I made this purchase because my husband needed a good pair of walking shoes. The day they arrived he couldn't wait to try them out, so he took them for a walk. He came back from his walk so impressed that he raved on and on! Our family is now a Hoka family.

I've been running in a different brand of shoes for over 10 years so I was skeptical of making this switch. I'm glad I did. The Carbon X3 are amazing shoes!

These shoes are so comfortable and stylish. As a bigger man, it is hard to find a shoe that supports my weight. This shoe is light and comfortable. Best shoe EVER!

This shoe is one of the best running shoes I have ever owned! It is so comfortable, and the feel and the bounce I get when I am running is second to none! I use this shoe for race days, while I use the Clifton 8 for my training and prep days. Hoka is now my go-to shoes for running!

Overall it's an awesome tennis shoe!! I feel like I'm running on clouds. I have a lumbar discomfort of accident I had and I knew if I wanted to continue running this tennis shoes nailed it. The one that concerns me is I'm a 9.5 and bought a 10, I don't know if by breaking them caused a slip like when I do planks. Needless to say, I feel a little play in front of shoe.

The shoe was extremely comfortable and responsive, I would wear above ankle socks as the shoe fits a little higher (like a sock) on the ankle and can rub if you do a low or no sock.

This is the best version so far. The redesigned upper works really well, a big improvement. They retain the great features of the previous two Carbon X, they are super light and fast. Also these are the most comfortable so far.

They are very lightweight and feels so good when you run. The fit is excellent. If I had one comment for improvement, because this shoe is a sock-type shoe, there needs to be a loop on the back of the shoe to help pull the heal up. In this way, you don't have to tug and pull to get the shoe on. This would keep the heal from deteriorating which will eventually mess with the fit.

I can definitely feel the return when this shoe hits the ground. Some of my sprints feel like I'm floating. My only issue is with the stretchable tongue. I had sores at the top of both of my feet after a long run. I recommend folding them over on your longer runs.

Bought these for my workouts, they work pretty well and are really comfortable, easily able to replace socks if you want to race in them. I wouldn't say they are the fastest super shoe however they definitely are better than normal shoes. The ankle runs wide and it feels just a little bigger than it's size but other than that is what you should expect from a Hoka super shoe.

Overall an okay shoe. I would consider buying again.
Just go down half a size. I have a couple thousand miles in Cliftons and I thought the size would translate. I was swimming in the Carbon X. Otherwise a de

bought the Carbon x3. I am NOT a runner and this is a racing type shoe which has a rocker feel. the tongue is not easy to to slide into but once on, they are comfortable like the others. Also my favortie look of all my Hokas.

I own a lot of Hoka shoes. I wear them to work and run in. This pair (carbon x) have a sock-like feature that I am still getting use to. The fit is good and true to Hoka standards. This pair is better suited for running based on the sole cushioning. My last pair (araha) feel better for everyday use. I don't think I would buy another pair of these, unless I used them exclusively for running.

These sneakers are lightweight and extremely comfy. They were slippery while I was playing racquetball. Just stiffen the bottom.
