I've been wearing the Liz for at least 5 years. I've gone through 2 pairs of black and still have my original brown pair (they are only 3 and I wear them less often). I was due for another black pair and ordered my usual size and width (9W). I was so confident that they would fit, that I never tried them on until this week as the weather finally cooled. I was shocked to find out that I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe! I expect a new pair to feel a little snug, but these were impossible to get on. As I am way beyond a return date, I will have to donate a never been worn pair of shoes. Hopefully, they will fit a woman in need who is a 7 1/2 medium...maybe she'll be able to wear them. I've since found out that Trotter's now has their shoes made in China. What a complete disappointment. If you're buying this shoe, order up a size and a width as well.

I have bought the Liz shoes for years. I just received the Navy. It is lighter than the previous navy I had. It also is very tight so I am hoping it will stretch. When I asked about the color, they said it was probably due to the fact they changed manufacturers. Their shoes are now made in China. It looks like they are losing their quality. I am keeping them because I really need a pair of navy shoes. Doubtful I will buy more!

These are not the same quality they used to be - the leather is definitely thinner and stiffer, the lining material is lower quality, the stitching has flaws, the soles are stiff and inflexible. Such a disappointment for the price

I really liked the fit and style of these shoes, but they were all scuffed and discolored in the back. That is why I am returning

I like the style and fit of these shoes. However, the quality of these shoes are poor. I've barely worn these shoes and 5 months later I'm purchasing another pair.

I was disappointed in Trotters. I've enjoyed these shoes for years so ordered Liz in my size. The left shoe fit perfectly, but the right, even with effort to break it in, was way too large. This is most unusual since my right foot has always been a bit larger that my left.

I don't usually spend this much money on shoes, but I got a new job and wanted some loafers on the more casual end. I originally ordered the pewter but changed my mind and Zappos kindly exchanged them for the mid brown calf. Well, they got here today and I was so excited to try them out and wore them to school. I read other reviews which said they were ready to wear right out of the box, and they're leather so I thought they'd be easy enough to break in. Not so. It was maybe a five minute walk from my car to class and my heels were destroyed. Nothing ruins a day more than horrible shoes. I limped back to my car. The entire reason I chose these were because they were listed as 'comfort' shoes. I would not buy these again.

I've purchased this shoe in various colors many times over 10+ years. Lately, the product is decreasing in quality, wearing out sooner than it use to. The fit (sizing) is not consistent buying the shoe from one year to another, so therefore this last pair is uncomfortable. It is obviously made in multiple factories that do not have consistent standards.

This is made in China, with the resulting traces of glue between the upper and the soles, manmade material soles and lining, poor quality stitching etc. Five years ago, the same style was manufactured in Brazil by Naturalizer and was much better quality.

I was thrilled to receive this shoe: it fit perfectly, was extremely comfortable, and looks great with crops, skirts, etc. It has been my go-to shoe for the past five weeks since school started again at the end of August. Unfortunately the sole is separating from the shoe at the toe, and the leather is starting to fray at the side of one shoe. This is not what I would expect from a well-made shoe. I was hoping to order other Trotters shoes, but am not likely to do so now.

I have worn this same style for years because I have a hard time finding 12 N shoes! But...every new pair I get fits differently! It is so frustrating! I even measured the newest pair to my old pair and it is at least a quarter inch longer! Why is that happening? It is hard enough to have to buy shoes through a catalog but then to have to guess what size every single time you order the same shoe is ridiculous!

I purchased this shoe in the extra wide to see how the sizing was. When I received it, it was huge and fell off my foot. I then ordered the next width down (D) and it was so narrow I couldn't even get it on my foot. It was reminiscent of Cinderella! I don't know how there could be such disparity between the two widths, but the regular width would only satisfy someone with a narrow foot.

Quality of leather has changed from last Old Trotters. Looks cheap. These are made in China, old ones made in Brazil. Soles are slippery. Not impressed. Sad I have to mail them back. Will be looking for a different brand shoe.

Out of the three sets of Trotters shoes I purchased, this was the worst fitting...I had ordered all three in the same size.

I had very high hopes for these shoes when I read the reviews. I have wide feet, high arches and narrow heels and was looking for stylish loafers. This is the first time that I have ordered the Trotters brand. I purchased an 8½WW and, in my opinion, there is no way that these shoes are close to a WW width. I do not think a 9 would work; it would just be longer and still tight. The shoes just completely did not fit right. So obviously, Trotters are not for my feet. Sadly, these are going back and my quest for cute, comfortable loafers continues. Luckily Zappos' return policy is the best.

I bought these in 11N orange. Immediately felt like walking on a cloud - well supported and comfortable. Alas, as a woven shoe, it "relaxed" a good bit by the end of the first day and was too wide to stay on my foot. I might try this again, but I will take advantage of the Slim or SuperSlim sizes, and I'll be sure to wear them in the house for awhile to be sure they fit!

This is such a pretty shoe, and I love the color. But I use orthotics and I'm afraid the shoe is not deep enough to accommodate it. Also, it feels narrow and I'm just not able to wear narrow-toed shoes anymore. Had to return them but sorry about it.

I have purchased this style in the past and this shoe is different. The side is too high and cuts into my ankle, therefore uncomfortable and not wearable.

I've had great luck as a narrow-footed person with Van Eli and Vigotti, but I thought I'd try these flats from Trotters. The AAA (S) were way too wide! Not sure but I may try the AAAA (SS), which is kind of lame - really. Shoe sizes anymore are so unpredictable! Also, I noticed that the soles were not leather, which perhaps is a concern for people in hot climates (Florida).

This shoe was nice looking but very stiff. It was narrow which I wanted but with the stiffness I couldn't walk in it. I have a problem with my feet and I couldn't get my orthopidic in also. The shoe rubbed again my foot.

Unfortunately, these just didn't fit my foot. I got the 9N which is my usual size. Besides the fact that the sole is quite stiff, when I flex my foot the sides really opened up wide. Plus it was a bit long. I was actually looking for a turquoise shoe and thought that's what color the blue was. It's a beautiful peacock blue, but not what I needed for my wardrobe.

This shoe fits like a dream in my most unusual size, 11.5N. But the Bone Calf color looks like more like pale skin. I'm going back for the black.

At first these weren't bad. I took them on my honeymoon and wore them around Europe for two weeks. But I have flat feet and when I got back I noticed my arches were hurting and my heels were slipping constantly, even with haute heelz in (one usually means the other for me). I tried new inserts but nothing has worked and now I rarely wear them. If they hadn't stretched so much in the heel, they might have been okay, but they did.

I normally wear a 9 W. I ordered a 9.5 W, and I am returning it for a 10 WW. VERY SMALL but nice shoe. (NOTE: I am being required to rate a shoe I have not been able to wear. I will try to revise my ratings once I've been able to wear the shoe.)
