I sized up and even ordered a wide width. They seems to run on the smaller and narrow side. My foot hurt initially, but after a 12 hour shift they feel fine, so that's great! This is my second pair of Hooka. The first one broke very quickly from me not untying them to put it on and in no time the hard plastic in the back was exposed and started rubbing my skin. I've definitely learn my lesson. All in all, I would still recommend these, they are cute and fashionable, just was expecting more for close to $200.

I was very surprised to learn (from phone call with Hoka rep) that Hoka does not have a quality control division. Every one of my 5 pairs of Hoka footwear are the same size and width yet they all fit differently. Some i had to add 1 or 2 shoe inserts bc the width was too wide. Others I had to remove their insert bc shoe was too tight. I have returned several pairs for replacement and found there is no consistency to their sizing. I may have purchased my last pair from Hoka.

I was super psyched about getting my first pair of Hoka's but now I don't know if I'll be back. My toes go to sleep if I am not constantly moving in these shoes and so I don't wear them like I wanted to. When i am moving, they are great--lightweight, keep my stable, cushiony, but when I wear them to run errands, or whatever, I end up slipping them off in the car or when I can because I need to wiggle my toes because they go to sleep. I don't know if the toe box is too narrow for my feet or what. I've loosened the laces as much as I can. I'm bummed as heck.

Too narrow a heel. Didn't realize it until I had begun to use it. Has caused blisters on the inside heel.

Although these shoes are OK they don't meet the quality of an original purchase I made several months earlier. The shoe description states padded souls for extra comfort and though they do they don't compare. Also I ordered wide but they are snug. Lastly, the shoes have a low profile and they make you feel like your foot is going to slip out. Like I stated, they are OK but for 20 dollars more, my original purchase can no be beat.

Shoes comfortable but they are already showing extreme wear on the bottoms of shoes and inside on the heals. Way too much money to not hold up very long.

This is my first HOKA purchase. Although the Arahi is a nice shoe ,I am not sure this is the proper shoe for me. The Gaviota 4 might be a better option.

They are used for walking; support on the left is rigid/uncomfortable and I am hoping it eases up as I break them in further; the EE is snug and I hope they loosen up a tiny bit

These were very comfortable at the start and I loved them, as I am starting to get more active and walking 2-3 miles/day I noticed that I started developing calluses on my right foot from the rubbing on the side. Now I am at the point to where the shoes are too painful to wear for any length of time. I had hoped that I was finally able to find a good pair of shoes, I am disappointed and on the search for something that will work.

Thought I would try Hoka. This model intrigued me because of the support on the ankles. Nice looking, great feel, great support, but to Hot! They don't seem to be vented enough for even a small run. I may try running with out socks

Overall, this is a good shoe. For me the price is high and the durability/longevity of the sidewalls and the sole/tread needs improvement.

Hokas were recommended to me for their rocker sole. Checking the website, I chose the "Orthopedic" selection of shoes. There wasn't any description about why these shoes were there but I chose from among these offerings. I originally chose a woman's shoe but I have orthotics for my foot issues that have now been added to and needed the rocker sole. The woman's shoe did not work for me so I ordered the closest size I could find in the men's: I ordered the widest shoe I could get that was close in length to my original size. When I finally received the shoes, I put my orthotics into them and one shoe was tight but could be worn with a lot of tightness in the width of the shoe box. The other shoe cannot be worn with my orthotic as there is simply not enough volume in the toe box; I tried wearing moleskin at the rub point which is right where the lacing facing begins which was the pain point. I could never get the shoe stretched out enough to alleviate the pain. Because ot too many wearings to be able to return the shoes, I am now wearing only one orthotic and trying to make the shoes work.
My points are that orthopedic shoes need to be wider in all offerings. People who need orthopedic shoes often wear orthotics. It would be nice if they could wear your shoes to do that. In addition, more and more people need wide widths so a wider platform as well as a "wider" toe box volume would be great.

I orderd my normal size for Hoka shoes - 8, which is already a 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear in running shoes. This model was much longer than the other size 8 from Hoka. So, I exchanged it for 7.5. The length and toe width was fine but the heal width was very narrow. If caused pain after just wearing them a short time. Unfortunately, I had to return them.

wrong size and not the best shoe for a big guy who pronates. I replaced it with the Bondi 8 with which I have had some experience.

I work 12 hour shifts at a trauma hospital and I'm on my feet most of the time. The cushion is great in these shoes but I wish I would have got a xtra wide shoe but there isn't very many options in black and there isn't an Xtra wide option in this model. Suffering through a expensive purchase.

Liked these shoes but they were way too narrow. I haven’t had this issue with other brands.

Tongue of the shoes is restricted to the point that I could not get them on. Perhaps if I cut the restricting fabric on each side of the tongue, they would have allowed my feet in. I did not want to damage the shoes. Also, the upper part of the shoe buckled as I attempted to put them on. So, I returned them.

Went on a walk with nice Bomba socks and ended up with a blister on my heal after the first wear. There’s an odd shape in the heal- almost like a ridge in a halo around the heal. I had to put an insert cushion in the heal.

Since I've gotten my Hokas, I have two pairs that I alternate, my plantar fasciitis is less troublesome. However, I've been getting blood blisters near my left foot's bunion. I don't know if it's the shoes because they are very comfortable to wear. My biggest problem though is that after about half an hour of walking my feet get very hot and sweaty.
Suggestions?

I chose Arahi because I am a pronator. I wear the sneakers each day for walking 3 to 4 miles. Initially, I developed a blister over the median side of my left heel as well as the inner aspect of my left great toe. I cushioned these areas with bandages and seem to do be doing well now. Overall, these are not as comfortable as I would like them to be.

I wear them to do valet in, after two shifts I had to get insoles because the factory ones were pinching the side of my foot. I got some new insoles threw out the default ones they are pretty good shoes my feet feel good at the end of the shift but not sure if it's the insole or the shoe.
