I really like the new pale blue/green color. They are wonderfully comfortable.

Ok let's talk stability running shoes. I seriously think Hoka's are top tier when it comes to this category. The Gaviota's are great but I am reverting back to the Arahi's for running and will just wear the Gaviota's for walking. These have great support and might I mention they are super plush (definitely more than the Arahi's). ButI have a narrow foot and have to lace up these shoes super tight, when I'm running it still feels like there is a lot of room at the front of the shoe. Now, this is based on my personal experience, I'm not speaking for everyone. I think the Arahi provides my narrow foot a little bit better support. But the Gaviota's are still great! Especially since I snagged them on a sale! Definitely have never regretted any Hoka's I've bought!

The fit is great, the style is, well, stylish, and walking in them is comfortable. The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, is the shoelaces won't stay tied. It's almost like the material in shoelace was constructed backwards and has no friction against itself, so it slides easily and come untied constantly.

Hard to buy online since you can't try them on. Our local retailer didn't have options in my size so I ordered online. They new sneakers are not as padded or spongey feeling when I walk as my older ones.

I love the Bondi 7, but since they no longer make them, (and I didn't want to wear the ridiculous looking Bondi 8's) I ordered the Gaviota 4's. The Hoka website description puts them in the Plush category. (Which is where Bondi's are.) The Gaviaota 4's are not as plush as the Bondi 7's. Hopefully after a break in period they'll get more like "walking on a cloud" feeling. The arch support is a little less also. But it is close enough that I'll keep them. These sneakers also have a more aggressive roll on them. And the Bondi 7 toe box is a little wider then normal, I believe. I saw some reviews saying that the Gaviota 4 toe box was a little narrower than normal. So I ordered a wide, since my foot measures right at the middle of regular and wide. I'm very glad I ordered the wide since they seem to fit perfectly. Hope this review helps.

Good cushion but narrow and short. I have 2 pairs of Bondi 7 and 8 (size 7.5 Wide.) The Gaviata 4 size 7.5 Wide is 1/2 size smaller and narrower than Bondi.

This is my second pair as my work shoe, my other pair last me 2 years. These pair seem just the same though the fabric on top of shoe seems a bit more loose/flexible. Overall very supportive and comfortable after a 12 hour shift.

The only problem that I have with these shoes is that the soles are a bit stiffer than my old Gaviotas. I'm hoping that they'll break in and feel a bit better but over all I do like them.

I'm a nurse on my feet for ten to twelve hours a day 4 days a week these are not as comfortable as the Clifton 9 shoes. Now I have to fine inserts for them because they are to expensive to give away

These are beautiful shoes except the toes. What happened to the wiggle room? Probably the extra cushion, stability and the fact they come in wide could make these my favorite HOKA. The problem is the toes are kinda cramped.

Pros: stability, has all black option for work, thick sole to absorb impact, has rocker bottom for foot problems Cons: Feels hard under the foot, not "plush" as promised, no water-repellent option for work (I work in healthcare)

I love everything about this shoe except the thick seam that runs diagonally up the shoe right before the inner heel/instep area.

I love the look, fit and feel of these shoes. However, I bought them because of the reviews from others I know personally who said these shoes did wonders for their plantar fasciitis. Mine has actually gotten worse, and was in one foot and is now in both feet. /Sigh/ I am at my wit's end. I was hoping to avoid shots but guess that's my only option left.

I think they need a little more padding for full support. The peach/orange should have white or grey laces instead of orange. But I can buy laces.

Shoe feels good. So far if there is anything you could do a little better is on shoe width seem still just a little tight in toe area. Other than that it's great so far

I actually sent these back and I traded them for a pair of Bindi's. But I did but another pair of the Gavoitas in a size 8 and they fit perfectly. I wear them to work and they have helped my feet and legs from hurting after a long day on my feet.

Very supportive for over pronation. They are stylish as well. I hope they make more colors and styles with the full support needed by people who over pronate. To stay competitive in the long haul, I'd reduce the cost of the shoes ca bit.

All my other Hokas are size 8 so that's what I ordered these in. I had to return for an 8.5 as my toes jammed into the end. I think they will be comfy in the correct size. A little wary of online ordering now.
