Large enough for my large standard poodle to stretch out. Supportive and comfortable

It took 12 years of constant use before this cover finally wore out from our big dogs scratching to make their beds. This time I ordered the firm orthopedic foam and like it a lot especially for my older dog. Be sure to order the liner even if you think you don't need it for protection because it makes the cover a lot easier to get on the foam pad.

Maggie loves her bed. It is very comfortable for her and her friends, the cats who come to share it with her. This is the fifth bed that we have purchased. All of them are extremely durable, and our dogs love them.

I've had these for years and not a sign of wear. I have one dog who likes to "nest" and not a thread in the cover is disturbed. The design is user friendly - zipper on the long side to make it easier to slide the mattress into the cover, flap over the zipper to keep it from getting stuck with dirt. Hint: I put black plastic bags on the mattress so it doesn't get soiled, makes it even easier to remove for laundering, though the fit of the cover is ever so slightly big enough that you don't feel you are putting a banana peel back on the banana. This bed will last the life of your dog and beyond. This is the best designed item LLBean has ever made!

Our GSD loves his new bed. Plenty of support for his joints as he ages. Lots of room for him to sprawl and stretch out. Good to have bought the cushion liner for ease of putting the denim cover on. Sure to have many years of use with this bed!

My dog gives this bed two paws up. It has great support and seems super comfy. She thinks it's better than kibble.

Make no doubt about it, this bed is expensive. But, when you compare it to so many of the junk beds available out there, this one is fantastic. Very durable materials, and very supportive. Our eleven year old German Shepherd who weighs 110# absolutely loves it. He's been sleeping on it for seven months now, and hasn't complained a bit. I'll buy another one for our two GSD puppies as soon as our budget allows.

My sweet pup is 9 and had started having a little trouble getting up off his bed and limping after laying for a nap. I tried several "orthopedic" beds from the pet store and they were good for a couple weeks and the limping returned. It's been a couple months and not one limp and no trouble getting up! Highly recommend!

Always the best quality with these beds. We upgraded to the therapeutic from the original and it is amazing.

This is our second bed like this. Awesome bed for our big dogs.

My dog (norwegian elkhound) loves this bed. She has 3 of them. I have tried many different beds and this is the only one she will ever spend hours sleeping in. The other beds that she has tried, she will lay on them for a few minutes and then will just lay beside the bed instead. This bed has an egg crate top, and I believe that is what is so comfortable for her. This is a super durable bed with an equally durable cover that is washable. Worth every penny!

The therapeutic inserts don't lose their resilience as the basic ones do. The medium size barely fit my older labradoodle, but I recently adopted a golden doodle who is a bit bigger and simply does not fit on them when she stretches out to sleep. So I got a couple of the large size for the bedroom (had to get two because they swap beds!) and use the medium size ones for their daytime use in the rest of the house.

I bought this dog bed as a gift. It arrived early, was easily assembled, and is a new favorite for the recipient, a 6-month old terrier. It even stands up to some serious digging.

Kind of spendy but your dog is worth it. It's made out of something that seems unchewable so it'll probably last a long time. Very comfortable. In fact I like to drag it out into the TV room and sit on it with my back against a chair. The dogs like that.

First, let me say it is a great bed! Unfortunately my dog didn't like her new bed because she was so attached to her old bed (which, thankfully, I kept just in case). What can you do? But, my daughter has 4 big dogs so I gave it to her and they LOVE it. So, I'm happy that it is getting some good use by them. It is a great bed .... my dog is just a weird terrier. Looks like it will be easy to wash too and I loved the color .... it was a slate blue which was so nice because it blended in nicely with my decor. Oh well. (When her bed finally dies, I'm going to try this one again.)

Great heavy quality. Have a large...they are big. My Lab mix seems to like it. Pricey but worth it.

Great dog bed.I have a 60lb lab mix and the bed is bigger than she probably needs but, I like it because she can stretch out in it. It is replacing an almost 20 yr old llbean dog bed.
