I'm so glad Zappos has started carrying SAS shoes. They are super comfortable. I have these in two colors. You can walk all day and still feel great in them. I have wide feet and high arches. These give me EXCELLENT support!

I have the white and caramel colors and I plan to purchase the black as well. I wear these with and without the middle strap on top to change the look. The only reason I am giving this a four-star and not a five star is because I am very disappointed that SAS has not added a variety of colors in this comfortable nice looking shoe. They have only had a choice of white, black or caramel for decades. What's up with that??? I would never purchase a $45 bling to add to any shoe. Ridiculous price for cheap looking add-on. SAS just needs to get new colors in this pretty style of shoe.

This is a pretty shoe, and is well-designed for size adjustment. I wear a women's size 12, but my feet are narrow, making it hard to find a sandal I don't slip out of. The SAS Captiva is perfect. There is enough delicacy in the details so that the Captiva doesn't look as big as it is! The foot bed is comfortable for my high arch.

Just received two pair of these (white and tan). The tan ones were for my sister but she can't wear them due to a foot problem. My only complaint is that I have a short wide foot so need a size 4 shoe, but these don't come in wide size. Therefore I need to buckle up on the last hole which leaves barely enough strap to put under the buckle edge. It's so hard to find sandals which fit me well and these are about as good as I've found. My friends all have normal size feet and can get great shoes in Canada so would not recommend.

These were as replacement for a pair I bought several years ago,I wore them until they just wore out. Glad you still make them.

Size and fit are excellent for me and that particular style. Unfortunately my feet are very arthritic - these are the only really comfortable shoes for me but because i have to wear them every day they only last at best at 3 months - then the support leaves. Customer service tells me "sorry that is the best they can do as far as durability. I have been wearing SAS shoes for 30 plus years.

These look a lot more comfy than they are. Foot bed lining made the bottom of my feet super hot and they are so cushy that they're wobbly to walk in. I need something more stable for walking on European cobbled stone streets. Velcro on the back strap was more noticeable than I like as well. Returning.

These sandals would be much more attractive if there was a buckle for the back strap. Velcro makes them a casual only sandal and screams old lady. Size wise they felt true to size but ran on the narrow side.

This shoe had just moderate arch support, less than I want for this price. Otherwise, the shoe had quite a bit of cushion and was attractive. I am returning this shoe.

My only complaint is that the front strap is a little too short. Because I have very wide feet I need to punch an extra hole in the strap....

Love these sandals. I wore them constantly, walking on hard pavement and never had any chafe or blister. Really outstanding. Nice quality materials.

I wrote a very favorable review of these sandals when I first got them. Now that I've had them a few months, I'm going to have to downgrade slightly. Soon after getting these sandals I noticed that the footbed lining (I think it is synthetic suede) makes my feet sweat. This is a problem - after all these are sandals and should be made for hot weather. And I live in New York, which isn't even that hot. I don't have this problem at all with my Birkenstocks (which have leather footbeds) and generally my feet are rarely sweaty, on the dry side really. For the price, these should really have a real suede lining or some other lining that doesn't make your feet sweat. I still wear these sandals, but it's a shame that I have to downgrade my rating. I would love to order more from this company but now I'm not sure.

I love the broad spectrum of sizes (especially widths!) that the SAS Brand offers and the awesome fact that they are made in the U.S.A. The Captiva is a great sandal for anyone wanting stability and a generous, adjustable fit and some cushion in the foot bed. I love that there is strap-adjustability on all three straps of the sandal. It is high-quality and well-built. I always look for those qualities in a shoe/sandal. Must-haves (for me) are the ability to adjust all the straps (including the ankle), a wide width (for my C-D width feet) and super strong arch support. Unfortunately, this sandal was missing the last (and most important) factor in my list of criteria. I do plan to try another SAS sandal style though, in hopes of finding the support that I need, since I like this brand.

I ordered a 9.5 wide. It runs more like a EE I reordered it in size 9.5 M and it is very comfortable. The leather is so soft and the foot bed is very comfortable. Well worth the price. There is a bit of discomfort at the top of the middle toe where the vertical strap hits your foot. I am hoping that it does not cause irritation.

Love these sandals. So difficult to find size 11 1/2. I have found a new shoe marketplace, lots of styles in my size!

Big disappointment in the Captiva. The leather is hard and stiff. I have bunions and need a wide toe area, but this sandal was too wide in the W and too narrow in the M. The leather is so hard and the straps cut so short that I couldn't adjust the strap buckles. Looks as though the only SAS sandal comfortable for me is the Sorrento, which I have.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I thought it would be a shoe that I could wear for a variety of occasions. SAS is a quality shoe company and I wear their shoes when I can get both style and a narrow size. Unfortunately, for a sandal, this shoe has too much shoe (leather) to be a sandal; the straps are so wide that my narrow foot is mostly covered --not a good look.

These shoes were much wider than I would have expected for a Narrow sandal. Style was not bad for a super casual sandal, but the color is not as is pictured. I was expecting a British Tan color as the picture seemed to be. They were actually close to peanut butter in color.

I love everything about this sandal aside from the suede footbed. They get dirty very fast and cannot really be cleaned. I just bought my second pair way sooner than I wanted because of that. They are very expensive but I can’t wear them once the footbed gets so dirty. It’s like wearing the same pair of socks time after time after time, etc....gross! I love other brand sandals I have that are either leather lined or have a cork footbed. They hold up a lot better and can easily be wiped clean. I don’t really care to feel like I’m wearing socks while wearing sandals which is how the comfortable lining is described. I bought another pair of these because they are incredibly comfortable for my problem feet that have Morton’s Neuromas. I have the Marina, by SAS which is cork lined and I love them. The cork footbed is much more practical. I also have SAS SHELLY and again, the suede footbed so I no longer wear them. Now I have a pair each of Captiva and Shelly with gross footbeds yet the shoes themselves are still in perfect condition. I don’t know what to do. I hope other people feel the same and will leave similar reviews. I really appreciate the huge comfort of my SAS sandals and the fact that they come in wide so I can always wear my correct size 6.5. Maybe SAS will take heed.about their footbeds.

Purchased size 7M which was a tiny bit narrow in the foot bed for my bunion....Exchanged for size 7W which was much wider than I needed so I'm trying 7M again. Wish the back strap had a buckle instead of Velcro. These would work for walking on European cobbled stone streets but I'm not sold on them yet because the footbed lining makes the bottom of my feet feel really hot. I'm guessing reason for this is that the material used is synthetic. Who wants to wear a sandal that makes your feet superl hot.
