Loved the look but the heel was really wide. No good to be slipping around. And for some reason they rubbed my right foot just wrong and caused tendon pain.

These weren’t as comfortable as my Bondi’s. The tongue was so thin and flimsy, I felt it wouldn’t last and I’m not hard on things. The only thing I liked was the color.

Would not feel comfortable wearing due to all different colors Heel tab rubs and might cause blisters for me

I was looking for a supportive shoe. These did not feel supportive enough. I felt like my foot was sliding too much. They are very cute and uniquely shaped. I think that for someone without my specific foot issues they would be good.

It was a half size too big

The fit, comfort and style were great. Finally a wide women's trail runner! However, only after a four months, wearing them once a week to hike for the first three months, then traveling with them for 4 weeks, the treads are worn down in such a way that they no longer provide the grip and traction I was looking for in a trail runner shoe.

Worn them around my house, felt very narrow near ball of foot and could not wiggle my toes as in the other speedgoats I had had in the past. did not like the winged out heal, except it was easy to put on. feel like when i hike it will catch on something. wish the shoe would go back to padded tongue, not sure what i will do now for shoes from Hoka so bummed. Ive have bought three or four pairs a year since these came out, wish I had known about the big changes I would have bought 8 pairs.

I'm returning these b/c they are really uncomfortable. The space between the sole and the top of toes is VERY shallow. They also feel very tight. The "toe cut out area" feels weird--maybe real runners like this?

The slant of the pull on pullon tag in the back of the shoe rubs on top of my left ankle. Causing pain. I think it is made worse if I go forward and backwards. Like when vacuuming. I did not notice pain at the time but ankle bone throbbing at night. Has taken a week of wearing old design HOKA no high pullon tag on back of shoe to quell the pain. This did not happen to my left foot. Will not be buying this hoka shoe design again. I love Hoyas but not this new heel tab design.

The show is overpriced and doesn't provide nearly the cushioning it claims to

Miserable tongue design makes it scrunch up when you put them on. Previous Hoka models were much better. I am sorry I bought these.

Squished my toes together. Did not like the narrow, squared off toe of these shoes & I did not like the fact that there is no cushioning in the tongue.

I do not like these at all. They don't fit right, rub on my little toes, and feel too heavy.

You sent the wrong shoes! These are Challengers, not Speedboat 5. ;-(

I ordered a 6.5 and was sent a size 7. When I inquired about this I was told they were out of 6.5 and only had 7 available.

The fit and size were fine as was the arch support. However the soles of this shoe do not hold up well. The right show has completely worn down in 6 months. I have a pair of Brooks Ghost shoes that I've worn consistently for at least 3 years and probably 4 that are NOT worn down as much as these shoes. I have placed an order for a new pair of Brooks and want to return these. I don't believe a Vibram sole should wear like this.

Not wide enough

Shoes were already laced, and they were in a random box. Obviously not new!

I have loved hoka for 5 years. I was first fitted at REI and needed support because of an injury. I walk my greyhound 3 to 5 miles daily on some pretty rough trails. My complaint is with how they are holding up. My Speedgoat 4 has had problems with splitting. I have seen other reviews so I am not alone. So I was thrilled when the 5 came out. Unfortunately when the soles get wet? They make a snapping sound. Again I have loved these shoes but am seriously considering a brand change. I replace my shoes two to three times a year. I honestly have expected better.

I loved the colors but the comfort was not there for me. At this price point I expected a more cloud like and cushioning feel but sadly that was not my experience. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and have difficulty finding comfy sneakers and so far Ryka works best for my aching feet. Hoka also run large. On the Ryka brand I'm a 8.5 medium, on these I settled for size 8 after trying on the 7.5 and 8.5.
