I'd been putting off trying these shoes for years, due to the cost. I reached a point where I needed something dressier than sneakers to wear with pantsuits for work and for special occasions. As I wear New Balance sneakers 99% of the time, I gave these a shot at last. What was I waiting for? They fit perfectly, and are so comfortable! And the sizing is perfectly consistent with the New Balance sneaker sizing!

Great shoes. Just bought my second pair because I wore the first so much I wore them out in three years.

Exactly what I was looking for! I needed a pair of orthotic friendly shoes for everyday work. My job requires a lot of walking and long hours, but I need to look professional as well. I have narrow feet and the right is hard to find. I generally do well with Aravon. This shoe has a removable insole but my custom insert are only three quarter size. I put a thin foam base in to smooth out the feeling at the toe. Only suggestion for improvement would be to provide a simple smooth liner under the insole. For as utilitarian as these are for me, they still look cute and sleek.

I love these shoes and could no longer get them at the store where I bought them. I am so happy to find them here. They are always comfortable, lightweight, simple, and can be worn with casual or dress pants unlike sports shoes.

I absolutely love these shoes! The support is great, looks expensive but they do not come in brown or navy! I would buy those colors in a minute. My feet have never been happier!

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have even owned! I have a bad back, wide feet and a high instep - I have worn clogs which are comfortable but they dig into my instep. These shoes are so comfortable I have no problem wearing them all day. I highly recommend them.

Following foot surgery I needed a dress shoe with a large toe box, and the Aravon Farren was the answer. I was especially pleased with Zappos response when I called to say I ordered the wrong width. "No problem!" They e-mailed a free shipping return label, and shipped the new pair to arrive the next day. Now that's customer service.

Just love these shoes. They are so comfortable and are much more attractive in person. I have really wide feet and have a hard time finding anything with good support and flexibility.. This shoe really fits the bill and it is also really light weight. I could not be any happier.

I was looking for a good walking shoe that also looked nice with dressier pants. This black suede tie shoe is it! It has a wide toe box which I need, a comfortable and supportive insole, and looks sharp with sporty clothes. It looks like an oxford but it is made by New Balance so feels like a sneaker. I water-proofed the shoes before a trip to Europe and they (and my feet) performed wonderfully.

I really like these shoes. I have a hard to fit foot. They are very comfortable & look nice with a dress pant.

I am on a constant quest for the perfect shoe for ever-changing foot needs. After trying several brands of walking shoes, the Aravon Farrens arrived. I put them on and immediately sighed with relief. They are study yet supple, have solid arch support for my high arches, but a comfortable (and wide, I ordered the wide width) foot bed for my tender soles. They fit well with a crew sock too. And for a black walking shoe, they aren't even ugly! I'm going to see if I can get them waterproofed before an October trip in Europe.

I have been looking for a pair of really comfortable walking shoes for an upcoming trip. I have bought and returned several pairs that just haven't been right. Then I found these shoes...they are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I've ever had on my problem feet.. And in the black nubuck suede they're actually quite attractive.

These are so incredibly comfortable, even from day one. The narrows are the perfect width. My orthotics fit easily. The bottom of the sole seemed a little slick at first, but roughed up within a day. I was hesitant about the pinholes but they aren't really noticeable at all.

These are incredibly comfortable walking shoes. When you are going to do a lot of walking on pavement you will see what a great comfor shoe this is. The are very plain but for day they are fine with dark jeans or slacks.

Pretty great! I have wide feet and have had several surgeries, and I usually spend a lot more for shoes. These are sturdy and comfy. Best for cooler weather. I got the suede, and highly recommend.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I have to wear them while a fractured bone in my foot heals. They look good and give great support. When I wear them, I forget I am standing on concrete for hours.

When I first saw these shoes in the box my first thought was back they go. I should add that I wear a 10W and do not like shoes that make my feet look big. My toes are often so pushed together that it really hurts! These shoes had a very wide and open toe bed. That was what I did not like until I put them on and walked around my living room. Oh my! I got a big smile on my face because I was not in pain. That is sort of the point isn't it? But how we ladies will suffer to look good. Well the end of this story is I am going to turn 66 years of age next month and I have decided that I should smile when I walk around. Will be wearing them to a part time job and I am on my feet and walking all evening. And smiling all evening long. Even my back feels better. I absolutely love these shoes. You will too. Be good to yourself and get a pair. You will not be sorry.

I have only worn these shoes a few times. They are very comfortable and a great change from wearing sneaks. They are a little dressier and just as comfortable. I have a wide foot and the fit is perfect.

They're definitely nice-looking, well-made shoes, but I usually wear an 8.5 and I couldn't even get these on my feet. Previous reviews didn't say they ran narrow, but they sure didn't fit me.

I have an old pair of these shoes that have proven to be very comfortable for my difficult feet. I wasn't able to find them last year and was excited to be able to get them now. Surprisingly enough, they hurt one of my feet in one spot; so they will need to be broken in. I am so happy that I found Zappos though. They are a pleasure to deal with.

The shoes are classic looking and apppear well made. They have a comfortable interior sole. They have the feel of supinating the feet (especially the right shoe). I haven't worn them for more that an hour or two, so can't tell how an all-day wear will impact the leg joints and comfort factor.

These shoes are very comfortable. I have heel spurs and problems with my tendons and these work with all my feet problems. They run very small. I normally wear a 7.5 and in these I needed an 8.5.

I was looking for a size 12 comfortable, sensible, stable shoe that could "hide" under my jeans or black slacks. This is it!

I love th elook of the shoes, having a wide flat foot with a high arch, they appeared to be a great buy. After receiving the shoes I find they are a tad too small hoping that with natural stretching that they will feel just right.

Very comfortable and fit perfectly! I have a narrow foot but need space in the front. They even look nice with my slacks, which was a major concern when ordering. This is my first time with this brand. I will wear these shoes a lot when traveling.
