I ordered my normal 4.5 medium, and the length was good but it was much, much too wide, especially in the toe area. Even tightening the straps didn't help. The leather is high quality, but the shoe looked very frumpy on my foot. I'm returning them.

First of, let me say that the leather is soft and supple and good quality leather. However, once again SAS didn't work for me. I just don't get it. I ordered a 5W and I could BARELY buckle the strap by the ankle and I mean BARELY. I buckled it on the last possible notch and guess what...it was too snug. The right sandal was a little better but not much. I can't even imagine a person who buckled it on the other side of the notches...they must have a skeleton foot. Also, after adjusting ALL of the straps, the leather strap on top of the foot was pressing down on top of the foot which made it uncomfortable. It was also very long, at least a whole size longer. It seems SAS shoes runs really wide in some areas and way too small in other areas. I will be returning these and am reluctant to try SAS again.

The shoe is pretty and attractive on the foot with a nice leather upper. The footbed is soft, and while it "looks" like it has arch support, what I experienced as I walked forward was that the midsection "collapsed". It was a bizarre sensation. I only weigh 115 - so it's not me ! I really wanted to like this, but this one was a no-go for me. Thanks Zappos for an awesome return policy.

Returning, as the heel strap rubs my ankle and is uncomfortable. In fact, the shoe was uncomfortable until I removed the top strap between the toe and ankle straps. The footbed, toe strap and front strap were very good. I just could not get over the way the heel strap dug into the back of my ankle. It would cause blisters. Would have purchased if not for that

What a strange-fitting shoe! Tried the narrow, and it was way too wide at the toe-box. It was also at least a size too long. I dont know what the issue is with SAS shoes- I’ve worn a 10 narrow for years, in every brand I can think of, and SAS SLIMS are too wide for me. I normally can’t even get my foot into a slim. Then this shoe, which is semi-attractive for a good-supporting sandal in narrow width, is wide and long... SAS, I give up.

The leather on the Captiva is stiff and inflexible. It hurt my right big toe terribly. I am returning these. I placed an order for the Duo which has soft and flexible leather on the upper. Thank you Zappos for your excellent service!

I ordered this in an 11 narrow because my true size -- 10.5 to 11 AAAA is harder to find than a dinosaur. Since I recently broke my toe, I hoped that I could at least wear this to support my swollen foot while it healed, and that the straps would enable me to keep the shoe on my other foot. Guess what! The shoe was too wide even for my swollen injured foot. And after I took it off, I tried the other shoe out of curiosity. Well, I could squeeze a whole finger on one side of the shoe on the other foot and still have room for a pinky finger or toe on its other side. Honestly, if I tried both of these on at the same time, I think they would be wider than I am. When are shoe manufacturers going to realize that they are missing a small but significant market? When I do find a shoe that works, I generally buy at least 3 pairs. I will bet my shorter 9and/or wider) footed counterparts don't do that. I can't comment on the arch support because it didn't fit my arch. All in all, a big (pun intended) disappointment, but at least now I know never to buy an SAS brand again.
