They fit very tight. And they will require significant break in before the are as comfortable as my Minnetonka Moccasins are

Sizing not realistic. I wear a 10 shoe and could not get a 20 slipper on. Had to go to an 11 and even that would not easily allow me to wear a sock. Width is also very narrow for a D. Great materials but sizing way off.

I have purchased numerous pairs of these flannel lined slippers. I still love them. However, the flannel lining wears out so much faster than the rest of the slipper. It's happened to every pair I bought. I just bought another pair, even with the expectation of premature wear in the slipper. The soles always had plenty of wear left. I will continue to buy them, but I hope some QC can be enabled on these.

The ones I chose were not the kind I normally get which are softer. It is difficult to know for sure which ones to buy because LLbeans description is not good. They have so many kinds. I wanted flannel lined with the soft leather outside and these are a hard leather.

The men's hand sewn slippers, flannel-lined are basically good slippers, but they should come in various widths. L. L. Bean only supply medium width. I need 4X width. Also, the heel is a bit loose. Sadly, there are so many foot sizes that it could be very difficult to find something to fit everyone. On the whole, these slippers are rather nice to have. The first pair I purchased lasted over 20 years. Yes, that's true!

I wear a size 11.5 shoe and ordered the size 12 slipper. I was hoping to wear them with socks. They are way too tight even with bare feet. With the flannel lining they cannot be any bigger that a size 10.

Good materials and construction, Too much insulation for too warm feet, Leather ties don't stay tied and are too thick to tie the fancy knot LL Bean suggests.

I've had several pair of these through the years. The ones I just received run small. They use to have a leather sole which I loved. Now it's some sort of plastic. I'm guessing that has something to do with the sizing. The leather sole was way more comfortable and quiet. The have a tag on the inside, right in the area of the arch of the foot. First thing I did was cut that out of the way. It was very uncomfortable.

The fit and comfort are superb! Only problem is that the lace material is too thick and no matter how hard I tried, the lace bow does not stay tied and keeps coming loose, over and over. I devised a "non elegant solution that consists of tying the bow and wrapping a rubber band around each bow. It is not elegant but it works!! (The alternative would be to take the slippers to a cobbler and have the laces replaced with cylindrical cross section leather laces, but that would dramatically increase the cost!

Not sure what has changed but the stitched material inside the slippers across the base of the toes is uncomfortable without socks. It makes a red mark across the foot. No the slippers are not too tight.

Got one pair of these and one pair of the mountain scuffs at the same time, after exchanging the elk hide slippers I had received as a gift (which I returned because they were way too tight across the top of the foot and had a seam on the insole that was very uncomfortable). The flannel lined hand sewn slippers are decent, what you might expect for being Bean's cheapest option, but can't compete with the mountain scuffs in the comfort level.

I wish I had gone deeper into the reviews before purchase as this is a heavily documented issue. After two months of wear, lining has worn away in several places - mostly at the heel, but also at the ball of the foot in both slippers. They are great otherwise - my partner loves them even with the lining issues - but this should not be happening at this price point and I find it very disappointing that this has apparently been happening FOR YEARS without L.L.Bean making any improvements to their product.

Mostly I really likes these. Real leather. Nice gum sole. I prefer the cloth interior to the furry ones because I don't live in a real cold climate. BUT... I could not get them to fit perfectly. For whatever reason the heal is loose and slips when I walk. I tightened up the lacing as much as I could and still slips some. Have worn moccasin style loafers most of my life and have never had a fitment issue like this.

I've owned these shoes for the last year or so, with maybe 2-3 months of light wear and 1-2 months of heavy wear (rarely used them outside of winter). The exterior has held up great and the leather has gotten nicer over time as they've been worn in. But the flannel lining on the inside has already developed a hole. They're also seemed to run slightly small. They fit great barefoot but with socks they feel pretty tight. I'm between a 10-10.5 so that may also be why.

The slippers are very well made and look great, however, they are a little tight to wear with socks. I believe that they will loosen up in time, so I'm satisfied and my rating will probably increase as time goes by.

Very good looking , good quality LL Bean slippers. However, they do run narrow compared to other out of box standard width.

Ordered 11M mocs (VN#1002664) hoping to replace my 6+ year-old mocs (VN#05488) since the flannel is wearing thin. I returned them since they are slightly larger than my well-worn pair, and suspect they will stretch even more in time. May order 10-1/2M, but not until the old ones fall apart.
