These are your basic mittens for playing in the snow. They are soft, pliable and comfortable. I usually wear a small, but my hands tend to get really cold, so I ordered a medium so I can put something under them. It gets really cold in MI, but I walk outside if the wind chill is over 5 degrees. I'll need a liner if it's that cold.

These mittens were great! A bit roomy, windproof & warm, esp. with a thin liner underneath in very cold westher. Unfortunately, I lost one of them, my mistake, very sad.

Very warm and cozy. I have small hands and the small fit perfectly. I would say they are waterproof - would keep my hands dry in rain and if I were handling snow. Lined with fleece!

I always have a problem with cold hands. These are the best mittens I've tried. My hands get chilly, but not cold. I can easily tolerate a long walk on a very cold new england day!! Definitely getting a pair my sister. Thanks LL Bean for making winter more comfortable!!!

I was concerned after reading some other reviews about their warmth but my concerns entirely went away the first time I put them on for my winter daily walk. It was zero degree with the wind chill and the mittens were so warm that after some distance I had to take them off! I highly recommend these for northeast winter outdoor activities. And yes, they are so soft!

This is my second pair of these mittens, even though I still wear the first one bought several years ago. A good product that keeps my hands warm in cold North Idaho Winters and looks good, too. I hope you offer it in more colors next year. Fuschia is the color of my first pair, and I absolutely love it! Please bring it back!

I pair these with gloves to make sure my hands are nice and warm. These seem to be doing the job. Mittens in general are just hard to maneuver in. Warmth is the goal and so far I am pleased.
