Great all around shoe. I need stability for over pronation and weakness in 1 ankle and the Gaviota 4 fits the bill. My first pair of Hoka shoes and I am impressed, happy, comfortable and confident walking in them. Seem to be a well constructed and quality shoe. Time will tell. Would like to see more colors. I have a slightly narrow foot and they are not too wide for me. Slippery laces, but that is easily remedied with a double bow knot.

I like the comfort but they do run short.

Use it everyday for walks. Seems like it doesn't hug the heel as well as Gaviota 2. Laces keep untying

I bought the Gaviota 4 for stability and plush.. I have plantar and I overpronate. Stability was great but not the plush. I bought 2 pairs of Kawana. LOVE them for the plush! I take a 6-6 1/2 and bout an 8 in the Gaviota 4.

The fit and comfort are great. The problem I have is in durability. I have bought Hokas for years and I've noticed that in the past two or three years, the shoes do not hold up as they once did or should. I've had this particular model for just over a year and now one of the holes for the laces ripped right out. Very disappointing.

Way too wide in the toe box! I normally wear 9W but in HOKA I’m 9.5 and the Gaviota 4 was perfect. The 5’s are stupid big in the toe box, my foot was sliding around. So disappointed.

The shoe feels great to walk in but short lived with the inner lining falling apart quickly to expose plastic

This is my fourth pair of Hokas, and for the first time they are falling apart. The soles of the shoes are peeling away and the piece on the back has broken. I only use them at work and haven't changed what I do in over five years, so I know it's not me.

These shoes killed my heel. I could barely make it through a normal 8 hour shift. I’ll try another pair of Hokas

Today was my first shift as a nurse and I was on my feet all day. I have flat feet and the Gaviota 4 was recommended but by the of my shift. I could been walk to my car. My calves and feet were on fire. Maybe I'm unlucky or need to try orthotics.

I bought wide, but they were a bit narrow for a wide fit.
Also, the rubber bottom of the sole was peeling off the left shoes within a couple of days of wearing it.

Not a true size, doesn't fit well. After I purchased Graviola 4 they're discontinued, I can't exchange for different sizes.

I don't do the kind of activity that would necessitate such a sturdy shoe. It reminded me of my grandmother's orthpedic shoes.

I'm a nurse and on my feet a lot. These particular sneaks are no good for the length of time I spend on my feet. After a couple hours the balls of my feet are killing me.

Well at first I thought these were great. Very cushiony and good support. But the first day I had a really long day in the I started getting a sore spot on the side of my foot just above the heel. It was red and looked and felt like beginning of a blister. There is kind of a hard dpotvin shoe there and it just rubbed my foot raw

The look of the sneakers is nice but can't say it's very comfortable. I have flat feet and need a stable platform, these sneakers didn't provide that.

I usually buy the Bondi style. Thought I'd give the Gaviota a try since I found it on sale. Turns out that free shipping doesn't apply to sale items so I was disappointed. However, you can get the shoes from a different website that offers free shipping, even if the shoe is on sale. At the cost of these shoes from the manufacturer you'd think they'd give you a break on the shipping, sale or not. The shoe itself is just ok, like the Bondi. I may give the opportunity to another brand next go around. I work 12 hour shift so good shoes is a must.

I'm a nurse so I'm on my feet for hours of the day and I just can't get used to these shoes. I think possibly my arches are too high and I'm missing that support, but also there's a seam that rubs the medial side of both of my feet that I can't get over. I know lots of people who love their hokas but everyone has different shape feet and sadly just don't think these work for me.

I stand on a concrete floor, 8hrs a day for at least 4 days or more a week. I began to develop pain in my feet, knees and hips. I reluctantly bought sneakers from Hoka on my doctor's recommendation. I must say I'm disappointed. My feet hurt just as bad of not worse at times. I have them a chance to break in, but no relief. I didn't find that they were plush at all either. I can see what they were trying to do, but my feet just weren't happy. I had to go back to my old New Balance.

I'd seen ads for these shoes, but when I saw a doctor's recommendation for these shoes for plantar fasciitis, I decided to give them a try. They were more than I wanted to spend but if they helped with foot pain, it would be worth it. Bottom line, I don't think they help any more so than cheaper Skechers, etc. The cloth on top is already very dirty, and the sole on the heel is so think, I think they look a little weird. They look like old lady shoes, but everyone seems to think they're cool. I guess I'll keep these, but won't be buying more.

I bought a nine wide and it was a good fit. I could feel the difference in stability although not much between the Bondi and the Gaviota. I had one problem, but it's a big one. I keep stepping on the outer sole of the other shoe and tripping myself to the point where it's become dangerous so I will have to return the pair of Gaviotas. I would definitely exchange and not return because I do like the shoe brand and the comfort it provides.
One thing that made me very unhappy is that after spending over $500 on shoes I get an email the next day advertising that there's a free gift with purchase. Customer service wasn't helpful as far as considering giving me the product anyway, I hope they will be more helpful in doing the exchange,

I wore these shoes four times and I have shin splints. I am an an every day walker, so I should not have developed pain. The pad of my right foot was numb. The last three pairs of Hoka that I have purchased I have not been impressed with. Sad
