Soles are not flexible at all. Using it last weekend for a short hiking trip and not comfortable at all.

I've been a Rockport user for 25 years now and this is possibly the one that had no ankler support. I wanted to like this pair but there is little ankle support. I do a lot of walking as most of its users are and I had to return (1st time for everything).

I returned my order after trying on the shoes. They were not what I had expected, they were very stiff, heavy in weight and uncomfortable.

Nice design but badly engineered lacing system. The laces are too big for the lugs. Or the lugs are too small for the laces. Ether way the shoe is too difficult to lace tightly. Would not buy again.

It fit ok..... but the interior fabric bothered my skin. It felt like it was chaffing the sides of my feet.

Sizing off on this shoe compared to other Rockport shoes that I have now. Even with a heavy sock there is so much play in the shoe that it's not comfortable to wear.

The heal slipped and the shoe itself was stiffer and heavier than expected. It looked good but I returned it over the fit issues.

Because of the way the laces are configured, it is not possible to sufficiently tighten them, which causes the heel to slip.

Nice looking shoe but the heel fit was poor and the lacing system was funky. I returned them.

I have to be honest. This is the least comfortable shoe I have put on my foot in maybe 20 years. It felt like I was walking on marble. Absolutely no cushion. The tie box was extremely narrow. Very disappointing.

I was unable to pull the shoestrings tight. I suspect the stationery design of the shoestring eyes caused the issue. After pulling the strings as tight as I could I could run my forefinger between the shoe tongue and my instep without contact with either surface. Of course, the shoe slipped on my foot with each step.

Darn, what a great looking shoe, what a great sole, what a nice design except for two things that made me return them after wearing them around the house for three days (never outside so they still were in new condition). #1. I've never seen eyelets like these on any shoe or boot. I've returned them already and so don't have them to take a picture for you, but the shoe laces stick in them. The great thing is they don't loosen up once you tighten them up the way you want. The BAD thing is that it is SO HARD to pull the laces through the eyelets to get the shoe appropriately tight. The three times I put these on to wear, it easily took five minutes of teasing the laces and pulling and re-pulling them to get them to cinch up as I needed. Good grief. I was not going to have a pair of great shoes that took so much work to put on. I can't imagine this is a construction that is ever going to appear on another shoe. #2. The heal cup is too loose. I currently own 5 other pair of Rockport shoes. I wear size 15 (yes, huge), and Rockport is one company that consistently has quality shoes that fit my feet so well and are more comfortable than most. BUT, this is the first where I cannot get the shoe to get tight enough so that my heel finally snugs into the heal cup. So, why have a pair of trail shoes where the heel slides up and down with every step? No way. So I returned these with great disappointment, because I so wanted them to fit! So now I'm going back to Asics trail shoes: consistently fit my big feet wonderfully.

Returned. Wanted to like these, but they turned out to be the first of many pairs of Rockports that I did not find comfortable. Very rugged construction, but not quite comfortable.

After 4 weeks of dog walking on paved trails combined with 3-4" wet grass, waterproofing has failed resulting in wet feet, very disappointing.
