I really wanted to keep these, but they were a little too narrow, even on my "skinny foot." They probably would've been fine with thinner socks, but I don't even own any anymore.

I bought these to take on a trip where I would be doing lots of walking. I loved them at first when I tried them on and walked around at home. The soles are springy and the toe box is wide. They would be the perfect shoe EXCEPT for the creasing problem I experienced in my toes. When I bend my foot forward when walking, the toe area creases in the normal place but also creases a little in an area where the hard toe cap at the front of the shoe hits the soft upper of the shoe. This crease hits directly on my little toe. By the end of the day, my pinky toe was in pain, but the rest of my feet were happy. I'm very disappointed that these shoes didn't work out for me. This may or may not happen to you depending on your foot/toe anatomy, but be aware that these shoes do crease in unexpected places in the front, especially when you are walking fast or bending your feet a lot.
The sizing runs large. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5W in close-toed shoes, and a 7.5W in sandals without socks. I wear a 7.5WW in these and they are large and roomy in the toe box. This particular shoe seems to run larger than some of the other shoes this brand offers.

I stand and walk around on concrete for 8 hours at work, so I got these shoes to help reduce foot pain. The shoes I had been wearing were made by an athletic sneaker company and they were comfortable for a couple of hours, but the soles just weren't sturdy enough to hold up to a full shift. I have bunions and low arches, so I need shoes with a roomy toe box and good arch support, also shoes that will accommodate my prescription orthopedic inserts. I've only worn these shoes once, but they are so much better than the other shoes I had been wearing that I bought a second pair. Sure, I spent a lot of money, but the cushioning materials last a lot longer if give them a break - kind of like people. My feet were still sore before the end of my shift, but not super-painful like with the other shoes. I am very satisfied with these shoes, and recommend them to anyone whose feet need a little extra support. I got my usual 8.5 wide and they fit great. The style is decent and doesn't look like something my great-grandma used to wear. I got the coffee and chocolate Nubuck and am pleased with both. I rated the shoes 4 stars, but may upgrade later after wearing them more.

these walking shoes look wonderful, but were really uncomfortable. They were very heavy on my feet and stiff at the ankle. I do like SAS shoes, but these were not good for my boney, narrow feet.

VERY NICE WELL MADE SHOES-EXCELLENT SUPPORT IN ARCH AND SOLES. BUT SIZE I CHOSE WAS TOO LONG AND SHOE FEELS A WEE BIT TOO HEAVY. I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE TURNED OUT IN THE SIZE DEPARTMENT-QUALITY IS SUPERB.

I was looking online for which shoes/colors I bought, and see that I got this one in the chocolate unbuck. However, since looking at my shoe closet - the shoe I received looks different in color & leather. It's a brown color, not really nubuck (the one pictured here looks like chestnut suede); don't know how I missed that when the shoes arrived. I'm keeping the ones I got because they are comfortable, etc. but keep in mind the photo here doesn't look anything like what I got, except for the design and sole. The sole on my pair is brown, this one in the photo looks to me like black. Oh well....

These shoes do not have any cushioning, or give in the outer soles. They are okay when you first put them on, but after spending a little time in them they are just too hard. I was able to put my orthopedic in without a problem, once I took the insole out. The insole is the only thing with cushioning. They are also a heavy shoe.
These looked dressier than a sneaker, I'm disappointed they didn't work for me.

Really great shoes--my feet love them! Unfortunately, since I've had hip replacements, I can't wear anything w/ a higher heel than my Chaco sandals, so these will have to go back. Just feels like I'm tipping forward slightly. Sad!

These shoes are lovely and supportive however, the narrow size that fits my foot has heel support that is too confining and uncomfortable for my slim heels. A shoe horn would be good for putting them on.

Good looking shoe and true to size, but returning because my heel slips.

I suffer with many foot issues -the biggest of which trying to alleviate is little toe pain. I FINALLY found the perfect shoe to achieve that. I constantly dealt with my little toes hurting and finding a shoe wide enough to eliminate that was a challenge for me....I finally found a solution in these shoes. I no longer deal with that constant pain...it is like walking around barefoot but with the support that my other foot issues require. Thank you SAS for a great shoe!

It is a very comfortable shoe, but I'm not so sure they are worth that kind of money.

Although the shoe is very comfortable, I felt that it was a little too wide in the heel, so I will be returning it. My foot kept feeling like it was slipping out even though I was wearing socks and laced it up tightly. I also thought it looked a ittle more "clunky" than I was looking for.

The shoe is great. The craftsmanship is excellent. The comfort is great EXCEPT for one thing. The synthetic fabric on the shoe's inset causes the soles of my feet to get overly hot and have a burning sensation. Does any one else have this symptom?

I'm still searching for work shoes now that I have peripheral neuropathy from chemo. The shoe was comfy but toe box huge. The arch on 1 foot did not line up. Not so bad looking with trousers eventhough they were orthopedic looking. Proudly made, no glue or odd edges. Just didn't work for me.

Pluses: Well sized, roomy toe bo, plenty of cushioning, good support. But--the sole is high on the outside, turning my ankles inward, so they aren't comfortable for me. (I've had the same experience with New Balance, which other people love.) Unfortunately, I have to return them.

The leather in this shoe is beautiful, and the fit on my arthritic feet is quite good. However, the shoe seems very heavy. Although the picture indicated enough detail in the toe to help minimize length,in the actual size 10 there is too much expanse of plain leather. The shoe would be much better looking in a smaller size.

I got this shoe for the large toebox, the wide width and the SAS quality. I wanted a good, comfortable, sturdy and not too orthotic looking shoe for everyday run to the store kinda errands and around the house goings on. I did not realize I was getting the S-Motion Technology when I ordered...hummm...different and I am still trying to decide if I like that "technology" for the purpose for which I purcahsed the shoe. I do really like the way it feels when I am walking however, standing is not so comfortable. And, the sole is stiff. If I was just using this shoe for walking, I think it would be a keeper. But, I think it will be going back.

The shoes feel stiff, not broken in and usually I don't need to "break -In" your shoes.
Color is o.k. Size is o.k. it is the size I bought with your other shoes at a store.

I'm still not sure whether I want to keep my new Walk Easy shoes. I needed a walking shoe a bit longer than my previous shoes. But I have extremely narrow heels. I bought the size 8.5 Slim. Unfortunately, with every increase in length, the SAS shoes increase slightly in width. So now my toes have space, but, with every step, my heels slip in the shoes. I do like the shorter tongue, as compared with the "Tour" style. (Now I'm thinking the "Freetime" style may be the best compromise.)

Note this review is ONLY applicable for people who have to wear plastic custom insoles for foot problems. My insoles scrape against the side of the shoe, producing an embarrassing noise every step I take. I have been wearing plastic insoles for decades and with other shoes I have either put baby powder in the shoes a few times or used Vaseline around the edges of the insoles a few times and either one of those will solve the problem permanently. Not with these shoes! I have tried both solutions multiple times and still get the noise! Don't know what is different about these particular shoes, as I have been wearing SAS for about 20 years.
