The shoe fits true to size, unfortunately the mesh is terrible, the minute anything thing touches the upper, the material stains and is virtually impossible to remove.
I'd also recommend:

On the positive side, I like the light weight and overall comfort. On the negative side, the tongue slips to the side on both feet. Not sure why you didn't design this shoe to avoid that. My last pair didn't do that as the tongue had a piece of stretchy material stitched on to hold it in place.

I've been a fan of Nike for quite a while and have always been satisfied with their products. Recently, I wanted to switch to something that fit better for walking. The Solimar shoes arrived at my place, and when I tried them on, they felt super light and comfy, but a bit snug. I was tempted to send them back. Their return policy mentioned that Hoka would handle exchanges or refunds once they got the shoes back, which could take around 10 days. On the bright side, the customer service chat was really nice and helpful. I decided to go for an exchange for a half size up. The return and exchange process was super easy. As soon as UPS scanned the QR code, the Hoka replacement was already in motion, and I got the new pair delivered in just 3 days. It turned out to be the right choice; wearing them is such a pleasure

I ordered these men's sneakers bc I loved the color n styles They looked nice bt, have zero support. I used to love Mach five bt, I dnt like the change in style of the Mach X. Or the color choices for woman's. In general.. I gifted them to a homeless shelter. Perhaps a younger person will find them comfortable. Didn't work for me. Sizing was weird . Just off. I'm a women's 9.5 n a men's 8.5 bt, felt lose on the sides of this sneaker, which was odd bc it wasn't a wide?

Double foot surgery last year changed the shape of my feet and I have been loyal NB customer for nearly 20 years. This shoe blows that out of the water!

This is the second Hoka solimar I have bought for my son. I bought the second one because he refuses to wear any of his other shoes since getting the first pair. He is in nursing school and is on his feet a lot. The solimar is not as bulky as some of the other Hokas which I think also appeals to him.

i returned a pair of arachi 7s because they were to bulky for me and these solimar mens are just perfect. lighter weight with enough cushion for walking on the treadmill.

If you want a simple sneaker that will hold its own at the gym or as your daily go-to, this is a great option to consider.

Great light shoe. Size 14. One minor critique are my toes seem to hit the top of the shoe and for a split second get caught in the material at the top of the shoe.

These Solimar shoes are replacements to Hoka Arahi 7's I had purchased which came apart in less than six months. The Solimar style to me, is a lot more comfortable than Arahis straight out of the box. The Arahis had to be broken in.

I love these shoes. And for the price, I don't think you can beat this model of HOKA compared to some of the more expensive ones. DISCLAIMER: I am not an "Everyday Runner". I run maybe 10-15 miles per week either on a treadmill or on pavement/road depending on the weather where I live. If you are an Everyday Runner, you might want to disregard this review. With that said, I have what some would call a bit of a shoe buying problem. I buy too many. I own too many pairs. I think I own more pairs of shoes than my wife; not sure. I buy shoes first and foremost for comfort, and secondarily for performance and style. I own several unworn pairs of the classics, mostly from Adidas and Puma. I am "saving them for later", rather than suffering the devastating disappointment of not being able to find them, or realizing there was a manufacturing change, or whatever scenario where I can't get a perfect fit with a fresh pair when my current pair wears out. Understand? I am lucky I never got into the Air Jordans game, because I'm not wealthy. Also, as stated above, I do not run every day. Running is a small part of my physical wellness that includes a variety of activities I won't list out here. But I know if a pair of shoes is a Keeper within about a month of consistent wear, which includes running and cross-training as well as just casual wear and walking. These shoes are TTS to me, perfectly, right at a 10. I range between 8.5 and 10.5 depending on the brand. But when I try a shoe on, I start with 10, and that's usually a fit. I would say buy with confidence in your size, unless others disagree outside of a 10. I like these shoes so much that I will be buying another identical pair to keep in a box in my closet, along with all of the other brand new "best shoes I've ever worn" collection. If you want a really solid HOKA shoe but don't feel like paying $200+, try these. If you run 10+ miles everyday, and they wear out too quickly, I can't speak to that.

Absolutely love this style of shoe! I have had the Clifton's before and wanted to branch out and see what other styles work best for me and this style is phenomenal!

Use the shoe for short distance walking. Good looking shoe but not supportive for distance walking. Will purchase same look walking/running shoe.

this is my 6th pair - not because of quality, rather i appreciate variety. all 6 pairs are still going strong and my feet appreciate you. podiatrist doesn't want to see me for a year. i must say, my oldest pair of Cliftons are showing above average wear inside the heel. soles and all other parts are holding up nicely

Most of my body is arthritic, especially my feet, and I cannot do much standing or walking. I recently noticed both a doctor and a nurse wearing HOKAs and I asked them why. I was told how comfortable they are for folks who have to spend a good part of their day on their feet. So I bit the bullet and paid a fair amount of money for a pair of HOKAs. I've only worn them a couple of days, but they live up to their rep for comfort. Glad to have them.

When I received my pair the right shoe had a mark on it that looks like a grease mark. The mark is on the top. I have not worn the shoes yet and are still thinking about what my next step will be. Do I try and remove the spot myself or do I try and return the pair. I own a pair of Clifton 9 which I like so that is why I purchased the pair of Solimar.
