I have been using Smartwool socks primarily for hiking in the last 20 years, but have recently started shifting my day to day socks over from cotton to wool. I've purchased some other brands of wool socks from various retailers, but they never seem as comfortable. What I love about these socks is that they offer a little extra cushion on the bottom/heal/toes, and thinner on top. These socks increase my feet comfort ALL day long. From going into the office and traveling, I love them for everything. Any time I buy new shoes now, I only want to wear wool socks because then my shoes don't stink! Like taking my shoes off on the plane was a no-no before, but now I have the freedom and don't have to worry if I offend others. That's the joy of wool!!

I do have an issue with the packaging. I used scissors along the inside of the folded, glued top. This is usually a safe place to open an envelope. One pair of the socks I ordered were stuck along this edge and before I knew it I have cut into the socks.

I use these in summer, for hiking or pedaling around. Best of all possible socks is all I can say. I would (and will) buy again when the need arises, you betcha.

The only socks I wear. They wear really well. My first pair are 2 years old and are still perfect. I forget I have them on. I tore the tendon and ligament in my foot last year while on vacation. My smart wool sock supported my foot. I can't say enough about them

I started wearing a pair to bed to keep warm. They are a little confining. I may order one pair a size larger for this purpose. For normal wear during the day they are very good. If the same sock had a thicker bottom like some of your socks, maybe a medium,I would try them.

Best socks ever! I have 3 SmartWool socks that I bought many (many) years ago, and they still feel and look the same! Never had blisters using these socks while walking, hiking, ir running! Excellent quality! Highly recommended!
