These shoes run a little short. I wear size 8.5 in other running shoes but my toes were almost hitting the ends of these. Also, I definitely expected them to be more cushiony. They felt stiff, wide, short, and were squeaky. If they were more cushiony, I would have considered exchanging for a size 9 to try them out.

Well made shoe, but just not for me. The sole is too chunky/clunky causing me to strike the floor without flexing my foot as much as I should. This exacerbates my knee pain.

I bought these due to max stability and max cushion but when I put them on, it felt like I was stepping on a 2x4. Was not cushy at all.

Bought wides and they are normal width. They also hurt my feet due to no cushioning in soles. These shoes are bad for people with back and knee pain.

I love the shoes and they are comfortable. However, the online return process is nuts. They make you go through USPS, which is a joke. I took them to USPS on 3/22/23 and they still haven't left my city. They still have to be received by Hoka, inspected, and be shipped back via USPS. For $185 (including tax) this is not customer service!

I own 3 pairs of Gaviota 3's and love them! First shoe I've worn that doesn't hurt my feet. I wanted some new colors and our local shoe store didn't have my size so I ordered on line. Length wise, they fit fine but overall the 4 is wider. No matter how I laced them, I couldn't make them fit snug. When I walked, I felt like my feet were splayed out and, as someone without much of an arch, it was uncomfortable. I have a wide foot already but these made me feel like I had accidentally ordered a wide. Exchanging them for my next favorite: the Arahi 6

As a personal trainer, I'm on my feet for long periods of time. Needed something with cushion and support for being on foam and rubber gym floors all day. These hit the mark so far.
However, given the price, the quality of finishes has me concerned about the longevity of the shoes. There were already loose threads, uneven cuts, and poor stitching around the lace rivets right out of the box. My last pair of Hokas (Arahi) only lasted 3 months before falling apart. Thought it was a fluke, but after getting this new pair of even pricier model, I'm beginning to think it is just poor craftsmanship across the product lines. After 10 days of use, already showing wear on the treads, despite never being worn outside.

Walking and gym use. I bought a pair of Sketcher's and they are much much more cushioned and half the price. My niece who is a nurse recommended Hokas because according to her any nurse worth their while uses Hokas.

Shoe is decent but since it's marketed towards those who work in the service industry (was steered towards this shoe from the quiz and I work in hospitality) then it should have more of a non slip surface on the bottom and be all black which is what most restaurants require for shoes. I have to keep painting the white edge on mine every few days.

I don't like the way they fit or look. I would like to return them, but I threw the box and invoice away.

I have flat feet and heel pain. The left shoe is very comfortable. The right shoe is helping my heel pain. It is very hard to find the correct shoe for flat feet and heel pain.

My foot is a medium width 24/7. I had to get a wide in this style since this shoe runs narrow. And unfortunately the color choices are slim pickings in the wide width.

It did not have near the stability from overpronation I expected, and the 7.5W was extremely wide.I probably could have gone with 7.5 B. Also, the cushioning was thick but not soft at all.

These are very heavy. I did try a half-size larger and they seemed to fit well in the toe area but the weight of the shoe caused the heel to slip with every step. I purchased these for running and that wasn't going to work out. Returned. Just standing, they were comfortable and cute enough.

I work on concrete all day, and was referred to Hokas by several coworkers. Maybe it is just this particular style, but they aren't for me. I still owe on them and can not where them. They really hurt my feet.

I really didn't feel a difference wearing these compared to other brands. I was hoping it would help my foot pain because they are expensive.

I love the look of them, but they just aren't as comfortable as I expected for the price I paid. My feet ache after wearing them because the soles are too hard. Going back to the tried and true New Balance 1080.

I was told gaviota would have even more cushion than Bondi 8. Not the case, they felt stiff and I sent them back.
Actually, even Bondi 8 isn't as cushioned as they used to be. To bad, we feel Hoka isn't the quality it used to be
(Tell me they're not made in China)!

I've used it for walking and just around. It aggravates my Achilles tendinitis. I had read that it was supposed to help. It only aggravates it. I wear my Arahi's and love them. But they are very cushy and I wanted them to work.

I'm not quite sure why these are so different than my Gaviota 2, but these are a bit too loose in the foot and don't bounce as well for running, walking and lifting weights. I find myself having to really tighten the laces for running to avoid my foot slipping around (and the laces feel much cheaper than those on my version 2s), and it causes my feet to go numb about 20 minutes into my run. It's a bummer. I'd give my original pair (version 2) a 10 out of 10. Version 4 are a 6.5 out of 10.

Not the most comfortable for me. Happy to be able to order a women's 9 WIDE hooray. Crazy that toe box is perfect and comfortable but inside heel is not and rubs in an awkward area. My toes are happy so will deal with heel. Hope it may wear itself in.
Wearing for training, will not put miles on them.

Bought these shoes to wear in the hospital as a healthcare worker, working 80 hours a week. Unfortunately, within the first week, the pull tab on back of one shoe ripped while pulling shoe on, and a few weeks later some of the grip/tread on bottom of shoe is coming apart so I can sometimes feel the rubber piece catch on the floor. Unfortunate, as these shoes are very expensive but otherwise EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. I'd consider getting them replaced but don't want to send them back and be without good shoes for a period of time.
