The flannel-lined version of this slipper (replacing the fleece-lined version) seems to be a bit smaller (in the equivalent size). I like the sole -- my previous slippers had worn completely smooth on the bottom, which was beginning to be a slipping hazard. The flannel lining tends to pull my socks down into my slipper, which was never a problem with the fleece lining.

Soft, with a great color. A great value for a house slipper that looks good and is very comfortable.

I am an EE, but the construction of this shoe in the ball area is such that it will be stretched by a combination of wearing and shoe stretcher tool. Of course I wish I could have had an EE, but this is OK. The sole padding is just special, and the appearance is splendid.

These are now my favorite, for sure.

Great, but bottoms are thin and will not last.
Need thick rubber and these are thin.
Most comfortable slipper ever though.
Thin flannel inside, but ok.

I ordered the slippers in Acorn. The first thing I noticed was that the slippers were considerably darker than the pictures. I thought I was sent the wrong slippers but the box said Acorn.
My initial reaction was that the slippers felt more like shoes than slippers. They were quite snug and stiff and certainly not what I was hoping for. I decided to persevere for a few days and, sure enough, they loosened up around my feet and have started to be less stiff. I strongly suspect that they will be fine in another week or two.
They are clearly well made and I really like the smooth sole. I plan to keep them and believe they will eventually be a very fine slipper.

I have owned severlal pairs of LL Bean slippers and enjoyed wearing them. However, the Acorn slippers were much darker than picture shown online.

Very good value and well made. I just wish they were a smidgen wider.

It is a comfortable slipper and appears well made. Hope that will loosen up a bit as they are worn.

These are excellent slippers. I had a fleece lined pair for years that eventually began to fall apart and since fleece lining is no longer available I now on my second flannel lined pair and even though they are great also the lining does not seem to be as sturdy as had been the fleece.

The slippers are well-made and look very nice. The only problem I have is that they seem to be a bit narrow. I prefer a wide shoe and these only come in a medium width. They seem to be tight but they will loosen up I hope.

Laces come apart/untied frequently. Better tanning would help or just get rid of them.

Excellant comfortable slipper to wear around the house! Conforms to your feet in a few days.
The non slip soles are great. I almost forget I have them on and would start to walk outside with them on my feet. The inside of the slipper could use a bit more fannel lining for comfort.

The inside lining wears out prematurely. I've returned two pairs because of this. I'm 5'11 164lbs, so the slippers are not stressed from large weight loads on the inside. Great slippers otherwise.

Quality workmanship,nice design.
Comfortable but I wish it came in half sizes.
Nice for inside wear but sturdy enough to walk outside.

These are great slippers, and Bean would be served better if they had slightly thinner laces. Until the laces for these slippers become used extensively, soaked in leather conditioner for days, etc. they are too thick to tighten. I know that they serve little with regard to keeping the slippers on, but they unravel "all the time"... Please change them for everyone else's sake anyway.

The slippers seem well made. We returned them because they were too big. My husband is having trouble finding a slipper that is not too wide in the heel.

The Flannel liner wears out much more quickly than the fleece liner did. I have 4 pairs of Fleece lined that have been soaked in natural laundry detergent and \ or oxygen based sanitizer and they're still great. Had them for years and years. The newer Flannel Lined after 3 pairs keeps wearing out the flannel in less than a year. Why no Fleece lined Handsewns any more? - used to be genuine lambs fleece too. I've been waiting, wanting, and checking for years and years now. Handswens have the best soles that stay quiet and waterproof after time too.

This is my second pair. My first pair was 10+ years. Lining just started to wear in the heel. Would have given them 5 stars except the leather laces are almost impossible to keep tied. Otherwise they are perfect. Only reason I have new pair is my wife gave them to me for Valentines Day.

Usually, I wear a men's medium 9. Both pairs (this one and the an "old Friend" pair that I recently ordered were very large for 9 mediums. One I'm holding back to try and wait for a size 8 to be available. The returned LL Bean slippers were, as noted, too large and two, not as light in color as the "Acorn" description. The actual shoe is much darker than photo. As noted, a nice slipper, but in this case, too large for a size 9.

I like the slippers very much and they've pretty much met my expectations.. They are a bit stiffer than I anticipated, however, so I am patiently breaking them in to see if they become more comfortable.

Very comfortable and can we worn inside - can we worn outside as well depending on terrain and weather. We live in VA and perfect to do quick errands with. Saw a lot of reviews about flannel wearing out only had mine a short time but so far no issues.

Been several years since last purchased and the lining has changed so we shall see how well the new lining wears, but so far my husband likes these.

This is my second pair in five years. Why did I wait so long to buy new ones. The first pair still looks almost good as new, but the flannel lining is worn through in places. The only reason for four stars is the leather laces kept coming untied, so I found some clear glue and fixed the problem. That is the first thing I did to the new pair.

They're great! I love mine because they are not too hot (my feet are usually warm). So I don't want all the fur that my wife wants. But these have great soles.
The only gripe is that they don't make half-sizes. The size abovemy heel slipped. The size below, they fit snug and I'm hoping they stretch a little more.
