I love these boots but I have to say that the first time I put them on I almost cried. As soon as I started walking they were perfect but they felt sooo hard and I felt like the boot didnt accommodate my feet properly. Upon walking around the house I realized how comfortable they were. A bit narrow maybe. I used them on Halloween as I dressed as a safari tourist and used them for an entire day and no blisters or anything!!! I wore them to Home Depot and a guy working there complimented them! Then the next day two men stopped me in the train to compliment me! I guess they dont know there is a men version!!! Get them and give them a try!

I'm wearing them as I type. I find Nisolo sizing to be pretty tricky and varied, so I was unsure about what size to take in these. For reference, I am regular 7 in most shoes, and take a 7.5 in the Mariella mules and a 7 in the huaraches. I tried on the Chelsea boots last year in 7.5 and they were way too tight, despite having sized up. I reached out to CS and they advised me to take my usual size 7 in these -- I was skeptical, but they were right! For reference, my feet are a regular width and I have somewhat high arches. When I initially put them on, they were super painful, especially in the ankle area. But they have broken in really well and are comfortable to walk in. I've taken them out in the PNW rain and they've been great. Highly recommend -- especially the brandy colour!

I love these boots, they are gorgeous, durable and best of all ethically made. I ordered them in my usual size 7, and they have stretched out to fit more comfortably (they felt more snug at first). I get compliments on them all the time! I'm excited to have these boots for years to come!

I would call these true to size -- I'm usually an 8 in boots and am a 7.5 in the Serena Sandal, and I'm very happy with an 8 in these boots. There's room for a thicker pair of socks but now that they're broken in, I have no issues with wearing a thinner pair either. As recommended, I took my time breaking these in at home in small chunks of time. Don't worry about the initial rigidity; they're getting better each time I wear them!

I chose a half size up, which was the right choice for me. I own lots of Nisolo shoes & was delighted to see that these come with a nice rubber sole. I would suggest wearing nice tall socks, as the top of the boot starts out quite rigid and can dig into the leg. So happy with my purchase & feel prepared for whatever winter has!

I got a pair in Brandy for a recent trip to the UK. I was a little skeptical of how waterproof these beautifully finished leather boots would be. It was pouring rain for the entirety of my trip. I even spent 3 days on a farm where I walked through mud and puddles and no moisture leaked through at all...they even cleaned up perfectly afterwards. I did no breaking in of these shoes beforehand, and I walked for miles in them in total comfort...never wore any of the other shoes I brought.

I bought the dark olive color and love how comfortable they were from the beginning. Very light break-in and the rounded toe box gave me so much room. I have a c-width foot and actually went true to size in these (8) instead of my usual boot size which is 8.5. A nice surprise! Can't wait to wear these with jeans and my favorite sweater!

I wish these boots fit but they were far too narrow for my liking. The insole felt comfortable and the style and construction are both great. But if you find a slightly wider foot box comfortable in general, this style is not for you. It was tight all the way around over the top of my foot as well.

I love everything about these boots, except the width. Sizing up half a size didn't work for me as the shoes then became way too big (not just width) for me.

Ive actually had these boots over two years and still are obsessed with them all fall/winter long. They go with everything, I always get compliments on them and the weather proof is a game changer. I dont have to worry about ruining them on a rainy day. The only thing Ill say is after 2 years, the sole did start coming apart. I sent them to my local shoe repairer and it was only a $10 fix so not a big deal, but I did panic for a second when I noticed the wear. I plan on wearing them for many years to come, my favorite staple.

I get lots of compliments when I wear them out! I wore them to work when it was torrentially raining and my feet stayed dry after walking around the city. The sizing is a little wild - I had to size up (VERY NARROW) had to buy a size up and buy longer laces so I could lace it up the whole way. Took about a week to break them in.

Love the color and the design. A bit tight on top by the laces, but hopeful it will break in. Bought my regular size.

I really wanted these to work as the leather is beautiful and thick. These are the kind of boots that will last forever and age beautifully. Unfortunately, they just run very narrow, and even ordering a full size up didn't help much (I'm a wide 8.5, which means a 9 in most shoes for width, but ordered a 9.5 in these). Also the style made my feet look really long due to the added length. The footbed was very comfy though. Highly recommend them if you have narrow feet. I just can't recommend these if you have wide feet.

First, the quality of these boots are really good and I was excited to give them a try. Based on the fit notes, I ordered a half size up (6.5) since I'll be wearing them with thicker socks. The feet fit great, however, my ankles are smaller and even with the laces, couldn't tighten them enough without them rubbing. I knew that I wouldn't be comfortable walking around with the ankle part rubbing, so I returned. However, I would have definitely kept them if it wasn't for that as they were exactly what I had been looking for!

