It took forever to get these. What is up with the backlog?

This is the second pair I have purchased. I wear them for work (outdoor sales, not construction). They are lightweight and once broken in feel like sneakers. They are not rugged work boots. I wish they were more waterproof and the tread on the sole lasted longer, but I will still buy these for their look, comfort, and light weight.

Fit was perfect. Ordering was easy. Shipping was early. Sale price was awesome. Only reason not a 5 is have to see how they hold up to hard use. I fully expect they will. Well made

My new favorite shoes, very comfortable right out of the box. Good water resistance.

Lacing hooks are a little tight. Otherwise, good work boots.

A little pricey, but seems to bring quality along to make up for it.

The boot is totally comfortable but just make sure you wear mid weight socks with them.

I've owned these for about a year now, and they are very comfortable and look good. However, I would say they are more of a "fashion" boot than anything else. Which is fine, if that's what you want. But there are far more durable work boots out there for about the same price (e.g. Red Wing), and far better/ more technical hiking boots (Salomon, Merrell). My Two cents!

Great boots! My husband loves them. Super comfortable, nice quality and I think great style. We live in WI so it's cold and they keep his feet warm when we are out doing errands, etc.

A little more narrow than I would have thought, but comfy. The leather did stain my sock/leg a bit on the first wear.

Tried these boots on in the store and found they were very comfortable right out of the box. I needed something that i could work in while in the garden and shoveling snow, and these will fit the bill.
The only down side that I see is that I will want to waterproof them heavily before winter time.

The size was perfect for me and they are very comfortable. Most days, I wear them between 9-11 hours while climbing in and out of equipment. I never go home with tired feet.

As someone who has worn Irish Setter and Red Wing boots for 20+ years I've recently noted a drop in their quality and a need for a better boot. LL Bean is the company I landed on after reading a lot of online info about their boots, their customer service and their warranties. The boots are very comfortable, true to size and look beautiful (not that it matters, since I work in the trades and they're covered in dirt.) The boots relaxed or "broke in" nicely after a short time to really contour to my feet.
These boots are not waterproof out of the box, but with some leather treatment they repel water from the seams well. The tread on the bottom is ample enough to prevent slipping on wet grass but also minimal enough to not track everything around and are easy to wipe off when muddy.
Overall these boots fit everything I want from them and I will be buying a second pair shortly.

Initially bought a pair for my 12 yr. old son, who has feet & leg issues, esp. w/boots. He absolutely loves these things, so I bought a pair! So far so good, though I haven't worn them a whole lot just yet. The sale price was nice too

I bought these as a frequent-wear boot for spring, autumn, and winter excluding any significant use in the snow. They broke in quickly and were very comfortable even from the start. They have a sneaker-like weight and flexibility, which makes them very adaptable to many use cases, and keeps them comfortable for all-day wearing, no problem. After 15 months of ownership (about 9 months of frequent use) the uppers have held up well, have a nice patina, and take to cleaning and re-waxing very well.
The one minor complaint I have had all along is that the laces are stiff and slick (a byproduct of being incredibly durable), which makes them come untied very easily and often - these are a double-knot-required lace for sure.
The one significant complaint I have is that after 9 months of frequent use around town and outdoors (no serious hiking or hard work), the soles are really worn down. They weren't super grippy to begin with as they are a very supple foam-rubber, which is part of what makes these boots feel very sneaker-like, but it's also what makes them wear down too quickly. After 9 months, these boots are very unstable in light snow and especially on loose/muddy spring ground because the primary weight-bearing and push-off patch of sole under the balls of my feet is pretty much bald. I expect the soles to hold up better on a boot in this price range, especially when the uppers are still mint.

Love the look which drew me to the boot. The leather is stiff and the toe box is on the narrow side. I tried a half size up and the boot was too big. I have been wearing them exclusively to break them in quick. The boot is warm and keeps my feet dry.

I LOVED these boots. LL BEAN THIS COMMENT IS FOR YOU: I need Wide (EE.) Would you please consider making the Stonington Boots for men in your wide (EE) size? These boots were incredibly comfortable. Much sturdier than I imagined from the photo. I would live in these boots if they were just a tad wider. Thank you for listening.

BOUGHT THIS BOOT AS A XMAS GIFT FOR MY BF. ORDERED A 1/2 SIZE UP BECAUSE I FIGURED HE'D WEAR A THICKER SOCK. IT WAS WAAAAY TO BIG. WE WENT BACK TO LL BEAN 3 TIMES (!!!!!!!!) EXCHANGED IT FOR A 10 (HIS TRUE SIZE), THEN 9.5, AND FINALLY A 9. THE 9 FIT PERFECTLY, SO DEFINITELY ORDER 1 SIZE OR 1/2 SIZE SMALLER THAN YOUR TRUE SIZE. NOW THAT THE SAGA IS OVER, IT'S A GREAT EVERYDAY BOOT!

Look good for work or casual wear, for shoveling snow or attending a meeting. Like some others said, they hurt my ankles the first ten times I wore them, I do not blame the boots, I have experienced this with other mid-high boots.

Tried to hike on a rough, steep trail, lots of fallen leaves. Didn't work.
Too heavy and clumsy. I'll stick with original purchase purpose, which as snow work boots.

This has been a great work boot, I wear these just about every day. They look sharp so the perfect boot if your like me - wearing a golf shirt and jeans to work but may need to lend the fellas out back a hand it's perfect. Reason for the 1 star knock - I recently tried to climb a steep hill and really stiff in the back of the boot for any type of climbing.....so purely a work boot that looks great. I love them.

These were a gift for a family member. He told me the fit was good, but the leather was stiff and would need some breaking-in before being totally comfortable. This is reasonable and expected.
The styling is current and the soles are not too chunky. Perhaps a similar product with a non-slip sole would be another item for your line-up.

The ash gray color is what attracted me to this boot. The boots look great in real life. Comfortable out of the box and felt fully broke-in by the end of the first week. Something that wasn't disclosed (or if it was, I missed it) is the particular method of tanning used on the leather leaves the boots with abrasions and small number of discolorations (blemishes). When I pulled them from the box I immediately concluded the shoes had been used. The seller included a card that claimed these marks are the result of tanning. I thought it over and decided to keep the boots. The markings are not pronounced and I doubt anyone would notice from a distance. And, now that I've worn them around, they look about what one would expect. I'm glad I bought the boots.
