I like them, they do run a bit big, almost all of my shoes, including other LL Bean shoes are 11's, these 11's are a bit big, maybe not quite a 1/2 size but close. My only complaint is the top of the collar is pretty rigid and not broke down yet so it rubs my lower leg a little, they are comfy, would buy again but would love to try on some 10 1/2's.

Very comfortable and stylish boot. Not heavy on the foot. Feels more like a sneaker. I enjoy them very much.

I switched to wedge sole work boots a few months ago my lower back pain went away. I begin looking for a pair of boots for casual wear, these fit the bill. The mock toe provides a roomy toe box, I think the D width is spot on. I will say the top collar and the upper does provide a short amount of break in time. Nice looking super light wedge sole casual boot. I got a great deal on these boots at ll bean, but even at full retail I would still be pleased. I can't give more than 4 stars until I wear them through our winter months.

I love this boot but there's one serious problem. The sole of the boot has little traction to start. And after 12 months of wear, the soles have worn smooth. So don't even think about wearing in slightly slippery conditions. These things turn into ice skates with the slightest of weather.

Totally baffled by all the reviews saying these fit "true to size". I followed the website advice and ordered my standard shoe size. These are from a different planet. Way too big length-wise and the width is large, too. My toes swim around, my heel lifts, and that's without any break-in. Irritating to have to return them and pay return shipping when they are so clearly not as advertised.

I bought a pair of these just over a year ago. Super happy with these boots from day one. Fit was perfect. Very true to size. Only wore these shoes in the fall and winter months. So , bought and received them in October of '23 and wore them thru March of '24. Just started wearing them again in late September. Just a couple days a week. In total , these boots haven't really even been worn much at all. Well, just noticed that the bottom part of the sole is separating from middle (white) part of sole. Very upsetting being that they are a product of LL Bean. Just sent them back for an exchange the LL Bean's expense. Will try another pair because i believe (hope) this was just a manuf. defect.

I own a pair of the Stonington shoes that are still going strong after 2 years so I wanted to get the boots because of the great quality. They felt good when I got them out of the box, however I was slightly disappointed after wearing them for about a week and noticing that they are about a 1/2 -1 bigger in length than my Stonington shoes. So they pretty much fit like a 10 and not a 9.5. Pretty bummed as it is far too late to return them for the next size down. Not the end of the world but I now have to wear super thick socks when I wear my bootsnot ideal in hot summer weather.

I really liked the fit and finish. Was comfortable and required little or no break in. Unfortunately I can't wear them any as I had an allergic reaction resulting in a rash around both ankles.
My rating is low not due the boot specifically but the issue I had with customer service or lack there-of, the automated "chat bot" was useless and the system crashed on me twice.
Thankfully I received an email to review my purchase.

The boot is super comfortable, and looks very good. The only reason it doesn't get full marks is that the sole is starting to come off at the toe and I have only been wearing them a month. Definitely not the quality that I have come to expect and love about llbean over the years.

Leather was treated with saddle soap. After wearing the for work around my place, dirt and water the leather just faded out and got hard. When the arrived the leather was soft. Very comfortable out of the box. Arch support is not as high as I like. The sole is a soft rubber...too soft. Like the mocs Allagash hand sowed Buffalo rubber bottoms they wear out too quickly. I wouldn't recommend anything that says LLBean on the bottom sole. I keep buying them for some reason with the same disappointing outcome. If it doesn't say Vibram it's an inferior sole. 40 yrs of experience buying Bean products.

LlBean just isn't what they used to be; the boots are average; for the price; and they were on sale; they're sized strangely; I ordered 10; they were huge on me; while they're suggestion was to err with a larger size.

I really wanted to love these boots. Excellent quality materials and construction. Great cushioning and comfort. Unfortunately, the heel section was too large for me and I had to return them. This would be a great shoe for most guys.

Returned. Looked and felt like tennis shoes. I thought it was more of a work boot from pictures. Fine for every day wear.

The boot is comfortable right out of the box, and stylish: But the brown perimeter of the sole is not holding up. This is not a work boot and I have worn it for general walking. The brown trim of the sole is wearing down quickly resulting in wear of the foam mid-sole. I don't think this will be replaceable by my local shoe repair shop. The leather upper of the boot looks great however the sole wears out too easily. If LL Bean can find more durable material for the sole I would call this another great Bean product.

Comfortable and well built. Purchased on 3/12/2021. The soles are worn to about 1/4" thick under the ball of the foot and will soon wear through.

Very good looking and comfortable boot. Very disappointed that the sole fell off in the first couple of weeks under normal wear and tear. If the quality of the sole improves this will become my go-to boot, if not, I'll keep shopping around.

Received as a christmas gift last year, while they look great and wear in well, the tread is completely worn out and falling off in places. They're my everyday work boot, so maybe better suited for a more occasional role.

I would have given them five stars but on the second time I wore them, I cut my lawn in them which is about a mile and a half of walking and they gave me blisters on the back of both my heels. I considered returning them but wanted to give them a second chance. It took 10 days for them to heal completely. I cut the grass again and this I tried a product called glide on my heals to prevent blisters, it worked and I am hoping to wear them a bit at a time to break them in. Hope I am not sorry

I'm very disappointed with these boots. My wife bought me these for Christmas and I loved how they looked and fit. After about 4 wears the sole started separating from the boot. I called customer service as well as the store and since we did an in store pickup there is no order history on the website. I did not keep the receipt as I expect LLBean to be very good quality. Long story short I now have a defective boot and am unable to exchange it for a new boot. I would not recommend these boots or doing in store pickup. Very disappointed in what used to be a great company with outstanding customer service.

The quality was fine but the fit didn't work for me. I have narrow feet and when I walked in these my feet slid forward and the heel was loose. It was uncomfortable. I don't know if a break in period would have helped because I sent them back. I probably could have tried a half size smaller, but didn't want to get into shipping back and forth. I could recommend them if the fit was right.

I do not like waterproof leather because of the stiffness. A much better solution to waterproofing a boot is to use a waterproof bootie like Goretex. Then the leather can be lightly waterproofed with a cream or wax.

Style is great. Comfort is great. Tread? The manufacturer should be embarrassed. When I bought them a couple years ago I did see someone point this out but figured it couldn't be that bad. If you look at the tread in the picture provided, the white parts is basically some sort of cheap foam. The tread on the white part wore off within months and created a slippery boot. The light brown part around the edge lasted longer but the top half is nearly gone 2 years in. I wear them in fall, winter, spring. Not working. Just casual. Not heavy use by any means. For the price, I expected more. I wanted to toss them after the white foam rendered them basically useless but it was too much money to not just deal with it. I have now tossed them after almost slipping and falling multiple times this winter.

I've owned these boots for four months now and they are terrible in comparison to other similar moc toe boots I've owned. The sole is separating from the midsole and the cushioning is minimal. I have no clue how there are so many good reviews on this boot other than maybe they were changed from a previous version.
