The shoes are great. Good cushioning. Good breathability. Wide toe box. Really great for walking, that is what I use them for. But.... look at the pictures. The wear and tear after 300 km. and after 500 km. This is the third pair of Topos with this problem. And I use them only for walking, and never on difficult trails with stones or whatever, only on dirt tracks and asphalt. My next pair will not be Topos, until this issue is solved. Really a pity because the are so confortable !

I decided to give Topo a try after the other 0-drop shoe brand redesigned my favorite shoe and made it unwearable. I wish I hadn't waited so long. I cant remember ever having such a comfortable 1st run in new shoes. The toe box is roomy and the cushions is not too much or too little. I love them. My only complaint is why cant Topo give the shoe a full rubber sole like all the mainstream brands my wife uses. I can already see the mid-sole foam being worn.

So, I just got these this past week and I've got one 10 mile run and a couple of half marathons done in them. I like them. Not a lot of road feel but a very soft ride. I prefer something a little more minimalist but these are great shoes. They're so much lighter than my last pair from a different brand (who cares which one). This pair really makes me want to try Topo's ST-4. I love the color selection and I found it hard to pick one, I wanted all of them. (If only.) I was worried that the outsole would peel off but after really putting these through their paces the first couple of runs, I think they'll do just fine. However, these are certainly NOT rain shoes. They feel like running on slime when they're wet of the pavement but, they dry quickly. They're very well vented and my socks dried quickly too. These certainly aren't off-road either, BUT they do make it feel so soft and smooth. I can hardly tell the difference between hard dirt and asphalt in these. Great ride.

Perfect fitting shoe. Wrap-around feel in the heel and midsole combined with a roomy toe box and great cushioning are the top three shoe requirements I have been looking for. I never thought I would find all three in one shoe. I power walk 12 miles a day, 6 or 7 days a week and the Phantom 2 make it fun everyday. Thank you Topo!

Today is day one! Coming from the ultraventure, and mtn racers. Tried on like 40 pairs of shoes at local stores with no luck. Was looking for a bit more cushion for road running, tried several hokas and new balance, and everything else. I really hope more stores start carrying Topos on the shelves, I don't like to order blind because I have the worst time finding the perfect fit. So far these are soooooo nice!! Love the feeling of the heel collar, it so soft! Just the cushion I was hoping for! Gonna take them on their first run shortly and see how it goes, small chance I might have to come down a half size but we'll give these a shot.

It has taken me a long time to finally find a shoe that fits my toes but isn't a wide. These shoes are roomy and very comfortable. I love the max cushion. #sweepstakes

I walk 8 miles a day at work and my feet are not sore at night. Roomy toe box keeps me comfortable and the heel is perfectly snug and secure. I have tried a new Balance and Hoka and these are a step above. Literally.

Phantom 2's are great shoes for every day shoes and running. I wear these on long days at Disney too! I have several Topo models from Trail to Road and from minimalist to high stack high. For years I had traditional running shoes with high heel toe drop and developed plantar fasciitis, a friend recommended Topo shoes to me about 6 years ago, now my whole family wears them. Not sure what I would change about them but each newer version I try is better than the last so what they are doing is great! I am in my mid 50's.

I'm an amateur endurance athlete. My chiropractor/ART Dr recommended these along with Spectors. I use them for training every week. Comfortable right out of the box

I use my Phantom 2's as a road training compliment to my Mountain Racers. They are a bit heavier, but definitely built for extended hours and miles. It's been an ideal pairing so far. #sweepstakes

I use them at work and in the gym. This is the first pair of sneakers I've worn that don't restrict my toes.

Well made and very comfortable

I use these sneakers for everything. I work in them because they are extremely comfortable. I go right to the gym and do my workouts in them because they are extremely durable. I kick a heavy bag with them on and they are still in excellent shape, something my other sneakers could not do for 6 months. I've had these for over a year and they are still in good shape.

Daily walkers around my neighborhood and as gym shoes. I've tried Altras in the past and they work, but Topos have always felt just a little more comfy. The Phantom 2's have a balance sole and I prefer a more responsive sole but these do the trick for what I need them for. Thanks for making a great product.

I'm training for another Marathon at the age of 66. Great cushions for those long runs.

I use others for the hiking trail, and these are for general walking. The cushioning is perfect and they fit my foot very well..

I run trails mostly so I wear topo trail shoes like ultraventure. This Phantom is my daily all day shoe. Some short 30 min runs but mostly for work on my feet most of the day. By far the best fitting all day comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They succeed where Altra fails. Offering a 5 mm drop shoe with perfect toe box room and exceptional waist and heel fit. Also, way more durable than Altra. I can't say enough good things about this Phantom 2. I work in run specialty retail and our stores don't even offer Topo shoes (yet) but that's all I wear going out of my way to buy them direct from Topo Athletic. No other brand offers this type of shoe. Please continue to offer the roomy toe box of the Phantom 2 with the perfect waist and heel fit. You've nailed it with this shoe creation.
