I walk almost every day and these are very comfortable shoes. Second pair of speedgoats I've bought.

New Hoka fan here. While not a big runner previously and never having run on a trail - a local Hoka rep was at a meetup of my areas trailing running group and let me try a pair of Speedgoats. For one, I couldn't believe I was able to keep up with other women who ran 10+ miles for fun but there was no way I could handles the trails, roots and uneven terrain all in my other sneakers I showed up in. These shoes felt right away like they were made for my feet and worked well even with my arch support inserts I use. That afternoon when I was home, not only was I hooked on trail running but I went ahead and bought the Speedgoats I wore that morning. After having them for a couple of weeks now I'm even wearing these just for my regular walks too addition to my trail runs. Highly recommend.

These shoes really feel different than what's on the market right now but in a good way! I was surprised at first by the fit but quickly grew to like it. Your feet don't feel so stable initially because the mesh upper doesn't provide much support but the outsole does A LOT. You kinda have to readjust your gait but it forces you to move more efficiently and naturally (instead of relying on a somewhat rigid shoe). They are also very comfortable, responsive and provide just enough cushion. I got the wide version and it fits right even though my feet aren't that wide.

This shoe would have been perfect except that it was a little short in the toes. Great looking shoe, nice support. Ended up keeping the Hoka Women's Challenger 7 and Clifton 9.

The length is a bit longer than my other Hokas of the same size. They're comfortable and I like the style and color. Most of my Hokas are bright colors and these are more subtle and neutral. What I dislike about these is the thin tongue which always needs adjusting to pull it up after I put them on. I had another pair of Hokas (Rincon) with this same tongue but I couldn't tell from the photos that this was similar. I much prefer the thicker, more normal, tongues of the Clifton's.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka Clifton 8 or 9

I am hooked on Hoka Speedgoat. Started on 3, then 4, now 5. I purchase these every 4-5 months. The cushioning is exceptional, the fit is perfect for my narrow ish feet, there no huge space between the sides of my feet and the sides of the show, I can move around comfortably, they are so stylish, I receive compliments all the time on them. The colour choices are unreal. The design is fantastic, the grip lasts pretty well and for the first time ever in my life, I don't have to worry about any pain breaking them in, they are super comfortable. Love them.

Versatile shoe. I love these for walking on paved trails and for hiking in the mountains. This is my fourth pair of the Speedgoat shoe. They wear well and remain comfortable throughout the day.

This is my 10th pair if Speed Goats. The most recent edition is my least favorite by far. The cushion seems to decrease with every update. This version is also cut super, super low. So it gives off a strange sensation that the shoe is not securely on your foot. It feels like a lot less shoe for the same price. The only thing I like about the update are the new color options.

This is my favorite Hoka! I love the feel of the cushy foot support. I used to wear them only for hiking but now I have several pairs and I use them for everything -casual, hiking, yard work, you name it. Be good to your feet and get a pair!

There's a lot to love about this shoe. It's lightweight and the sole is grippy and supportive. Unfortunately I have to return due to the heel slipping. I haven't experienced this with other Hokas. It does fit true to my usual 8.5 width size.

I can’t say enough how much I love these shoes. I have sensitive feet and these required no break in period at all. If I had limitless funds I would give these an enthusiastic 5/5 stars. However, the durability of these is lacking. I hike and walk about 20-25 miles a week and the tread was all but gone after 5 months on both the pairs I have purchased. I guess this is the trade-off for lightweight hiking shoes. But, unfortunately, it makes them cost prohibitive for those of us who don’t have a lot of money to spend on Hokas on a regular basis.

I just got my third pair Speedgoat since April 2021. It's obvious that 5 is very well crafted. I love the details including the shortened tongue. It's lighter and fit like gloves. It's incredibly comfortable with the wonderful springy energy that can last 800 miles of annual walking for me (120 lbs) - each of my previous 2 pairs lasted about 800 miles. It's hard to choose 1 "best for": it's best for walk, trail walking and hiking. If you ever walk on dirt roads, especially hilly ones, Speedgoat is the best. It has very good gripping power and it's light so I can hike for a long distance without feeling any aches. It's my go-to all-purpose.

The shoes are very well crafted. The comfort level is amazing! However , in my case, they run big. I originally ordered my size and then had to return for a half size smaller. With that being said, the return/exchange process is fabulous.

I'll be honest - I bought these Hokas for the bright colors. Other brands fit my foot better, but I've found the trick to a good fit with these is to skip the top lace (it puts uncomfortable pressure on my foot). Works great. I use the shoes for treadmill and elliptical indoors, as well as just walking around daily shoe. The thick cushioning is appreciated when I jog - absorbs some of the impact. Note: I buy half a size larger with Hokas so I have extra room for my toes when walking downhill..

I bought these shoes to walk the Norte route and since completing that 500 miles walk I've bought two more pairs. They provide a nice cushion and stable grip and my feet are happy.
