Bought this pair after wearing an identical pair of these slippers for 10+ years.

The leather of these slippers are a little too stiff. The front half of the slipper is too shallow, such that he tops of my toes rub against the underside, which causes abrasion. Since they're sturdy slippers, rather than return them, I'm taking them to my local shoe repair service to have the front of them stretched. I will also put oil or lotion on them to soften the leather.

Years ago Bean sold a Womens' version of this shoe. I recently decided to purchase a comparable size for men. I found on the internet that women's sizes were a size and one half larger than men's size. I checked with Bean customer service and was told this was correct so ordered an 8 in men's. It was too small and returned. I exchanged the shoe for a nine in men's. This size is wearble but a bit too large. Will keep and wear socks. Bean should once again make this shoe for women and save us a whole lot of trouble.

My husband has worn these slippers for years and every few years they need to be replaced but this time they are more narrow than in the past. However, he is hopeful that in time they will stretch out enough to accommodate heavier socks for winter.

The raw hide tie should be replaced with something that stays tied. Always have to cut them off so he doesn't trip.

I wanted an indoor shoe that would provide slipper comfort and maintain its shape, unlike the shearling type that I have found, never do. I am confident that this is it. Purchased at store in Freeport during annual Maine holiday.

I am replacing my LL Bean bison slippers that are unlined and leather soles. The lining and foam lining of the new slippers makes them fit tighter across the front of my foot which I would rather have the loose fit of the old slippers. Suggest the lining be made optional.

we have 2 residences, and I have 2 pr in each location, so this was the second pr for here. I like the way they are built, and the wear well, and last a very long time.

True to size. Appears to be well made. The tassels keep unraveling and need to be retired.

The quality of the shoe is great. I got these for my father in law, who loved them, but unfortunately we had to return them because there are no half sizes. The size 11 slide right off and the 10 was too small.

Actually very very nice and mostly comfortable. But they are a bit on the narrow side and could be a bit more generous in the shape of the last. I'll keep wearing them in hope that use will stretch them out a bit. Overall the flannel inside is comfy and the slippers are made very well

Inner padding not as robust as earlier versions. But, still a good bargain for a quality leather slipper. Tough outer sole allows for multi-use. Like!

Delicious to wear. The only surprise is that you feel everything uneven under the sole.

I have been wearing these slippers for years and loved them. The new slippers were much wider on my narrow feet.

These slippers are attractive, comfortable, and obviously well constructed. The rugged but flexible soles provide sure traction and make them suitable for everything from plodding around the house to going out to the mailbox. I expect them to last several years. My only reasons for not giving them 5 stars: 1) One width only - those of us with wide feet must choose between extra long (potentially trip-inducing) or a bit too snug. 2) Foreign made. I would prefer these to be produced in the LL Bean factory, or at least somewhere else in the US, even if it would mean spending a bit more. All in all, I am pleased with this LL Bean product.

The size I normally wear (11 D) was too small, but it was exchanged for a size 12 wide, and it is fine.

Upper and sole are fine. Flannel lining won't last a year. That, along with the corporate political positions led me to try another brand. We have a vote. Bean has a fair product. They just act like Marxists.

Fine product...Except..Medium W was too narrow. I've never had any problem with any footwear width before. I stretched it out over the course of a couple weeks and now it's fine. But, it was a problem.

If I count both grown sons, this will be 9th of these that I have purchased. Over the years they changed from faux shearling to flannel lined and the flannel doesn't hold up as well but the leather uppers and the soles continue to last and last. And the pricing continues to be stable as well. I only wish the leather laces would stay tied!!! That said, we are on pair #9 and counting!!
