I've worn Smartwool socks for at least 15 years and thought they were the best available. They fit snug, didn't bunch up, and stayed in place. The "updated" versions now fit like an oversized pillowcase. They fit loose and have significant extra material in the toe area. They changed a great product into something that is less than mediocre.

Purchased many of these PH socks, even before they changed the name. The new socks seem thinner and tighter than previous ones purchased. I order extra large and they still are too small. My normal shoe size is 10.5W and I can't imagine someone with a larger shoe size being able to use these socks. These socks were a good alternative to the thin crew vs. the thick hunting socks, but I'm not so sure now.

Shrinks just a little more with each washing. Bought these because they looked cool...but

Arrived with a hole in the toe at the seem. Returned but still waiting for refund.

Gifted them and when recipient opened them they had a big unsiticher hole in the toe! So embarrassing and disappointing.
