These are used at work (Starbucks). Of course, they're great for hiking on the weekends, but they are comfortable and work perfect for a barista

They either run a touch small or my feet are getting bigger LOL. Either way, I am usually an 8.5 but had to go to a 9 with these. I tried them on with the wool socks, as I prefer to use these mostly for winter use. I did give them a "test drive" as soon as they showed up. 1. The tread is FANTASTIC! Nice and nubbly, but not stiff (ok, it is over 70 degrees, so a winter test is definitely in order). 2. The width is a bit narrow, even though I have fairly narrow feet. But so far, no hot spots. 3. Love the color combo 4. They are comfortable! I have not hiked in a river with them just yet, but I think they will be great this winter with the summer test complete and passed with flying colors!

I just hiked the Dipsea in these and my feet felt great. Very comfortable, no blisters or hot spots. The shape of the sole gives a spring to your step. My only complaints are that they are short so the ankle support is not as great as I had hoped and the shoe laces are a bit short. I wish they were long enough to tie a double knot. I have tried multiple boots and these are by far the most comfortable, nice cushioning on your feet. I haven't tried them in wet conditions so I can't comment on that. I like the lilac purple laces and natural brown color. I normally wear a size 6 or 6.5 and I had to size up to a 7 in these so I'd say they run small.

Comfortable on my first hike. Did a 14er and did not have any blisters. Feet felt amazing and stable.

I'm usually an 8.5 in hiking boots and that's a size up from my regular show size of 7.5/8. The 8.5 felt comfortable but I could tell my toes were still running up against the tops of the shoe which you don't want when you're walking up or down hills so I'm returning it and if a size 9 becomes available I would get those and can only imagine they will fit much better!!

Great looking style from North Face. I should have taken note of reviews saying to order 1/2 size larger than normal.

I’ve been buying these for a couple years. I wait for them to go on sale. The fit is really comfy and cushioned like a tennis shoe, with support like a boot. However: they come waterproof but the waterproofing wears off after about six weeks. And they end up looking really old and beat up after the same amount of time. I’ve tried treating them myself with different waterproof products but it doesn’t extend the life by much. So I won’t pay full price but if I find them for half off I still buy them knowing tney only last a few mos or so.

They are really nice shoes but they run super small. I had to size up a full shoe size for them to fit.

A little tight but overall it's great. I wore them in the rain and my socks didn't get wet at all. Love them!

Very stylish. I am normally size 9 and ordered 9, but they were too small so I had to return. They run small. Other than that they looked like a nice pair of hiking shoes.

Love these shoes. Have been wearing men's which are a little too wide - the woman's are too narrow though. Love the style and the vective sole.

Ordered 7.5 based on prior reviews. Box was labeled 7.5, but the shoe was a size 7. I normally wear size 7, but these look like they were made for children. I wore the 7.5 for a little while and my feet went numb. Because they are so narrow, they dig into my ankles. I like the look though and am hopeful that a size 8 will fit better.

I must confess that I loved the boots, only that when I received them even though it's the size I usually wear, they came so small that they didn't even fit me.
But I will definitely order them in a new size.
