet and that was not optional. I put boots on to go on a nature walk with my dogs and my feet began to hurt right away. Very disappointing.

Love the color and style, but shoe fits longer and more narrow than my other hoka shoes. The bottom does not have the cushion I need and am accustomed too and not enough support for my high arches. You may like them if you have a long narrow foot, but not if you have high arch. Not for someone with foot problems.

This product looks cool and has nice features but is very narrow. If you have a wider foot, this is not the shoe for you. I wish they made it in wide.

I have nothing bad to say about the shoe it was comfortable, but I felt it was a little too bulky for me. I wanted something a little more streamlined, but still good for trail so I returned the shoe and purchased the Anacopa breeze. .

I read a lot of positive reviews about these shoes before I ordered them. I must be missing something, because I thought they felt stiff, unyielding, and uncomfortable. It was like having a couple of bricks strapped onto my feet. I can't imagine wearing them while hiking several miles.
I'd also recommend:

I can only agree with so many other viewers, on the upper inside, the metal from the shoelace hook really hurts. I exchanged for a second pair but unfortunately it has the same problem. I put a moleskin padding on and will give it a few more days of using because otherwise I really like these boots. I have worn Clifton 3- Clifton 9 and never had a problem with Hoka before.

I have several pairs of Hoka's. I'll be walking the Camino de Santiago. I was hoping to include this pair. The boot is narrow. For me very uncomfortable. Has a great look and light weight. I am disappointed they offer no options for hiking boots designed wide. It's really not fair to give a low star review. I'm confident for those who have narrow feet this boot is great. It's a size issue for me. Not a design and quality issue.

Love these shoes! Super comfortable, super light. But they started falling apart two weeks in. They started peeling and it looks like there are gaps from the sole on the bottom.

I purchased these to use as rain shoes for use as an outside gas station attendant at a warehouse gas station. They are a bit snug in the front (widest width of foot) and less comfortable, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of cushioning in the shoe. It's possible the more expensive shoes have better cushioning.

Very narrow and run small. Have to order a size up and they do look a little like ski boots. They are comfortable, for awhile. If on feet all day and you have feet that swell they may be tight until the stretch a little. It is not just the toe box it is the whole shoe that is narrow. nice summer color. I needed a hi-top post ankle cast for support. Once I got the correct size I like them but will look better with jeans not shorts

Love most things about this shoe, but the width is too narrow for my foot. I have the Hoka Bondi 8 running shoe as well. They fit perfectly.
