I bought a Columbia coat 12 years ago for bus duty( elementary teacher). Love it. This coat is even warmer and fits just right. Quality has not changed a bit.

For reference I'm 5'6 and 150 pounds. I generally wear a medium in most tops. Due to other reviews I sized up to a large and I'm glad I did. The large gives me a bit more room for layering should I need to and gives me some width in the shoulders that I often struggle with as the owner of wide shoulders. I think the medium would have been slightly too tight through the shoulders and arms. Overall, I love the coat. Its definitely warm and the OmniHeat was a must have for me after previous OmniHeat jackets. It is slightly heavier than my previous Columbia coat, but I don't mind that. The length with the double zipper gives me some extra room when I'm sitting and ability to cinch the waist provides some extra shape since I did size up to a large. But the biggest pro for me is the SLEEVE LENGTH. Blessed be, these sleeves are actually long enough. I STRUGGLE to find women's clothing with sleeves long enough for my (I guess abnormally) long arms. I generally have to order mens sizing in jackets/coats in order to get appropriate sleeve length. Both the tighter wrist cuff and the sleeve of the coat itself are long enough to be comfortable and keep my wrist and forearm warm. The only thing I don't love about this coat is the position of the pockets for your hands. The angle is a bit awkward but not enough to knock a star off.

I followed the advice of the other reviewers and bought a size larger than I normally buy. I have purchased it to wear on an African safari where I understand it is quite cold on the before dawn and night time outings. I haven't worn it for that reason just yet, but it felt comfortable and warm when I tried it on. I will be able to layer clothing under by buying it a size up. The sleeves are long, which is nice, because I have long arms.

I love everything about this coat. You'll feel the warmth almost immediately, the sleeves extend out with thumb holes, the pockets are insulated, the hood doesn't just flop over, there's a zippered inside pocket, the fit is perfect and it looks great.

I returned my L because it had small arms, and because of that, the foil type material kept sticking to my inner elbow area. Very annoying and uncomfortable

Standing on the sidelines of rugby and soccer games, this jacket keeps me warm! If I want to sit, the extended length enables my bottom to stay warm and dry. When the grandchildren go sledding, I am now able to stay out with them the whole time when wearing this jacket. No snow going up these sleeves. In the winter, dressed in light-weight work-out clothes, I stay toasty while walking to and from the car. Columbia has made it easy to remove the "fur" before washing the jacket.

First of all, love the color! It was better than I expected. Love the "comfort cuffs with thumb holes" for added protection for hands and the thermal insulation with water resistant fabric for wet weather. The two-way zipper makes it easy to wear but still get in a car or sit on a bleacher.

Amazing product! I used it for snow in buffalo and i didn't feel a bit of cold and I didn't even use the warmers underneath ! It's more than enough. Pretty and comfy. I love it!!!!

Perfect coat for those cold days. Love the color and inside pockets. Didn't care for the fur trim on hood and happy it could be removed. Size was perfect.

This jacket is Amazing! Everything I was looking for in a winter coat. Beautiful workmanship and very high quality. You will not be disappointed.

This jacket fits very comfortably, and keeps warm. There are plenty of pockets even a nice hidden one inside the jacket that I was not expecting. There's a string on the inside to adjust the waist and make it more flattering in and I'm glad for that because at first it appeared a bit boxy on. And I appreciate that the fur head is removable. Overall a really good winter jacket, don't think I'll even need to layer a sweater over my usual shirt when I wear it.

This was the perfect coat for the winter. Love the length, deep pockets, water proof and warm.

This jacket is so warm and comfortable! My sister and mom bought it 2 years ago to go on a cold weather trip and I kept borrowing one of theirs so I finally got my own! I love that the "fur" on the hood is detachable for easy washing.

Great jacket. Very warm, sizing is true to size. Sleeve length is perfect. Would've loved to have gotten it in green.

This coat is wonderfully warm! It is comfortable with the stretchy wristbands and relaxed fit. The back is cute with the snap at the bottom.

This coat is everything I was looking for! It isn't bulky or heavy, but the warmest with their omni-tech reflective interior lining. I like that there are two pockets, one with snaps that can hold important things and the other with great warming fleece for your hands. It's virtually waterproof, which is almost like stain proof as well. The double zipper makes it nice if you need more room to get into a big truck or stretch out. It's fitted, but not tight. Fits true to size. I can't say enough how much I love this coat and the compliments I receive.

I'm 5'11 and i was nervous that the coat will be short in the body and arm esp. But it was not. I got an XL and I'm 5 1/2 months and it firs perfectly with room for me and for the lil one.

I love this jacket so much but if you don't want it too snug you would have to size up