I got the Amalia Boots in Black and I love the look, but personally I found that they run VERY narrow/tight so size up if you're concerned about that. I originally bought them only half a size up, anticipating I'd need it. Even those were incredibly tight across the top of my feet before the laces began (this is while wearing very thin socks.) So tight that it was uncomfortable and I could see some slight buckling near the sole on either side that made me worry the leather probably wouldn't loosen up enough to be comfortable. (I guess my feet are wide/tall??) I returned them for a full size up, and while still tight, they're not uncomfortable or buckling and I feel like they'll break in more easily.

I wanted these shoes for the longest time and finally got them with 20% off. They fit true to size and look good on, but the odor is almost unbearable. My closet and where I work wreak. Wondering how I can get rid of this strong odor.

These boots were a little snug, so I exchanged for a size up from the sandals I previously bought. They are very durable and sturdy. The soles are very comfortable and I could wear them all day, but my legs had to get used to the leather that high up on my ankles. I like the tobacco color a lot and can't wait to see how it holds up in the rain.

I love the boots, just in the beginning the tongue of the show was bother me, so I had to wear and walk with the boots one hour a day during 2 weeks to start to soft the leather.

These have been on my wishlist for over a year and I finally was able to purchase them! They are beautiful and I'm really excited to wear these throughout the Wisconsin fall and winter with leggings, dresses, and skinny jeans! The sizing was quite difficult for me, but I was expecting it. I have SUPER wide feet so boots are always a challenge for me. I wear 7 in almost everything, except I usually size up to 7.5 for ankle boots. I read ALL the reviews and decided 7.5 was the best route. They came and were so tight my feet were throbbing after wearing them for 20 minutes. I called to talk sizing and the customer service was superb! Ended up exchanging for an 8 and so far so good. They're still tight but I'm hoping that after the break-in period they'll be much better. My only complaint is the heels currently squeak when I walk so not sure if that's part of the break-in period or if these still just don't fit me right. But I honestly don't want to deal with another exchange so I'm determined to make these work. It's strange to be wearing a pair of shoes so much larger than my others so be warned if you have very wide feet. These are definitely made for skinny feet. ;)

I absolutely love the way these shoes look, they are so versatile. They feel very high-quality, sturdy and well constructed. However I struggled to figure out the correct sizing for my foot. My foot is 9.25" long and somewhat wide; I usually wear a 7.5 or an 8. A Customer Service person recommended an 8, so I tired that, but they were painfully tight! After 7+ (indoor) wears they still had not relaxed enough for me to wear them without pain. I exchanged for an 8.5, which fit well through the sides and top but were too long in the toe. Ultimately I loved the shoes enough to keep the 8.5s but I wish they were a better fit for my foot.

At first I really regretted buying these. Break in was a beast!! They pressed down so hard on the tops of my feet that my toes would go numb, gave me blisters on the back of my heels, and where the boot naturally bends at the toes it pressed on my bunions. It felt like they were going to break my feet instead of my feet breaking them in! Picture the type of leather on a brand new baseball mitt, thats how hard and stiff these feel at first. I couldnt return them, and Ive had very tough leather shoes become favorites before, so I just wore them on short walks days apart (because my feet needed a rest from them) put nexcare cushioned tape on my blisters when I did wear them (highly recommend that stuff), and would wear them just sitting in my house with thicker socks on and wiggled around my feet a lot to break them in faster. Happily they did get slightly more and more comfortable with each wear, still bothered my bunions so I was starting to lose hope, but then one day they just WORKED! No more pain. Today I wore them on my first long trek, with some rock scrambling, over 12 thousand steps and they didnt hurt at all!! Now I have a very durable and beautiful pair of all weather boots. Used redwing boot oil on the scuffs and they look good as new! Took my usual size 8 in Nisolo and glad I didnt size up because I read that would only add length but not much width or height for the top of my foot, and these kind of already look a little bit long to me.

These were not comfortable walk three miles at once right out of the box sort of shoes but more like they will get better with age and I need to wear them in to be my perfect shoes sort of shoes. They look great with cropped pants and skinny jeans and I can't wait to style them with tights and overalls as well. So versatile!

Pro: so cool, very beautifully made, and feel very solid. Seems like I'll have these boots forever Cons: very narrow - and I sized up a 1/2 size based on others' recommendations here. Forget thick socks, only thin works. They don't have arch support for high arches These are not very comfortable right now because they're tight and the arch support isn't great. I'm keeping them because they are so beautiful, well-made, and I appreciate the company's ethics. Fingers crossed that they mold to my feet like everyone says they will.
