Adding additional comment to my prior review. I wore my new HOKAs for the firstly time yesterday for a long walk with a friend. I have to say they are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever worn !! They are soft and perfect support for my high arches. I will be ordering more as budget allows.

I know these are trail running shoes but I use them for road running too. I have 2 large dogs that accompany on my run & these Hokas are great! Good comfort, cushion & stability. This is my 3rd pair of Speedgoats

I walk/run on hilly mountain trails with roots and rocks all along the way. I have had Hokas before but nothing has stabilized my steps the way these do. Running over roots and rocks feels like nothing. Rather than slowing down to look out for roots, I can just go without fear of rolling my ankle or tripping. They are a little lose, but not enough to go down a half size. I'm going to try to fix it with some thicker socks and playing with the lacing a little.

Purchased and starting using my first Speedgoat 5 pair about a year ago. No more discomfort or pain now after my hikes. Really enjoy my daily walks and wish I had bought these 2 years ago! I tell everyone about these shoes. Thanks HOKA for a great product!!!!

I have multiple styles of HOKAs and use them daily. Very happy in general with these shoes and will continue to buy them - however, I wear out the soles quicker than I used to. They need to be better quality.

My trail run consists of sand, loose rocks and very steep hills and I feel confident running with my speedgoats. The traction is great and the shoes are light enough to maneuver through some tricky areas. My only issue with them is how fast they wear down - they seem to last only a few months before the bottoms wear out. Will I continue replacing them with the same shoe? Yes

This is my 3rd pair of Goats - I just love them. They require zero breaking in time for me & when hiking on rocks & tough terrain, I don't feel any pain in my feet. Its like walking on a cloud.

I have issues with the comfort in all shoes. I use an insert that's from Aetrex as it keeps my knees in great alignment. I hate the way their shoes wear but love the thick souls and thick insoles. I took my insoles from the Aetrex Danica shoe & put in these and they are working pretty good for my pickleball play. They grip the court but also allows me to bounce where I need to get to. If I could get Hoka & Aetrex together to have a baby, I might just birth the best shoes ever!! Contact me for more details if you'd consider a creation.

My wife needed a walking shoe to prepare for our trip to walk the Camino in Spain. So far she loves it for daily workout walks.

I go for long walks as my main form of exercise so I need very comfortable walking shoes. I also have high arches so need arch support and these shoes have great support. They are also very stylish and I love the colors, I just also purchased a pair of the Hopara's. I'll be purchasing more Hoka's as my budget allows as I really would like additional colors and styles. I'd be happy to test new models for you !! B>)

Overall, it's a well built shoe. Originally I was having issues with my heel popping out, this was quickly fixed by utilizing the heel lock lacing method. I love the low profile tongue and the larger rear lip doesn't get in the way like you think it will. I started having fun in them. My issue came with longer miles. I could feel "wear" on my foot in areas I've never felt before. One day I did 25 miles and my feet felt raw in those same places. Luckily I had no blisters. I'll cut them some slack that day, as my feet stayed wet for almost the entirety of the day. I still run in them on shorter mile days and want to love them. I admire their heritage, I mean. They are named after Meltzer after all. However, next time I'll be purchasing another pair Challengers because I dont have these issues. Every shoe, isn't for everyone. Unfortunately, they just aren't for me.

This is my 4th or 5th pair of Speedgoats 5s...I absolutely love how they feel for trail running, especially in mud and snow. I don't like that the uppers crack in the exact same places after a few months though. I run about 30 miles per week and have to replace them about every 4 months due to holes in the upper fabric. I'm hoping the Speedgoats 6s are sturdier!

Speed Goat is a phenomenal shoe with stability, grip comfort & my one and only select. Colorways are fresh & have been terrific over the past few years with sizing right-on & consistent so am able to order online without hesitation. Unable to select only one use since I wear for walking on oftentimes uneven terrain, as well as for the support & stability factor due to an upcoming knee replacement.

I ordered the Hoka Speedgoat 5 to hike on Camino de Santiago for two weeks. I got ankle blisters on the first day of when I broke in the shoes. I didn't have time to exchange for a new pair before the trip; hence, I kept the shoes. I fixed the issue by [1] sewing down the ankle trim flap and [2] adding heal inserts. While the shoe is very comfortable, I should not have to do this patchwork. The shoe rubbing on the ankle has been a consistent complaint named on many reviews and I am hoping Hoka engineers would consider an improved design.

I LOVE the Speedgoat 5. Definitely the most comfortable sneaker I've ever worn. My frustration, however, is how fast I burn through these. I walk, not run, about 5 miles a day, on pavement. I'm not overweight, nor do I believe I strike the ground particularly hard. Yet, I find the bottoms of my sneakers wearing down within a matter of a few months. Hokas are far from cheap, so what am I doing wrong?

I was surprised how light weight these shoes are compared to my previous running shoes. No break in period and my knees and joints did not bother me. I jog/walk on pavement.

These are exactly the color as advertised and they have a certain arch support and support in the ball of your foot that is unbeatable! As far as waterproof, I've stepped into some puddles while delivering and my feet did get wet but they don't get soaked or they don't stay wet. I believe the material helps absorb it quicker. I'm still happy with these because you can walk for miles and your feet stay comfy annd never hurt. I recommend these to anyone.
