I love my first pair of Hoka shoes. Fit great the first time. A tad high under my outside right ankle but is softening up as I wear them. I’ll definitely be buying another paid.

True to length, but the toe box is quite narrow compared to other Hoka models. Bondi 7 in 11D was a perfect fit for me so I ordered that size for this shoe, next time I'll order wide. Custom orthotics fit comfortably despite the narrow toe box.

Fit perfect. Wear medium thickness socks. Heal flange is a bit big but doesn't get in the way. Rigid enough for rocky trails. Soft enough for old knees. Colors are absurd.

I have a hitch in my get-along so I'm rough on shoes. I have to wear a trail shoe for all my running, plus I am not little. I have a HOKA Challenger 7 ATR that I am comparing this shoe with. Which ever one I get the most miles out of will probably be the one I start running in all the time. We will see.

I like these shoes nice comfy ride, but they run on the narrow side and have to wear thin socks with them.

My husband is a Marine technologist and is on his feet all day long he loves these shoes especially this color the only downside is we have had to buy at least three pairs a year due to the bottom of the soles detaching .

Been in these since the Speedgoat 3. Technically this shoe is great - comfortable fit, dead-on sizing, spectacular traction. They are actually a great all-day wear for the support and comfort. However... there's usually been a more toned down color available for us boring people... but the current selection is a complete turn-off. Even if you don't mind looking like a peacock, the combinations are gross and even with all the versions they somehow come off as a repetitive series of puke green, psycho-yellow, and clashing pinks. Can't tell 'em apart. C'mon Hoka you guys are in a rut. Do I have to wait and hope for the Speadgoat 6? Deducted one star because I'm embarrassed to be seen in them.

Love the speedgoat and plan to wear them for strength training and hiking etc. Not liking the color I ordered. They look horrible on my feet. Like clown shoes. I should've purchased a different color. Oh well, lesson learned.

I've gone through three pairs of Speedgoat 5s (and lots of other Hokas over lots of years). Used them and loved them for trail running, hiking, daily wear. I always buy a size 12 mens. They always fit great. I bought a new pair of Speedgoat 5s a month ago: the white colorway in a size 12 mens, and they're a half size too small. None of my other shoes suddenly feel too small, so I'm pretty certain it's not my feet. Is there a sizing irregularity? Maybe a different factory? Maybe the white colorway? Has anyone else had this experience? i feel like I'm going crazy. Great shoes when they fit!

A long time foot shape shoe owner decided to try Hoka after all the positive feedback from others. The geometry of the shoe is very different from what I'm used to, however after a few long days in the mountains spent hiking I found the fit to be great with no hot spots, toe jams or heel slips. However the amount of gravel and dirt that finds its way into the shoe is ridiculous. Anytime. I was hiking in sand or small gravel the shoe picked it up and threw it against my back calves and subsequently funneled in to the shoe. It was so noticeable. I thought I had a branch hanging somewhere off of my backpack hitting my legs. The gaping hole at the back of the shoe creates a perfect funnel for dirt to collect which is a horrible design. There are a lot better ways to put pull tab on the back of the shoe. After a couple hours of traversing in sandy soil. Expect to have to take your shoe off and empty it unless you like getting blisters. These shoes should come with a pair of gators. Still deciding if I'm going to keep them or not which is sad because I like most everything else about them.

When I put the shoes on, I realized that it was half goat. I ran like a fairy princess! When I finally came to myself, I realized I was miles away from where I started. I guess they were all right. The heel feels kind of loose sometimes.

Shoe is very comfortable but they look clunky. This shoe holds true to the title I give all Hoka shoes, orthopedic sport shoes.

The Goat 5 is bad to the bone. It's light weight and the vibran sole adds some swag to the overall shoe. My only wish is I should have bought two pair.

I have been purchasing the Bondi 7 or 8 for years. I switched to the Speedgoat recently as it is advised for hiking. The sole of the Speedgoat has not held up as long as the Bondi has. Maybe due to walking more on concrete and asphalt than trails?

Shoes are comfortable once on , because the tongue is very thin, it's difficult to get them on.

I use these for running on all terrain (pavement, grass, sand, etc) very good pair of shoes. Responsive and light with good stability and traction. Had to order size 8 wide, because regular size 8 was too narrow and constricting on my feet. Wides are a little too big, but they fit much better and I can double layer socks if needed

Wide has some extra room that feels great. Love the red/orange. Super traction on various terrain. Not as cushy as Hoka Clifton model, but designed for a different purpose.
