I've bought many pairs of the flannel lined smooth leather Mocs over the years, The pair I purchased most recently were comfortable and worn daily for the past 6 months. The leather and sole have held up well but the flannel lining started to wear thru after just 3 months - I've had to put thin aftermarket insoles in them so I could continue wearing them.

I do know that these slippers are handmade, I like that!
I'm on my third pair that I've needed to find the right fit. I'm trying hard to adjust to a not perfect size, before I try a different size, again!
I am reluctant to return three pairs, hoping the forth works!

Over the years I have had multiple pairs of these LL Bean slippers. I do love them. They are very comfortable and the leather as well as the soles are almost indestructible. Why then rate them just three stars? Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the flannel lining. Within months the lining in each pair began to show wear and and eventually wore through. If not for the lining I would have rated them 5 stars.

My husband has been wearing these for years. They are nice slippers but do not hold up more than a year on him. They could be better constructed. Pricey for the length of wear.

As advised, I ordered a half size up but they were way too long and very narrow. So narrow that I didn't trust reordering a size down. All wide options are apparently out of stock. The leather smelled great, though, and I think I would have loved them if they had only fit.

The toe box is tight for a shoe rated as wide. We are going to try a shoe stretcher on them.

I waited more than six months for these to be back in stock. When they arrived, I was disappointed that although labeled as wide, the slippers were not, making them constrictive like a normal shoe. I have another pair of LL Bean slippers and they fit much more casually. The quality of the product is very nice. They just do not fit well.

The quality of the slipper is good, but I was very disappointed with the sizing. It's hard to find slippers in an 11 wide, and was so excited when these were offered that way. I think they run small. The 11 feels more like a 10, and the wide is not very wide. I needed slippers, so I did not return them, with hopes they would stretch. My only other complaint is the tongue of the slipper. Maybe it's because the fit is so tight, but the leather tongue rubs in to the top of my foot, and can be very uncomfortable.
I have always been a big supporter of the LL Bean product line, but needed to express my disappointment with this purchase.

I was disappointed the local LL BEAN store was closed down, so could not try these slippers before purchasing.

I bought this pair of slippers in January because a similar pair I had for three years or so had worn out. About two months after I bought them the right shoe began to squeak when I walked. Nothing would keep it from doing that. I tried aching powder, baby powder, even rice and nothing stopped the steak. When I wear them, it's almost as if I'm passing gas every time I take a step. Embarrassing.
I talked to L.L. Bean about the problem (they were the ones that made the suggestions on how to stop the squeak) and they suggested that I could return them for a full refund. The problem is that I had cut the laces so that they would not untie whenever I walked. That had been a big problem before. With those laces cut my ability to return. The slippers was essentially voided. Really disappointed with this experience. I will try another pair at my own expense, but my advice to others is "caveat emptor" (buyer beware).

The sides are too high and make angles soar, I have similar without high sides, I love them but worn-out, time to move for new ones.

The slippers are great, sizing is the problem, I need size, and wide shoe. I had to buy next size up to accodmate the width, the shoe is loose on my feet because of this. Half size shoes are important.

Altho I think these are the best value in slippers and not my first purchase of them, I join others in requesting half sizes. A 10 is a bit tight on me and an 11 slips at the heel esp because I have high arches. I always have to wear a 10 1/2 in loafers to prevent that. I also noticed the recent purchase seems a bit higher in the 11 toe box than my previous 10's making the problem worse. I also join others in suggesting you find a better lining. And that you consider gluing the underside of the knot to keep it from constantly undoing, as I suggested some yrs ago.

My last pair of these slippers is ten years old and finally needs replacing; the rubber sole is cracking and the inner flannel lining has worn through in spots. After 10 years of regular wear, I don't mind replacing them; they were terrific and I wanted another pair just like them! But the jury's still out on the new pair. I bought the same size as before, but it seems like the fit is different -- longer overall? Narrower in the toes? My heel slides up and down and I can step out of them too easily. It's not a deal-breaker as I'm only going to wear them in the house, so I don't mind shuffling (they're slippers!), and it's possible that as they mold to my foot, the fit will get better. This is what I'm hoping, anyway. Still, I'm disappointed that the shape of the moccasin has changed; it seems they don't fit as well as the old pair.

This is my second pair of these slippers. The leather and crepe sole last for years and mold to your feet. However, the flannel lining lasts for a few months. I purchased my current pair 11 months ago, wore a few months last spring and a few months this winter and the flannel on the heal and toes is wearing away, same as the first pair. I do not have rough feet. Great product except for the quality of the flannel. Would recommend if a more durable lining material is used.

Received as Xmas gift. Way to narrow with the lining. This is the second pair I've owned. first pair fit well and wore like iron. Can only wear with bare feet and still too narrow for comfort and warmth. Size 8

Well made slippers but the medium width is very narrow. If you have wide feet, look at different style

I use to purchase 2 to 3 pair every yr one w flannel inside the other w lambswool, they changed trim in 2009 or so then slippers wear out quicker now, quality isn't the same yet price went from $39 to $49 now $50
I now purchase monitors slippers w animal figures on top they cost more but probably last longer?Wish your slippers were a tad lower...

It took two weeks for my order to be delivered. There is no excuse for a package to take two weeks in the mail. It will be a long time before I use LL Bean again.
