Was told this is the replacement for the hupana. Typically replacements are supposed to be improved, the solimar is not. It is a decent shoe that is comfortable for walking but is not up to being a workout shoe like the hupana. Less stability/support for side to side or twisting movements, any side to side movement at all and it feels like the bottom of the shoe is going to separate from the top or you are going to roll your ankle. The only positive over the Hupana is it does have better traction on wet surfaces and does not slip like the Hupana.

Used as a daily wear to work shoe. Due to it's unexpected narrowness, I'd like to return it for a larger size or wider size.

As some other reviews stated, this shoe is so narrow that it's not even good for a regular foot, let alone a wider one. Hoka doesn't yet make it in my preferred color (there is a wide version in other colors) so I had to return it. Too bad. Very nice shoe with very soft and comfy upper. Got something else that works much better for me.

Not nearly as good feeling on the ground as the clifton 7 shoe. Poor stability transfer to the foot.

I wanted to use the shoes for normal walking, but the soles of the shoe are not comfortable enough for my needs. For me it needed to be softer. I don't have enough fat on the bottom of my feet. So now I'm looking for other shoes.

I've owned several Hoka shoes & been very happy with the feel, comfort & durability. Unfortunately my experience with the Solimar was disappointing. The shoe was not as comfortable as my other Hoka shoes & it seemed to lack cushion.

I am an avid Hoka wearer, as I probably own 6 models for different purposes: hiking, trail running, road running, casual wear, and racing. However, these solimar fit terribly. I have pretty narrow feet and they squeezed my forefoot so much it made my big toe and ball joint sore. I have returned them already (after 2 wears) for a different model.

I have wide foot and I can see my toes bulging out and makes shoe look ugly even with wide while walking. Still looking for comfortable walking shoe.

I was pretty excited on this shoe because I've enjoyed my Mach 6 (size 10, D) and really liked the design. I intended to use it more as a walking shoe rather than a running shoe. But the shape of this shoe is too narrow. I've walked with it for more than 50 miles now (doing 5 mile walks) hoping it would sort of expand a bit but the feeling is still the same. I should have bought the Solimar 2 since it seems the width of that shoe is a little wider. But this was on sale so bit the bullet. I regret it now.

Compared to other brands, this pair was too narrow and they did not have a wide option. Exchanged it to the next size but it was still too tight. Now they have out of stock and might have discontinued the model in a span of 1-2 months.

I wear these shoes to work, I walk about 7-10 miles a shift, the shoes have completely fallen apart and aren't worth the premium price tag on them.

I bought this brand after thinking I would make a switch from On shoes. Very shortly after wearing the shoes I had an issue that should've been covered under warranty with the sole of the shoe and they denied the warranty claim very flippantly. After spending this kind of money on a shoe, you would think they would've at least looked into it a little more and swap them out if needed. Do not recommend.

It didn't provide the same level of cushion and comfort that I've seen from many other style of Hoka sneakers.

These shoes are terrible. I have a blister on my instep after 3 days. Narrow with no support if you walk too long or stand your knees will start to ache. They ought to take these off the market. HOKA IS A JOKA

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. He's only used these for 3 months and the rubber on the outer sole is already coming off. It's really unfortunate because he has loved Hokas for some time and I was even planning on getting my first pair soon since we both like to run but I'm not sure about that anymore. He is not a crazy long distance runner either, just an everyday runner like the shoe is marketed. I wish I could attach photos to my review.
