We have a few of the "blue box" coolers that I'm okay with but my wife likes something a little more stylish. We also have a bunch of the Bean Tote bags that we love. This bag is fan-tastic. It keeps stuff incredibly cold and looks good. The large is a perfect size for our family of four (two girls) and can pack a lunch and more. Has held up great after a year and no puncturing of the interior (which would cause the cool feature to lose effect) so really durable. It can fit lots of stuff and mini-blue freeze packs as well. Highly recommended!

I received this bag for Christmas last year. I liked it so much, and it was so useful that I decided to give it out as a gift this year. It works great as a cooler and also as a bag to carry items in. It's well made and very durable, like all l.l.Bean products. I have used this bag for a year now and can't say enough good things about it.

Sometimes I have to drive 3-4 hours to account so I bought these tote bags for our popsicles business. In the middle of summer with 90 degrees weather standing outside, showing customers our popsicles they never melted! The tote bags are very well made and they're made to last.

I take it groceries shopping with my freezable containers and my food stays frozen until I get home. I live in Florida so I cannot go to the beach without my insulated tote. Of course when I go out on my boat my tote comes with me with lunch and drinks.

I used this on a 10 hour car trip with ice cubes. Not only did my food stay cold, but it did not leak as the ice melted. I look forward to using this for groceries and the beach next summer. Highly recommended!

Have used it many times - wife loves it. I always order larger bags because you could always use more room, right? The large in blue is fantastic. For a family of four it holds and keeps cold many beverages, snacks and lunches with just a few cold ice packs. Have had it for about 1 month and it's perfect for the beach. Highly recommended.

I am very good at remembering to bring in my reusable shopping bags when they are this awesome! I can fit an entire week's worth of groceries for myself in this bag, it fits SO MUCH stuff! I use this every time I grocery shop which saves the environment and makes me excited to shop. Love it!

This tote is great as it is insulated. I use it as a carry on and pack bathing suits, change of clothes etc for my destination and have an insulated bag to use as a beach bag to pack lunch and cold drinks while away. It is a great size and very fashionable.

This insulated tote is great for bringing home groceries in warm weather -- keeps cold things good and cold for a couple hours -- and also for bringing home take-out food (we live half an hour from the nearest town). It's solidly made, thickly insulated yet roomy -- one of my better purchases!

Purchased this tote specifically for tailgating, couldn't have picked a better tote. Fits everything I need to take to the big games, with room to spare. Tote is very sturdy, looking forward to taking it to the beach. Monogrammed my tote and the lettering was a nice touch.

Ordered the large navy/white tote. Have received tons of compliments. Love the sturdy shoulder strap, room for lots of food, looks stylish and elegant. Ordered one for my mother and my sister. Great gift too.

I was impressed when I received the insulated tote, it's quite large and the workmanship is second to none. This tote will come in handy for food shopping during the summer, we won't have to worry about our frozen food thawing out before we get it to camp. It was a very good purchase and I expect it will last a long time.

Looks so durable but haven't had a chance to use it yet. They only had the light color so not sure how dirty it will get.

Great bag - plenty of room, keeps things cold, just came in darker colors so dirt wouldn't show. Inside and outside pouches would be nice too.

I love this bag. The size is perfect and it looks attractive...not your "uncle's" boat bag! However, the initials on my bag are incorrect...don't know if that was my fault or Bean's. What do I do to fix that. I'm a good seamstress, but the initials are sewn so tightly that my little "ripper" isn't able to remove them! I'll keep trying, I guess. Maybe an exact knife VERY CAREFULLY?

Bought as a gift for someone and all positive comments from them on its handiness. Big enough to serve as an overnight bag, beach tote or food cooler. Not the most compact bag in the world because of the insulating material, so don't expect to fold it into another carryall or backpack. A duffle may work, though.

The inside is not waterproof. The first time using it the bottom leaked from ice melting. This was disappointing from such a quality brand, I expected better. Other than that pretty study construction and over all nice bag. Use ice packs if you plan to buy this for drinks!

Heavy duty canvas like material with carry handles and a well made adjustable shoulder strap mounted on swivels. What is nice about this bag is that it is genuinely three dimensional and generously sized so it can hold a number of items upright on the bottom and stand up in a car or on the floor. The top and sides are well insulated and the entire inside of the bag is waterproof. I had a bag of ice inside it and the bag was ripped, the carrier did not leak even though it was filled with water when the ice finally melted. When you close the zipper, take care to smooth the insulated liner next to the zipper so that the plastic liner does not get stuck in the teeth. This happened once and it was somewhat difficult to dislodge, though no damage was done and the zipper is well made.

Sounds great but not Bean quality. Imported from somewhere Their regular boat bags are USA made and last forever

This bag is a great size, made exceptionally well but doesn't keep things cold long enough. It would work well for a grocery store trip or picnic but not for more than a few hours

Very nice bag but is just OK maintaining ice

Unfortunately, this cooler, which I bought in April 2021 now leaks a lot from the bottom and is useless. I thought it would last longer than 2 years. Very disappointing product. Will not buy again, and I don't recommend it.

Extremely happy with the bag except after one outing it completely faded in the sun. It still works as intended but very dissapiinted at how quickly it went from new to used. I bought it for use on a boat and expected the sane quality as my other totes.
