The only complaint I have is that one on the tongues is shorter and it keeps falling low.

Unfortunately when I tried the shoes on they were uncomfortable around my ankles .I usually use low top
shoes and don't think I will be trying anymore high tops. The Kaha 2 GTX seemed to be well made and the size was right on. I think the discomfort could just be me due to a similar experience I had with a pair of boots a couple years ago that were also uncomfortable around the ankles. Hoka seems like a nice company. The service I received was very good from start to finish including the free return and fast refund.
Thank you.

Love them. 3rd pair, I use for work. This years version seem more durable and better materials than the past 2.

I use these boots for working on baseball fields and cutting grass. Not as comfortable as the running shoes, but definitely are waterproof. Left sole started to squeak after one week of use.

This boot meets all of my criteria - Rocker sole, waterproof, ankle support, stiff forefoot, great traction, comfortable inside -- except it doesn't come in a Wide (2E). I can barely fit into the boot if I wear one pair of medium thickness socks. But there isn't much wiggle room, and forget about wearing a liner sock. Still, the boot is comfortable for short hikes. If it came in a 2E width, I'd buy 5 pairs.

I need to exchange for a larger size but they look good and seem to be sturdy

I love my new boots! They feel good and stable. However they run large so I would suggest ordering a half size smaller than you usually do. And they are not at all "cushy" like my Speedgoats are. I will be adding insoles to give me the added cushion that I am used to from wearing Hoka Speedgoats for years. Since I had to return the first pair because they ran large, I found that the return process was flawless and easy!

Out of the box, they are very comfortable. I have had a very little bit of break in. The crease o er the top of my right foot was a little dicey but is already working itself out after a few days of wearing them around town. I wear Cliftons which are VERY cushy. I expected the heal cushion to be closer to that. They're soft and cushy but not Clifton soft and cushy. All in all, I really like them.

I own two pairs of Anacapa Mid GTX and decided to give the Kaha 2 GTX a try. Upon arrival of my new boots, the first thing I noticed is its girth--way bulkier than the Anacapa--but I like its chunky look. Placing the ordered size 11.0 Kaha 2 GTX sole to sole with one of my size 11.5 Anacapa Mid GTX, I noted that the [outside] length to be identical. And placing my feet therein reaffirmed the equal sizing to be true. My size 11.0 Kaha fits identical to my size 11.5 Anacapa, with exception that the Kaha fits wider, so keep that in mind when sizing.
Lacing up for the first time immediately revealed what other reviewers have shared: If one laces using the top eye hooks, the laces will in short time work their way off the tongue and onto your socks. Yep, I can confirm a design defect in that the tongue is too short to accommodate lacing through the top eye hooks. But I find the boots to be comfortable when lacing without using the top eye hooks--comfortable, that is, for casual wear, but not for hiking. Without using the top eye hooks, the boot is simply not stable enough for the rigors of hiking. Hopefully Hoka with see the error in its ways and design the next generation of Kaha with a longer tongue.
Bottom line: Buy this boot for comfortable, casual wear, and not for hiking. Replace the 72" laces with color-matching 60" laces, lace up without using the top eye hooks, and no one will be the wiser as your pants will cover the "defect."

Great heavy duty hiking boot.
nothing at all like the shoes, these are very sturdy and stiff. will definitely take a while to break in.
Tall arch for me, makes my foot sore. I've worn them for three days and have pretty sore feet still.

Overall, the shoe appears to be good quality but feels a bit narrow. I typically select the wide option if it's available in a shoe.

I am an electrician and am on my feet all day. ONLY Negative is that they were wet after walking in snow and I was led to believe they were waterproof????

Heel is less secure than speedgoat but forefoot is wider. Wider than trail code too. Cushioning is a bit firm not as firm as speedgoat. Not for warm weather. Closest thing you get to a true hiking boot with sneaker cushion. Overall a great but the heellock could be better.

The Good: Soft shoe prescribed for foot pain therapeutics as I work on concrete floors all day.
The good: Good and sturdy outer that is very water proof.
The Bummer: The boot lace hooks at the top of each boot are annoyingly to big, square, and open, and catch on everything around and I find myself snagged on stuff by them and they trip me. A more rounded lace hook with lower profile might alleviate this.
Hoka should also come out with a safety toe boot for service industry so us union folks could get re-imbursed for good shoes.

I am a physical Security Officer and bought this product for the support and the fact they are waterproof. I was surprised that they really aren't that comfortable for daily use and I'm not sure I would like wearing them on a hike. They are hard to lace which made it another deterrent to wearing them daily. I will still wear them when it snows and I look forward to seeing how warm they stay at that time.

Overall the boot is very light weight and comfortable. I love my Hoka shoes so I figured I would try the boot for work (Police). They are pretty good but could be better.
The boot laces do not stay tied very well. For tactical purposes, the boot should be all black and not have any reflective material like it does on the back or yellow on it. Also, a side zip option would be fantastic.
I love it is Gortex water proof very light weight. Just wish the options I mentions existed. Hopefully they update the boot in the future.

I wore them all over Kenya for over 6 weeks. They were comfortable, gave great traction, and withstood acacia thorns! My black pair are now green, however, as the high UV index literally bleached the color from the fabric.

Love this boot, I walk 40+ miles a week on wet lawns and these have always kept my feet dry. The tread is great but it's been 5 months of pretty much daily use and these bad boys have lost pretty much all of it. If you have the extra cash and don't mind the fact that you can't resole these boots, then yes buy this boot. Extremely comfortable making walking/hiking a breeze.

Selecting the fitment options was confusing as the definitions were literal w/o clearly defining what those options are/were. They appear well made. If you have a middle-aged spread as I do, tying them can be a hassle. Once on and secured they are comfortable. My 'foot print' (pun intended) is huge compared to the tennis shoes I'd been wearing. I have to be careful allowing for this extra bit of sole width or I'm a candidate for curb casualties!

These are very comfortable and are what was presented in the ad. Only complaint that I might have, I wish they were a little taller to give more ankle support.

Podiatrist recommended Hoka Bondi 8s for my neuropathy. I bought a pair and like them. I'm no longer a runner. I hoped these might make my numb feet more tolerable, especially for playing Pickleball. I have recommended them to friends.
I decided to try the hiking boots. I live in the Canadian Rockies and hike everyday.
The boots are comfortable because the uppers are soft and flexible. They do not offer me the ankle support my many other leather hiking boots have. I wear 11s normally but my feet move around in these. For younger stronger people they are probably fine.
I will probably stick to the running shoes but not the hiking boots.

Very comfortable. Like the boot. However my last paid had to be warranty returned for vibram rubber tread separation after about 3 hikes in the white mountains of nh . No problem with the warranty return and replacement. Replacement, pair had the same problem after second hike, but limited to a single rubber tread. I have super glued and am hoping for the best. Recommend they fix their quality problem with gluing the treads, or stop doing partial treads which are susceptible to coming loose.
