I ordered this when I got my new pup this summer, to replace the one I gave away when I lost my dog a couple of years ago. While it is durable, it was a disappointment compared to the quality and thickness of my old one. The soft side isn't nearly as thick and plush as the old one. I'm keeping it because of the durability, but I so wish the old ones were available.

As many others have pointed out, the "L" size blanket is disappointingly small. I knew that others have stated the current size L blanket is much smaller than it used to be. Having nothing to compare it with, I figured it couldn't be that bad. When I opened it, I was disappointed to see that it is very small indeed. Yes the measurements are listed, but it's barely large enough for my 60 lb mix. For a $100 blanket, I would have expected more.

Somewhat disappointed. I have purchased two of the same rugs in years past and love them. The quality of this rug is not nearly the same.

Love the beige plaid on the dog blanket but was very disappointed with the quality of the blanket. We purchased a navy blue plaid dog blanket a while ago from LL Bean and loved it. It was much heavier, three inches longer and had adorable dog paw prints on the reverse side. We still have this blanket and wanted to get another blanket for our other car. The new dog blanket is about three to four inches shorter in length, very thin in thickness and can't even slightly compare with our older dog blanket from LLBean.

I wanted to love this blanket because the LL bean quality is worth the price to me. However, this blanket was VERY small, even the "large" size. I was hoping to use it as a cover for my bed for my dog during the day, but it only covered about 1/4 of my queen size bed and my 65lb pup engulfed it.

We've had the old version of these blankets and they are plush, tough and larger. This blanket is a disappointment. It's thin, skimpy by comparison to the old ones and I can tell it will not protect the bed or offer the same level of comfort as the thick (wonderful) previous model. Please bring back the good, tough and generously sized blankets!

I ordered 2 of these blankets in size large for my Goldens. One in burlap and the other in vintage indigo the burlap one is smaller then the vintage indigo one. I had both of my dog's names put on these blankets both names were put on the quilted side and not on the fleece side which I thought they would be on according to picture reviews. I would of never ordered these blankets for my dog's Christmas presents If I thought the names would go on the quilted side which I don't see myself ever using. Would of given 5 stars if the names were correctly placed and burlap wasn't smaller then the vintage indigo even though they both are size large.

This is a nicely made, good quality pet blanket, similar to our older one; however this large size is too small. Please bring back the XL size. We need a second blanket for our other car and truly love the XL size of our original one which (unlike the large one) covers the entire back seat/bench.

I'll be honest, I returned these. I loved the old ones with the blue cotton, plaid side and the softer nylon side and so did my dogs. Those are no longer available and this is the new alternative. The "blankets" are stiff, scratchy, and instead of cotton, they are a wooly fleece. My dogs have sensitive skin and need cotton blankets. I don't recommend these.

We received the blanket today, and within minutes our dog chewed a hole in it. Extremely disappointed that it's marketed as a rugged blanket when it is anything but. In addition, I would expect a much larger blanket for the price tag! The large is what I'd expect the small to be.

I purchased the rugged quilted dog blanket, size Large. For the quality/size of the product the price is too high. I bought one many years ago and after all its use and washing it is heftier than the new one I just received. Disappointed. Though a large, this item is half the size of the one I got in the past.

The blanket is smaller and so much thinner than it used to be. It is not the great blanket it used to be.

Totally disappointed. Nothing like the older ones I have from llbean. I'm now on the lookout for a larger, sturdier one like old ones. Llbean dropped the ball.

This is a tiny, lightweight version of a much better LL Bean product of old. Once upon a time they made a blanket of the same appearance but of a much heavier duty quality both on the canvas and fleece sides, and it was four times as large. This rather paltry version was so surprisingly unrecognizable when it arrived that we returned it immediately.

The blankets I purchased in the past were GREAT! Sturdy and a great size 44x58. These new ones are way too small. You dropped the ball on this LL Bean. Disappointed...

I've purchased 4 total of these and loved them until I bought the last one a silver w Sherpa color , for some reason my dog shredded this thing in pieces ! I use them folded inside their ruffland crates and normally have no problems this one is finally completely torn up!
