Bitter sweet. This shoe is super comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. However, after only about a month of use, the back ankle area ripped open on the inside fabric of the shoe. Very disappointed in the quality for the price, and unfortunately customer service is not returning my inquiries for a replacement pair. Disappointing.

I use these shoes are walks in the winter around my neighborhood, and they give me great traction on icy cement. I don't have to worry about slipping like it did with other boots! I always buy my tennis shoes a little bigger (1/2 up), and I did the same with these since I wear heavier socks with them. I am really happy with my purchase! They are a little squeeky on the wood floors in my house, but I wore them to the grocery store thinking they would squeek, and they did not!

I went on a hike in Palo Duro Canyon, not just straight walking, did a lot of climbing up boulders. These shoes had great gripping, didn't slide once. Very comfortable shoes, my feet were not sore at all after several hours. Wore them straight out of the box didn't even have to break in. I went to several stores trying on several different brands of shoes and these were by far the most comfortable. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Love them. Toe box is wide but great for heavier socks. Run 1/2 size smaller, normally wear a 7 1/2 but 8's were perfect. Water proofing seams to work great. The black color makes them look more like a

Love these shoes! They are so comfortable. I partially tore my Achilles' tendon six months. When my doctor released me from my medical walking boot/cast, I had trouble finding a shoe I could wear without pain. These are the only shoes I found that help with the pain. I put these on and my pain goes away! I have 3 pairs. I hope they don't change the shoe! I ordered a half size larger.

I absolutely love these birds. I went hiking in the Narrows in Utah and also Kanarra falls Utah. I was hiking through water most of the time and I had no problems with these boots no rubbing on my feet no blisters just comfortable, light, and didn't even have to wear them in for them to be comfortable. I highly recommend these boots and I am a seasoned hiker. I got them and a size bigger so that way they would feel more comfortable and they were perfect!

When I wear them, I feel safe not to fall, get cold or become tired. I plan my tasks with the bigger sense of security. I know I won't feel exhausted by the end of the day.

Needed waterproof boots for a trip to Patagonia. These boots are amazing! Held up great during trip and were very comfortable, even though I had not had time to break them in thoroughly. Now are getting lots of use at home. Sturdy, comfortable, and great traction. Lightweight characteristic was a big plus for packing.

Poor SupportGreat Support
I wear a 6.5 and got the 7, based on reviews. And honestly could wear a 7.5 if I wore heavier socks. These have a lot of cushion, and the bottoms feel like I am wearing running shoes. The rise of the boot is a little awkward as it does press into the back of my ankle at certain angles, but once it’s broken in it may not do this. Overall tney are very sporty and not clunky like other styles- and they offer a lot more cushion than other styles too- I recommend to get a half size larger or even a whole size if you are unsure. Can always send back.

I went on my first winter hike in MN, and these were a great fit for the snowy weather. They are water resistant, and are super easy to clean mud off. They are the perfect color and match my hiking gear. I appreciate the simplicity and quality of these hiking boots. I am glad I purchased them.

I bought these boots to wear on my upcoming Torres del Paine 70-mile loop. With the caveat that the trip is still upcoming, I have worn these for shorter hikes and have found them very comfortable. I have incredibly sensitive feet and usually have to suffer through a period of discomfort before I break in shoes, but these have been largely comfortable from the first wear. I will have to update this review post-Torres del Paine.

I bought these to do some mid-level hiking and for a trip. They didn't require a break-in period, and they are very comfortable with a good grip. I've been very pleased and these have more than replaced my Merrell Moabs. I never felt as comfortable in those as I do in these North Face boots.

Seems like these are quality-made. A little hard to get on and off, but that's probably due to them being ankle boots. Only had them a couple of weeks, but they are quite comfortable and I'm happy they are water-proof.
