I love ever pair of hokas I've bought this far. These are of exceptional quality, well stitched, sole is great, but I wish there was a wide version available, then I'd give 6 stars.

Might be a little narrower mid foot than my other Hokas of same numeric size, some boot stretching likely needed. Gave 4 instead of 5 because the top 3 lace hooks get stuck and do not release easily.

I am a letter carrier and I walk 14 miles per day. The shoes in our catalogue are garbage. I've purchased the Hoka One One twice. Each pair lasted roughly 6 months and I'm happy with that. The new purchase, Kaha 2, are very comfortable and thick socks made them true to size. Tomorrow is my first rainy forecast day and I will see if they keep my feet dry. They're very breathable and even with thick socks, my feet don't sweat. That's a plus. The pain from my metatarsalgia and plantar fasciitis began to dissipate and was gone completely within 2 weeks of wearing your brand. I must say that they are A LIFE CHANGER!! I wish that your shoes were in our catalogue to help my fellow Letter Carriers at the USPS. I have to have a note from my doctor in order to wear anything other than the catalogue shoes and if an injury occurs while wearing anything else, it's not covered, Doctor's letter or not. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY TO GET IN!!! Also ... A weatherproof WINTER BOOT, gore Tex and thinsulate would be AMAZING!!!

I have owned many manufactures of hiking boots for 50 plus years so have some background. The Kaha 2 GTX boot has pros and cons. They are very light and take little time to break in, fit is accurate and comfortable to my mens 14D feet. The heel is a little wider than say Solomons, and toe box about the same. The Vibram soles have great sticky compound for traction, we will see how long they last. The Hubble heel and Swallow tail is nice, don't notice the shape when walking and would think it distributes the loads better. The general overall construction seems ok for a light weight hiking boot, like many have said, best suited for groomed trails due to light weight upper and mediocre collar support. The cons: GORTEX, please make a non Gortex option, I live in the desert and don't want the added heat gortex adds. The tongue is poorly engineered, too short, not gusseted to top and too narrow at 3rd eyelet from the top which can cause a hot spot. The collar doesn't support ankle well, could have more padding inside at top. Overall seems expensive for what you get. The reason I bought these was I was hoping for plush cushioning closer to Bondi 7 which I LOVE but they are not. I get it they are hiking boots, but don't expect too much here. To be fair, I have a surgically repaired foot that needs all the cushion I can get and was hoping for more. The Kaha 2 GTX is the softest hiking boots I have found but not close to the Bondi 7 in cush or as heavy duty a boot construction compared to their competition.

Fit and sizing are perfect. Doesn't get much more comfortable. Only issue is the tongue is a little short and the laces sometimes get behind it. Other than that one of the most comfortable boots I've owned. Can't say how the durability is as I've only had them for a month

I like the shoes well enough. Overall, they feel good. I would agree with other posts that the tongue is to short and feels a little awkward when lacing them up. I have the Bondi X shoes also and they have similar issues with the tongue being too short. I wore them on Sunday on the trails my son and I walk our dogs on and they felt good.

I ordered these to wear as police patrol boots for my aging aching feet. They do feel wonderful on my feet with long hours of standing. They look appropriate for my street uniform however the leather is some type of smooth but split grain so it did take several coats of polish to make them presentable. Outside of the shoes being great shipping is a nightmare hence the four stars. They sent me the completely wrong shoe at first which I had to return. I had two of my officers order them. One of them got a size different than he ordered. The other paid for expedited shipping only to find six days later they hadn't left the warehouse. Hey Hoka, nice boots but fire some folks at your shipping center.

As a retired Infantryman/construction worker My body, feet, back, legs needed help. I still wanted to get in the outdoors and stay active to keep the weight down. These Hoka Kaha2 GTX's seem to fit just right. the Impact resistance was a major concern, traction seems to be very good although i think you need to wear off a newness film as in all shoes. he traction otherwise looks really cool and climbs in mountain hillsides. still a bit slippery on some river rocks after a slight rain but that's with many shoes/boots. there's pluses and minuses with any changes in a design. I watched you tube videos to help me decide. some mentioned the tongue too long but now on mine the new version I think is a 1/2 inch too short. I love all the rest of the design and colors; I do think they could be less - (expensive)$$$ *please * don't cut the Quality though. IT would be nice if they offered Veterans a discount. I fell in the river and my feet were almost still dry by the time i was able to get out. Im thinking about getting my wife a pair of the anacopas. the KAha GTX Kahas are a bit firmer but that's because they are designed for more real mountain type hiking, I believe, which i good. I may do a Y.T. review video on them. there is none on the New model. I may use them a bit more to check the durability first though. SO far, they are super & love them. Need a thinner and wider model though. a tad more tongue though. top string almost comes across the leg & sock without touching the tongue. I always make sure I'm pulling the tongue up as much as i can though. Keep up the super work Hoka !!!! first time buyer here.

Great boots right out of the box. I have been living in them for 3weeks doing a bit of trail walking and standing. Light weight, good support and generally comfortable. I was a little concerned initially with the low volume of the toe box. After wearing them for long hours and being on my feet for many hours at a time I realize that I should have gone up a half size from my usual HOKA size.

I order the Blue coral gtx 2 and thought these are over priced, and I went hiking for 4 miles in them and I see why they are priced that high. The boots are very good for hiking as well as trail running, and very comfortable on the foot. The boots run small so go up a size and order a waterproof sock. Try not to clean with cleaning products, because the color will come off, I just use a warm towel.

It's a nice comfy boot. I wish the tongue was a bit larger, when tying there may be a 1/2 inch of tongue above tied boot. Also, care and waterproofing/ conditioning instructions would be nice. The expedited shipping was a hoax, disappointing. Good product so far

I bought these boots in preparation for winter, so I don't have any wear in time on them. The fit seems about right, maybe a little on the narrow side.

Shipping was not great. the shoe fits great and there is plenty of cushion and support around the ankle..But I was expecting the sole more absorbent like the bondi

The laces fall off the top of the tongue. Lacing with bottom hooks first, top hooks second, then middle hooks last is better. Still weird.
But very comfortable for hiking.

The size 11.5 Kaha 2 is 4.75" wide at the forefoot whereas the original 11.5 Kaha One is 4.93". That .18" makes a huge difference after 12 miles and foot swelling for us wider feet hikers. Even so, I felt the Kaha One wasn't wide enough. Wish they offered an E or EE width version. Time will tell how much this narrower Kaha 2 feels...
