I've had the Aravon Dolly style since November 2019. I wore them almost daily November and December and then I retired so I don't wear them as much now. Out of the box the foot-bed/insert was to high and I couldn't fasten the strap. I wear an 11 narrow. It did feel comfortable but the strap obviously wasn't long enough. I took the insert out and put my orthotics in and was able to fasten the strap - sorta- it's at the minimum to hold it on my foot. Since wearing them I have noticed that the area around the top of the shoe where it is stitched has started to wear off. I've had this style before and it didn't show this deterioration until a couple of years of wear and these are only 6 months wear - with the last 4 not daily. The quality is not there with the Aravon shoes that was previously. I've kept them because I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit.

I was hoping these would be the perfect shoes.....except for the price. But the strap across the top of my foot was inches too big....went well past the velcro when strap attached. Will be sending them back. BUT Zappos is the best with their return policy. I will continue to do my shopping here.

Shoe is bulky & thick. I have narrow feet, very high arches & bulky orthotics. With orthotics in, I could still put my fingers between the top of my toes & the shoe. I purchased Rockport, Cobb Hill, Petra which is a similar style but is a better fit & has a sleeker appearance.

I was hopeful with these. They were cute in the photo, but ended up ugly and clunky. The leather is VERY stiff, they hurt do walk in. The 10 was way too wide, the 9.5 was too short in the toe & so stiff they hurt my toes. They were returned.

In terms of size, the shoe felt true to size which I appreciated. However, it really did not have the arch support I was looking for and there is a little "v" on the toe and it actually made the shoe uncomfortable because even though it wasn't tight the "v" kept poking my foot. I decided relatively quickly to return the shoes which was unfortunate. So, I continue on my search for the perfect shoes that are just the right size with the arch support needed and a style that works in an professional environment that are not stilettos.

I am so disappointed in this shoe. I bought one pair and within 2 months the trim was fraying and the shoe was not holding up. I didn't return that pair figuring it was a fluke. Because the arch support is very good, I bought a 2nd pair and have to return them for the exact same reason. These are expensive shoes but the quality in the trim, falling apart, twice has left me to believe I won't be buying anymore from Aravon. Disappointing.
I'd also recommend:
Klogs, Vionic (also cheaply made), hard to find good support at any cost it seems.

This shoe looked good online, but when I saw it in person, it's not as nice looking.

I wear orthotics. I must take the inner sole out to use them. When I did that the shoe was too deep. The right shoe strap didn't lie flat in the middle where it bends and looked funny.

I am ordering my third pair of these. I work in the office of a very large manufacturing facility. These shoes take me from the carpeted office to the concrete production floor in comfort. I do switch them off with other Aravon shoes. This is my favorite style though. I put a lot of miles on my shoes. These get me through about a year of heavy walking. I also wear them every where else. I wear a 7EE and have a high arch along with occasional swelling of my feet. These are still comfortable even then.

NOT orthotic compatible! I assumed that since the insert is removable these would work for my orthotics, but no, the insert it comes with is highly cushioned in the heel, and thinner in the forefoot, so there's way too much depth when you remove the insert, and the depth from heel to toe is off and weird. I also need to have a moderate heel on my shoes, and the "heel" on these is all in the insert, so when you remove the insert it comes with, it drops your heel way down. So it made my heel sit too low. Plus they are quite unattractive. Perhaps they would be cuter in the black--the stone color makes it look like a dumpy "old-lady shoe." I don't know what happened with Aravon; they used to have so much more to choose from and much cuter styles than they have now.
