Our 95 # dog loves this. We found size Large is the right size for her. In fact, I have been known to take naps on this dog bed, it's honestly THAT comfortable. :-)

The best dog bed made. Durable, comfortable, easy to keep clean, easy to remove cover, easy to install cover. lasts long.

Our dog likes to dig on the couch and sleep there. He has switched to this bed for digging and sometimes sleeping. He is 28 inches long from base of neck to base of tail and weighs 80 lbs. We went with the large. He sleeps with his head on the bolster arm. If he tried to sleep with his head on the bed, it might be a little short for him.

The instructions for inserting the base were confusing. First, the bed was supposed to be upside down. Then the base was to be inserted right side up. I ended up inserting it with the cones in the upward position while the bed was on the floor. I think that would be correct. My dog didn't like the bed at first. For the first week I had to take him to the bed and tell him to stay. Slowly, he's adapted to it and now spends the night in it. We previously had an LLBean round bed. I've used the fleece cover on top of the new bed to give him some familiarity. It's now much easier to just throw this cover into the wash every few weeks.

Dog is Happy, I did buy wicked soft blankets to makeup for the rough feeling denim.

This bed is just what my older border collie needed. She took to it right away! LL Bean dog beds are very well made and will last for years! I have another style that is several years old.

Love these therapeutic beds. Bought one years ago for a 10 year old Husky Akita mix who was with us until she was 17. New one is for a young Shepherd. Bed and cover are comfortable and sturdy. Bed, and hopefully dog, will be with us for a long time.

Our dogs love this bed. They moved right in and the old bed bought elsewhere is no longer getting used. Thanks for a well made product.

There's nothing like an LLBean dog bed Worth every penny. Had one for over 20 years, outlived 3 dogs and is still in perfect condition.

I just finished assembling this dog bed and my German and black lab refuse to get out of it. Excellent product!! Very thick and durable mattress with sturdy cover. We have a hit on our hands!!

This bed literally has lasted us 20 years for a golden and yellow lab. It is super comfortable, has never lost the cushion on the edges, easy enough to wash, the dogs loved it. Worth every penny.

This is a quality bed! The assembly was very easy, Bean must have made some changes with the design because previous reviews made me think it would be quite difficult, but it certainly was a breeze. The mattress is a firm foam and substantial. The bolsters are nice plump cushions and the cover is a sturdy weave with zippers galore! My pup is a solid 55 pounds and the medium is perfect for her and my cat! Thank you LL Bean! It's a sharp looking pup couch!

The material is slightly course, so as the weather becomes warmer, our dog enjoys the coolness of the fabric more & more. Truth be told, I have never been ddisappointed with any LL Bean product.

This isn't the first time I have purchased this bed. It is a my go to for the dogs I have had. My 15 year boy really enjoys his bed. It is very comfortable as he sleeps on it all night.

Great bed..Sophie is a lab and has arthritis so the foam is perfect for her and she loves the bolster.lots of room for her to stretch out.

After numerous disaster-beds for my 14 lb Cava-Poo-Chon, I remembered the beautiful, sturdy LLBean beds my 2 Golden Retrievers used to enjoy and I ordered the Therapeutic Dog Couch for my Little Man, who is an incessant digger and obsessively needs to arrange and re-arrange his sleeping accommodations, just to his liking! This dog bed can handle the scratching and digging and once my curly boy is satisfied with the way his bed looks and feels, he will plop down in it and be fast asleep before we know it! I hope that some of the reviews won't deter dog owners from ordering this therapeutic couch, because putting it together really is not at all problematic. If I, at over 80 yrs of age can do it, anyone else can also! The bed comes with clear instructions, just take your time and you will get those bolsters just perfectly in place. Love the fact that the bolsters are encased in a sturdy, nylon fabric, which can easily be spot-cleaned. Today our protective liner will arrive but to be on the safe side, I inserted a large wee-pad over the orthopedic foam of the bottom, just in case. From past experience I know these beds wash beautifully and their zippers also are extra sturdy and nicely hidden in a special "pocket" Love the convoluted foam of the bottom, which supports gently and does not feel like my little guy is sleeping on a rock. I am very pleased with this Therapeutic Dog Couch and so is my dog, he loves it and we heartily recommend it to all dog owners shopping for a beautifully constructed dog bed for their fur-children which will give comfort and good rests for many years to come!

The small dog bed is the easiest to assemble because of its size. Washes up like new and reassembles much more easily after being used and washed. The large one is very stiff and difficult to assemble/ I swore I would never take it apart to wash as it shrank at all it would never go back together. It was years before I finally washed it . To my amazement it came up like new and went together easily. Never looses it's shape and mine lasted 30 years before being replaced Also of importance, the dogs all love them.

Our soon-to-be 10 year-old black Lab mix, Tobias, loves his new bed! We adopted Tobias during the first Covid outbreak, and he loves a round LL Bean bed. As he gets older, we wanted more support for him. We have a larger version of this bed for our other black Lab, Bueller. In all, we have 5 LL Bean beds for our dogs-3 round beds, one rectangle bed, and 2 theraputic couches. We keep them in the rooms where we spend time, because the dogs like to be in the rooms with us.

We bought the small dog bed for our 25 pound puggle dog Lucy. She likes to curl up like a cat, so this size was a perfect fit. The cover is well made, the mattress is firm and cushy at the same time and it was easy to put together {5 minutes}.

Roomier than I expected - if your dog is near the boarder line size, it's safe to order down a size. Appears really durable and the surface cleans up better than the bargain-priced bed we first purchased.

After purchasing and returning several greatly inferior brands, I finally broke down and purchased my second of these. Pricy, but they last a lifetime. (My original is at least 10 years old, has been washed countless times, and is still great!) These are the only thick and comfortable dog beds I have ever found. My two English Springer Spaniels sleep comfortably together in a size large. You need some minimal strength and agility to assemble them, but it's not as difficult as some reviewers have suggested. If you're elderly or disabled, just get some assistance. The dogs love their couch / bed better than MY couch and bed - which was exactly my goal!
