I have worn HOKA for many years and I actually had my Mom, sister, son and husband to order HOKA shoes. These were very cheaply made and no cushioning. I always have two pairs to alternate between but my old pair had more support and cushioning than these. I ordered my husband a pair who never complains about shoes but complained that these in the men's version were uncomfortable, cheaply made and didn't last long. My son ordered New Clifton and returned and purchased Ultra. We all use to wear Ultra until I found HOKA. Prices have continued to increase quality decreased.

So comfy. Keeps great traction on trails. Love the colors, too! Super wide toe base and lots of padding to help absorb impact.

... but I simply did not. There's something funky going on with the sole of the shoe to where it really makes the structure of my foot feel very uncomfortable - it pushes up in all the wrong places. I have very narrow, long feet which are bony and this shoe felt even too narrow for me! There's also no thought to padding the tongue on this shoe which may make long runs uncomfortable. One thing that is nice is that the laces do stay nice and tight. However, I still didn't feel secure at all in this shoe. Instead, I've gone with the Mafate and I cannot recommend them enough! Sorry, goats, you ain't got it!

Great style & comfort in a sneaker!!

Best shoes I've ever bought. I really love the tongue too because it's curved so it stays in place and molds to the top of your foot on top of that every step feels like I'm bouncing and super fast.

My daughter got these shoes for her birthday and she loves them.

I bought this brand based on many people's word of mouth. I expected them to be extremely chushy, but they are just ok. I do love the shoe though.

We went to Argentina two weeks ago, and I was preparing myself for a walk I will be doing in May to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. So let me share my experience. I made the trail for about 6 hours in Iguazu Falls with no blisters; of course, I was tired, but the shoes made a huge difference. So I will purchase another pair to take with me on my trip to Spain.

These shoes are so comfortable. This is my 3rd pair.

I haven't tried wearing it outside. It feels perfect. My feet is like stepping on pillows

I wear these for golf shoes! They are wonderful! Comfortable and perfect for golfing!

I use these for trail running. I like the look and I have narrow feet so they work really well. I use them for raid if I need too. The materials are good and I can get about 400 miles on them before they retire. I am on my 4 th pair so I say try them.

These are the only Hoka's that feel good on my feet. I tried several types and for some reason others just hurt the sides of my feet. But these fit my feet wonderfully! Very comfortable, feel like walking on clouds. Felt good right from the get go. There is no breaking in period, you should actually never buy a pair of shoes unless they feel great right away. I like to wear them at work but unfortunately they grab the carpet when I walk and it makes noise like a Velcro ripping noise. So be aware of that if you think about using them inside. But that's the only negative thing I can say. In sneakers I take a 10 1/2 in ON sneakers for these I take a 10. So if you very between 2 sizes, go for the smaller size with these.

LIE A WALK ON CLAOUS

I summited Mt. Whitney in 2021 in a pair of Speedgoat 4s in the wide width size 8. Best shoes I've ever worn. Why Im sad is the new 5s are a half an inch more narrow through the toe box even in an 8.5. I have some foot issues from hiking in another brand which has zero drop, but a wide toe box, and my old 4s solved that problem. I've loosened the laces, tried different socks and they just don't have that Hoka feel. I'm hoping they will stretch, but I hate that "they need to break in" feeling. A good pair of shoes should feel like old best friends and shouldn't need to be broken in. Just my two cents. Please go back to the wider width.

I walk daily and last year I developed 2 fibromas on the arch of my left foot. It had gotten to the point where I thought I wouldn't be able to exercise. My daughter has worn Hoka's for a few years and told me to give them a try. This is my 2nd pair. I still have the fibromas but I have no pain at all when I wear them. I love my Speedgoat 5 shoes. I like the way they grip the sidewalk, street or rocky path in the park! I normally wear a size 7 but in Hokas I wear a 6.5.

I hike every day. The shoe gives that great Hoka support and heel roll that assists with every step. I think they could make the tongue of the shoe a little longer- it can get list under the laces and a bit more protection from debris getting into the shoe would be nice. Also sturdier shoelaces. I've only worn them a few times and they're already fraying. Otherwise, great trail shoes and great feel!!

I needed new shoes for walking, hiking or running. My husband got this pair and I must say after using them for some weeks now, is my question, why did I not get them sooner. Absolutely fantastic shoes. No pains in my hip or knees after walking a longer distance in them.

This is my favorite shoe ever! I use it for trekking and for work (I usually do 20,000 steps a day at work). It is soooo comfortable and needs no breaking in. I have large bunions and this is the only shoe I will buy. Great cushioning, great traction, dries quickly. And I love the colors! I get tons of compliments on them. Thank you Hoka!

I have issues with my feet and am very particular when it comes to shoes because of it. I normally get shoes that have memory foam and was really nervous to try these because it is the first show I have also gotten without the memory foam. With that said I found these and ordered them online after weeks of looking at shoes. I have wide feet and was tired of always buying men's shoes in the store due to not having any in my size. So when I heard of Hoka because of the virbrim bottoms that my boyfriend really likes I started looking into hoka and ordered the speedboat 5 shoes in my size and they had a bunch of colors I was stoked. When I got them and tried them on they fit me perfectly and I was so nervous due to never trying it on with the issues with my feet but I took a leap of faith and I am so glad I did. They have a gel insole and with the bottom I can tell the grip the shoes have to the ground. They fit so good and I wear them every day at work or just around. I have never had shoes with a warranty before and these shoes give a year. This is the most I have ever paid for shoes but so far I would say they are worth it. I am so glad I tried these shoes and I am so hooked. They are lightweight which I also appreciate. Now I am overweight and shoes don't last me over 6-9 months. I only have 1 pair of shoes at a time and due to being overweight and how I walk I wear out the soles of my shoes all the time so I am hoping the bottom of these shoes help with that. I love my speedgoat 5's.
