Apparently my feet think they are special. They are highly sensitive to boot environments and rapidly develop blisters and other issues. They like to be free, but I like boots and have a nice stock of them in my closet. A friend bought a pair of Nisolos and I was intrigued. I was afraid they would be a no-go for my feet but I had to try them despite the price. After a trial run around the house for the first day, my feet and I agreed - Nisolos are the best thing ever! I bought my pair a 1/2 size bigger to account for my thicker Stance socks that has been lifesaving for my feet in other shoes. I cannot express how comfortable my feet are in these shoes. I wear them a lot. Walking the dog, walking in Downtown Portland, all the places. I now plan my outfits around these boots and am eyeing other shoes. The suede holds up well in weather (and PNW gets weather). These are pretty much the perfect boot. I look forward to many years of wearing these lovely boots.

Bought these in an 11 the day they dropped and I love them. My foot is long and narrow and they fit perfectly. Lace up boots sometimes make me look like I have clown feet but the Amalia is very flattering. I've worn them in mountain winter rain and snow and they have held up very well. I expect to be wearing these regularly for many years to come. Would love to see more women's size 11 offerings from Nisolo.

Right out of the box I was impressed with the look and quality of these boots. Given the thickness of the leather I knew I was in for a longer break in experience, which turned out to be the case. Now that Ive gotten to the other side these are the most comfortable shoes I own. For me they were tight initially but after breaking them in while wearing thick socks, they are true to size. I was also worried that they might look too big or too masculine but I was pleasantly surprised on both fronts. I would recommend these to anyone. Looking forward to years of wear.

When I first saw these boots they were made for men only. I asked it you might consider making them for women and you did. I'm sure I wasn't the only one making such a request. The boots looked and felt great straight out of the box. They are a main stay in my wardrobe and worth the price because they will last a long time. Thank you for listening! I have five pairs of your shoes and other boots and have not ever been disappointed. I don't wear any other brand of shoes now.

These babies fit perfectly from the very first wear, and breaking them in wasn't difficult at all. If you wear slightly thicker boot socks, you won't get blisters. I walk around my city often, and these boots are comfortable and stylish. I got 3 compliments in the span of an hour on them! Love that Nisolo is such an ethical brand and I rave about them to people all the time. Thanks Nisolo!

These are so comfortable and different from any other boots I have. They look dark brown indoors but olive in sunlight. Theyre casual but very versatile.

Superb quality. I know theyll last me. Stylish yet solid and sturdy. I didnt have the break in as much as other reviewers. My feet are narrow so it wasnt an issue at the foot for me. The top needed a couple wears. It was stiff on my shin at first but fine after a few wears. Would recommend.

These boots are amazing. I got them as a christmas present and I wore them on several super rainy days while visiting DC right after I got them and they kept my feet completely dry. There is a breaking in period but that's pretty standard for leather boots. I get compliments on them where ever I go.

I almost didnt buy these because of other reviews mentioning they were uncomfortable for people with high insteps. Thanks to these reviews I sized up half a size. After a few wears to break them in, they are very comfortable and I happily wear them several times a week with zero discomfort. Theyre great boots and I love them!

I have never left a product review before, but these boots are so good I had to. Theyre incredibly well made, super comfortable (had no trouble breaking them in), can be styled a million different ways, and seem to do well in weather. I sized up a half size and would recommend doing so unless you prefer very thin socks. Ive worn these nearly every day since I bought them and get constant compliments. In fact, my husband was so jealous that the mens version was top of his Christmas list. If youre remotely considering buying these, just do it. Worth every penny.

I love these boots! They are so cute and comfortable. I wore them out of the box for several hours and had no issues with needing to break them in. They fit true to size.

Trotted around town and country

These are perfect for the weather in Chicago. I wanted a fashionable commuter boot that didnt have a long break-in period that could handle Chicagos temperamental weather. These hit the mark. 3rd paid of Nisolo boots and couldnt be happier. Love that they are ethically made. Next purchase will be their boot cleaning kit as I now have all different types of materials to clean :)

I'm still working to break in my Nisolos--I've been wearing for longer and longer stretches over the past few weeks. They are amazing! Living in the northwest I can vouch for their water-proof-ness. :)

Got these boots for a trip to Paris and walked 10 miles each day in them. They were the only shoes I brought (risky move!) and thankfully, they felt super comfortable the whole time! They looked cute with a variety of outfits and were totally durable in wet and cold weather conditions.

I cant express how much I love these boots. I typically would have chosen these in brandy, but decided to go for something different and bought the olive instead. Im so happy I did! The color is rich and gorgeous and the boots are so soft with absolutely no break in period. Ive worn them in the rain with no issues and get compliments every time I wear them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Highly recommend these beauties! They are true work horses. I have an average width foot and took my regular size 8; (For comparison, I'm an 8 in Mariella mules and 8.5 in James Oxford). They were perfect in length and width with the thin wool socks I wear; the only break in was some rubbing above my heel where the cut of the boot curves in. Broke in after first few wears. I live in New England and have worn these in all the elements and they are surprisingly warm, dry and still look beautiful and magically have no salt stains!

After buying some Nisolos last year that still haven't broken in, I was nervous to try another pair -- but am glad I did! These boots are beautiful and a half size up is the perfect fit for me. The insole is much thicker and supportive than I imagined it would be and works well for my lower arches. I would recommend wearing thicker socks when you break them in as they did irritate my ankles and heels at first. I also have noticed that the front section is really low and presses into the top of my foot. However, these are a great boot overall and I think they'll get even better as they break in.

Confortable, functional, and pretty. Ive even had guys come up to me asking where I got my boots! Ill be wearing these all winter for sure.

Winter seemed to hit early this year and I've found myself wearing this boot everyday with every outfit. Jeans and dresses. They take a little bit to break in, but then they are comfortable. When I first put them on I thought for sure I was going to have to return them and my feet were in pain within a half hour. But I wore them around the house 3-4 more times and that was enough to make them mold to my feet and now I wear them all day/everyday.

I've been hunting for a pair of lace up boots just like thisbut most are clunky, and not quite as refined. These are absolutely gorgeous. I wound up purchasing the Brandy and Brown to see both colorways in person, but the Brandy won flat out with its rich red undertones. They almost look too nice to be all-weather... I've only worn them once but they will definitely take some time to break in. 100% worth it.
