Excellent shoe, however, manufacturing defect where the sole was separating after 2 weeks of wear

I'm on my fourth pair. I love how they feel. I can walk forever in them. The waterproofing is reliable. The all black color looks best. The only problem is that they wear out really fast. My last pair, which I bought August 10, 2023, is already worn out, both the tread and the inside cushioning just above the heel. I wear them several times a 2-5 times per week, walking maybe 20,000 steps per week, mostly on concrete sidewalks, but also on soft paths in the park. I wear a 14 in the Stinson and Bondi, a 13 in the Kaha and Recovery lines.

I go through 4 pairs for these types of shoes per year, walking and hiking to stay fit.
6'2" 240 lb. Size 14 - former athlete that is hard on equipment and shoes.
60 years old now and need I need durable reliable shoes that support my knees, back & hips from numerous injuries over the years.
If they had a wider size these would be ideal. I sent these back, but they were well designed, just not wide enough.
I use another brand for now that begins falling apart after 6 weeks, but has the wider toe box...

I use the KAHA 2 LOW GTX as golf shoes all the time - 4 time a week. I'm an early morning due sweep on the golf course. These shoes are durable and water resistant as advertised. The only reason I did not give them a 5-Star review is because the shoe breaks in about 2 weeks of my use in mornings. I may have tried a half size smaller but love the shoe and word buy them again.

This is my second pair of Hoka and my first pair of Kaha. I wear a size 7D. My foot was a little loose in the shoe with a heavy sock until I cinched down the laces enough to make the tongue wrinkle a bit. With a thick winter/hiking sock I anticipate a good fit. I read one or more reviews about the front of the shoe crowding the wearer's toes. I had no such problem, so perhaps it is size-specific.
Of course, the bottom line is how the shoe wears when walking/hiking. For me, the answer is very well. The shoe is a bit heavier than my other pair of Hoka, but that is understandable, given the purpose of the shoe and the material that goes into it. The heel does not have quite the cushion of my other pair, but there is still enough to absorb the impact on several 3-mile walks I have taken on paved roads and dirt/crushed stone. Until I try them with a thick sock, I reserve judgment on whether I will wear them over rocky terrain, but I do not anticipate a problem.

I am a Ranger. I bought these for long days of firearms instruction, but decided to use as a duty boot ala special forces, haha!
They are comfortable and super durable with excellent vibram grip.
The downside is the lacing, I preferred the version 1 (which broke and were warranty replaced quickly by HOKA) because I felt like the tongue was higher. The tongue on the 2's is very low and feels awkward when I lace it. I recently figured out to utilize the third hook and get more tongue by skipping the second hook and going to third then back to second to tie. Seems to work at giving more tongue.
I am 240ish pounds and on my feet quite a bit during shiftthese squeak every time I walk! It's so annoying in the station when it's quiet. I've had them for almost a year and it has not gone away.
Lastly, I work in an outdoor environment and the dust is atrocious. They are black and the dust does not completely come off leaving the shoe in a state of tan black. I've rinsed, brushed and wiped and it never truly goes away. I can't attach a pic, wish I could.

At first I was looking for an all around shoe for my day to day. I'm walking on gravel a lot, play golf, mow several yards, have a son who loves to run and explore on trails/water, etc. Also, lately I have been having pain in my foot from what I suspect to be Morton's neuroma that is painful when I walk. It had gotten really bad and when these Kaha's showed up it was immediate relief. After about a week or two of wearing my foot started to feel much better. I would actually just end up wearing them throughout the day and inside my house just because they made my foot feel so much better.
At first I was hesitant to love them because of the look from the top down just looked chunky and odd with the heel being so wide. I was going to return and decided last minute to keep them and I am glad that I did. The shoe's continue to grow on me and we are actually up in North Carolina mountains and I can say that they are really great for hiking, grip, and all around comfort. I feel like these shoes are designed for this environment. Absolutely fantastic on steep grades and the waterproofing is a huge plus as well. All around I am very excited about the shoes and I even wear them to play golf. The style and look isn't going to be for everyone but it's grown on me and I look forward to putting them on.
Also, people have complained about the shoe strings coming undone. What I always do is a double loop (not a double knot) and I have never had issues with the strings coming undone.

This is the second pair of Hokas that appear to have been plucked out of a remainder bin. The left and right shoes are not the same. It looks like someone thought "close enough". These are supposed to be hiking shoes but the lacing system loosens while hiking, a poor feature for a hiking shoe. my latest two pairs of Hokas have been a major disappointment. Perhaps this is the risk one takes when ordering online. What has happened to the Hoke quality that had me buy 10 pairs over the years.

My favorite thing about these is how easy to get on and off! I was concerned with the laces holding the shoes firm, but they did so perfect. I live in the high desert so these shoes are great and not hot with the Goretex, but you need that protection when heading up the mountain or during the monsoon rains. Overall one of my favorite pairs to date and this will be the 18th pair of Hokas I have owned.

So far, a good comfortable hiking/walking shoe. Good foundation and balance. It doesn't have the plushness and air-like qualities of Bondi, but it feels better constructed. My rating may improve as I wear them more.

Very comfortable! I bought these for my husband, and he says they are the most comfortable shoes he owns. He has plantar fasciitis, and these have helped him get through the day without being in pain.

They fit well and feel pretty good. They're helpful on winter dog walks with my balky ankles (no trail running for me). I'd expected them to feel more cushy and plush based on my experience with my Clifton 8s and what I saw on the website. They're not as cushy as the Clifton's which is the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars. They're getting used a lot though!

I work in an austere environment and move on my feet a lot. I usually wear Hoka shoes for their comfort and plush cushioning. This pair of Kaha Low shoes does everything I hope for: traction, secure footing, and comfort. I will definitely be getting these again!

The original Kaha,11.5, fit me perfectly. The new Kaha 2 Low is slightly shorter and narrower in the toe. And the laces don't cinch as tightly at the top. The result is that my big toe touches the front of the shoe. I returned them, and rather than size up, I was able to find another pair of the original Kaha Low, which fit me better. The new version is nice and seemed to have minor improvement, but the fit is a bit tighter.
