Not enough cushion or arch support so I'm returning these.

I usually LOVE this shoe. Unfortunately, I fell between sizes this time around. Normally, I am a true 8.5 but that was a bit too short for me. I exchanged it for a 9 which then was a tad too big (wide) for my foot. The search continues

I have really flat feet and was doing research on shoes that would support my feet. I was recommended Hokas and the customer service was great. I thought I needed a smaller size when they didn't work out for me at first, and the exchange was quick. The top and sides of the shoes feel comfortable and snug on my feet. However the bottoms are thick and hard, not a soft material so it added negative pressure to my feet while standing at work all day. I was looking for relief in these shoes but they actually brought elevated pain and new pain to my ankles. They also added about an inch and a half to my height, which is neutral to me but some people may like that or not like that. Ultimately the shoes are not for me and I was disappointed that they did not provide me the comfort that so many other people have found in these shoes.

I think these would have been nice to me the pic looks like a dark pink but they are more purple so I had to return

I wanted so much to love these shoes, but alas, they were too tight, especially in the toe box. I have never taken a wide size in my life, but these shoes were way too narrow and pinched my toes together. Also, they felt quite hot, perhaps because my feet were so squeezed. Otherwise, the shoes were well made and had lots of cushion. Alas, they just didn't work for me.

Gaviota 4 have smaller toe box and don't fit like "3". Also they aren't as "soft" underfoot.

Cushioning below expectations. Felt uncomfortable pressure on ball of my feet doing elliptical workout. I returned the shoes.

I walk at a hospital where the blue part of the sole is already unglued less than 2 weeks into wearing the shoes. This is the second pair of the same shoe since the first pair insole tore after not even wearing them for 30 days. I love these shoes but hate how they absolutely can not last without breaking or things wearing down too quickly.

I have been wearing the Gaviota since version 2. This one is by far the most uncomfortable for me. Or doesn't feel as supportive and doesn't hug my instep as much as the others. I find my foot is forced forward. Wouldn't buy these even on sale. Hopefully the next version is better.

I bought these not knowing much about shoes. I have heard this is a good brand and I believe it. However, I am on my feet all day and these do not help with that end-of-the-day pain. I need a pair of shoes that reduces that pain.

I found my love for Hoka shoes 2 years ago when I started my nursing clinicals. I was looking for a new shoe because I had been wearing my work pair for about 2 years. I stumbled across the Gaviota and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, something in the support of this shoe really hurts my heels. After a 12 hour shift on my feet I feel sharp pains in my heels and find it hard to wear these shoes for multiple shifts in a row.

For the price, I expected to love them. Very disappointed. Not that cushiony, not comfortable on long walks. I feel like I'm still "breaking them in" yet have worn at least 20 times now. Wouldn't purchase again.

I find the back lip on heal gets caught on things. This almost makes me trip or when it catches on something, it knocks it over. Other than that, it is a comfortable shoe

I have 2 Bondi 8's, 1 Bondi X, and this shoe. It does not give me inner side or outer side support. I can feel my foot sliding around, inside the shoe. The shoe is too shallow. I can feel my heel sliding up, almost past the lip of the shoe. I actually have to double knot the shoelaces, because they are slippery and won't hold with a single knot.

I absolutely loved these shoes and they are SOOOO comfortable BUT less than two weeks since I got them the soles are falling off and I have only worn them to work in an office and in maybe a few walks so it's sad they have deteriorated so quickly if it weren't for that they'd definitely be 5 stars.

Ordered a size 10 wide and they were still too narrow in the toe box. Had to return.

Wore these on a trip and after 3 days I was in so much pain I had to buy a different pair. States good for walking but I do not recommend.

This is my first time trying Hoka. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return these Gaviota 4's. They fit great!! They feel great when I first put them on, but when I walk or workout they make my feet burn. I've tried different socks and still getting the burning sensation. I may need a try a "wide" shoe. I'm disappointed these didn't work out, but I'm excited to buy a different HOKA shoe.

I'm disappointed. I've been buying the gaviota for several years now. I have custom orthotics and replace the inserts with them. This is the first time I've found them to be extremely uncomfortable and tighter around the toe area. So much so, that I am considering finding another shoe retailer. Very disappointing!

I bought these as they were recommended on your site for Plantar fasciitis. They actually cause my heels to hurt so i cannot wear them. I thought they would be better than my New Balance and they were worse. Disappointed.

These seem comfy, yet they make my feet hurt! The laces are way too long. That's a lot of money to spend on just okay. Buying online is risky, but thankfully, Hoka has a great return policy. I will say, they are the best looking sneakers out there with so many options!
