I bought a pair of the Aravon shoes about 10 years ago and they have held up extremely well and also have very good support. I had to replace the pair only because of a fall I took several weeks ago and ripped off part of the shoe. The new pair was comfortable the minute I put it on!

Cute shoe and comfortable on until I tightened the strap to hold my foot in place from sliding forward. I ordered an 11w because I need the toe room. The heel was very comfortable. When tightening the strap the end hit the floor and on top the finish was an unfinished leather that was obviously distracting. Bummer! They have to go back.

Aravon is a great brand. A division of New Balance and built with comfort and quality, designed for the use of a custom orthotic, and yet stylish to boot. You can't go wrong, but remember, these are Imported so they run small. Buy the next size up for the best fit. You'll love them.

I have super-high arches and wear Dansko style clogs in winter. These shoes are super-light and give a surprising amount of support. I wear them with a Dr. Scholls arch support insole rather than my orthopedic inserts because the shoes are a bit light on cushioning. Still -- I can wear these all day without being in pain (no small triumph for me) and after a summer of wear they haven't become too scuffed up either. They might last into next summer.

I suddenly found myself with a pair of orthotics and no shoes to fit them. These shoes were really pricey for me, but worth every penny. The orthotics fit well in them, and I wear them to work nearly every day. Am saving for another pair!

I bought these shoes before going to Europe where I knew we would be doing a lot of walking. They fit wonderfully on my wide feet and felt very sturdy and comfortable. I wore them with jeans for kicking around the city, and then with tights and a skirt for going out to dinner. I was happy with both looks. I'm very satisfied with these shoes and would buy them again for sure.

I needed a good, supportive walking shoe for my winter trip to NYC and my old shoes were just a bit too beat up. This was the 8th pair of shoes that I ordered and the only one that didn't get returned. Every time I called them my "granny shoes" everyone said "No! They look great." They were comfortable right out of the box, great walking shoes - fabulous for traveling. Because it has a strap, I could get away with very thin socks or wearing nylons and I didn't have a problem with them rubbing. I can't imagine having done that trip with any of the other shoes I had tried on.

These are nice, well made shoes and have a spacious toebox, which I need, but the Mary Jane strap doesn't work for me because I have arthritis and very high arches. They're also a little bulkier looking than what I need now.

This is the second pair of Aravon's I have purchased. I'm thoroughly impressed. They have a wide toe area, no scrunching here. They provide great support. They are true to size and width. I will definitely be ordering more in the future.

VERY comfy. Looks matronly, though. I really really really need a comfy shoe - but can't decide whether to keep these or not. Kinda' clompy.

These shoes were cute and comfortable. I have wide feet and they fit well. However, they have not held up well. After one season of wearing them regularly, the edges of the leather are fraying and look worn. For the price, it's disappointing that they didn't last longer.

I LOVED THE DRESSY LOOK of these shoes. I tried 3 sizes but because my feet are so sensitive and not average shape, none of them felt comfortable. I am 80 years old and most shoes hurt my feet. An average person probably would love them and they would fit them well.

Good looking shoes. Surprisingly flexible too. Unfortunately, I’m not able to keep them because the toebox is too narrow for me.

I have a bunion on one foot, plantar fasciitis and very narrow heels, so it's difficult to find a shoe that meets all these needs (bless you, Zappos, for your patience). This shoe worked for me. It has a roomy toe box, a soft, smooth lining and lots of padding beneath my feet. The strap keeps my heels from slipping, but even without it, the heel feels narrower than many brands I've tried. I bought it in brown because it was on sale. I'll probably spring for a black pair as well now that I know the shoe has stayed comfortable even when I walk for an extended period of time. While not high fashion, I think the styling is pretty good considering the support and comfort you're getting.

This is a nice shoe, but even at a WW, they were still too narrow and pinched at the top part. The sole is a bit thick , so it takes away from the shoe looking dressy. The strap is nice and sturdy and wraps around a bar before it is secured with the Velcro. I tried another brand with similar styling that I liked better, but I'm gonna keep shopping until I find the perfect pair.

The shoe was comfortable except my toes could feel the toe of the shoe. I wear a 9.5 AA so I ordered a 10 but there is nothing narrower than a AA so we shall see if the longer ones will fit in width. I am very happy dealing with Zappos. They truly put the customer first.

Beautiful shoe but sizing is completely different than it was a couple of years ago. I know feet get larger as we age but these shoes feel way too small. I wear these in the operating room at work and if I can find the right size then I will continue to wear. They are comfy, solid, and after 2 years if wear still look great.

These run big sent back for a 1/2 size smaller

Very Comfortable! I usually wear a 6 1/2 EEE, but usually have to buy a 7 in order for a EE to fit. But because the EE width works for me with this shoe, it was too long. This style is a little "Old ladyish" for me too.

I'm on my feet all day at work and have struggled to find shoes for my flat, size-12, plantar fascitis-y feet. I will search no more! These have great support, fit perfectly with no rubbing, and have plenty of room in the toe box for me to wiggle. Not the prettiest shoes, but, appropriate for clinic and go with everything.

The straps on this felt very stiff and there wasn't enough arch support for my foot.
