Health Care Provider on my feet all day, I like the color scheme, support is good Don't like: they feel tighter as the day goes on Room for improvement: I would take a closer look at the shoelace. The quality of shoe seems great, the shoelaces appear to be cheap

I use this shoe for everyday use. Put a more cushioned insole in it and made a world of difference.

The product looks good but they are not true to size. They feel smaller compared to other HOKAs. They don't have any play.

These shoes are super cushioned, which makes the perfect for taking weight of an injured foot or ankle.

Appreciate the cushion and stability aspects. Don't love the price. Hate the laces....yes,Hate the laces. Last version of Gaviota had amazing laces that you could tie in single, normal knot and never came loose. The material "locked ". The new ones laces seem "slippery " and I can't even walk a block wo them coming loose. Why the change??

I had originally purchased a pair of Bondi 8's about 6 weeks ago. I needed a 2E in the Bondi 8, but it wasn't available at the time. I bought the Gaviota 4, but would go back to the Bondi 8 when available in 2E. The sneaker recommendation said this sneaker was a better fit for what I was looking to use them for (walking). But the Bondi 8's are more comfortable.

Love the shoes. I have the same from a couple years ago. Ordered the same size, style but they’re too wide. Really disappointed because I love the pair that I have from a couple years ago.

I like the shoe. My third pair. On my feet walking 4-5 days a week about 20,000 steps a day, so I went plush this time. Think it cost extra but I feel it's not as soft or plush as previous pairs I've purchased. Bondi and some other type, don't recall, but wore those until they became slippers. Anyways, good shoe but "plush" might be something added to make it sound good. I bought some inserts and they helped.

The Gaviota 4 is my third pair of Gaviotas. In 2019, I was recommended the Gaviota 2 by a running shoe specialist because the Gaviota was known to have great arch support. The Gaviota 2 alleviated the foot and shin pain I'd experienced with other running shoes. I purchased the Gaviota 3 wide and enjoyed that they were offered in all black and wore them nearly everyday for over a year. I personally find the Gaviota to be the most comfortable shoe and only wear other shoes if absolutely necessary (ex. dress shoes). I purchased the Gaviota 4 because my 3's were super worn out. Unfortunately, the Gaviota 4 wide was not available in all black at the time of my purchase. The Gaviota 4 feels less plush than the previous model. The upward slope of the sole under the toes also feels sharper than the previous model. I hope future iterations of the Gaviota's wide offerings are available in all black.

My wife works on her feet and recommended I give these shoes a try. They are comfortable and took a little getting used to. So far so good but I reserve judgement until I further break them in.

I love Hoka Sneakers...this is my 4th pair! This particular model seems to be sized just a bit smaller than the other 8.5 sizes I have purchased. I think a full 9 will be too big so I am reluctant to ship them back for fear the 9 will be too big and i will need to go back to the 8.5! The is s the problem with not trying on shoes and buying online.

Nice, spiffy shoe. Usually wear a 10 1/2 or an 11, and ordered both. The 10 1/2 was tight all around, and was returned. I generally don't wear socks, and will try the 11's with and without, before making a final decision on them.

Not sure what Hoka was thinking when they sized these shoes. I want to buy these, but they are simply too small and too narrow. I even tried a hole size larger and they still felt tight. I love the support of these shoes. Sorry I can't wear them.

Great shoe but for the price the inner sole cushion should be much better. Too thin so have to buy one to put in. It's suppose to be EE but it fits lie regular width.

I thought I had purchased one of the most cushy pairs available but when I received them and tried them, it turns out they are nearly rock hard. This isn't a knock on the shoe, maybe I just chose wrong. I exchanged them with another pair that is a lot softer. Point of this review is that if you want a super soft shoe, this is not it.

I love the shoes and wish they had all the colors that they do in Hoya's Bondi's and other models. Normally I wear a size 12 shoe but I had to get size 15 Hoka's to fit which is a size or two larger than other brands. My only real complaint is that the shoelaces are at least 3 inches too long in the Gaviota's which means I have to triple knot them otherwise I am stepping on them. Then it is harder for me to untie them. But the fit, plush comfort, quality, and style are excellent. I now have 6 pair of Hokas and I rarely wear anything else.

Overall great shoe. Not as "cushiony" as my hola hilersbut i thinks thats because these have more support. I need support just not as much as these provide. The tongue is a little different.

Love these, I purchased a pair after reading an article about them. The only thing I don't love is the color options, none of which really work together and the only option in my size at the time is a far-to-bright blue. But overall, very comfortable for just daily use.

I am a nurse and this is my third pair of Hoka shoes. I have loved my Hoka shoes since getting into the brand, but this current pair has been much more stiff and harder to break in than previous pairs I had to replace the insoles within the first two weeks, and the left shoe has been really hard on the inner side of my foot where it causes me some pain. I have considered reaching out to return the shoes but they've gotten a little better over time, so I'm hanging in there for now. I know I'm a nurse and I walk a LOT during the day, and these shoes have a lot of promise, but so far they aren't exactly perfect. Time will tell how they do over the next few weeks!
