Socks are so comfy, very cushioned- but a little too much room in the toe if you're on the lower end of the size range

I wear winter hiking boots every day to walk dog through forest and rough trails. These socks are perfect hiking activity, retaining warmth and moisture wicking. I have multiple pairs, and will buy more.

I wear smartwool socks basically every day, and I use these for tons of different activities. They are great for high-intensity exercising in cold weather or low-intensity activities in cool weather. I have two other pairs of the same socks that I've had for several years, and I wanted a third pair.

Super great, I lose a lot of socks so that's the only negative!! Losing a pair of these! They are super soft and comfortable.

Accompanies my other good purchases. I will prefer additional colors and designs in green and red. Like argyle pattern.

I miss the PhD smart wool socks. those were the perfect thickness for workshops AND they gave me such comfort as I stood most of the day as a doctor. These are what I got to replace them.

I'm a rough carpenter that builds homes in Michigan. I'm out in the weather all year around. I had cold feet for about 10 yrs as I tried different sock brands with non of them meeting my standards. I came across Smartwool socks one day. They were alittle more then what I was used to to spending but I took the chance. IM SO GLAD I DID ! It changed me for life. They were by far the warmest socks I EVER had. Above the extreme warmth they were very soft. They fit like a glove and wick all the moisture away to keep you warm and dry. I now have been wearing smartwool socks for the past 15 yrs. The summer I buy anklets, fall I wear above ankle and winter I buy full cushion hikers. Some of my pairs I have had for 4-5 yrs. They are by far the best socks ever. I ONLY buy smartwool socks. With the performance of their socks I chose to try smartwool base layers. They did not disappoint. It's the only base layer I wear. If you have not tried smartwool products I would suggest you try. I tell everyone about their products and have given many people new pairs to try. They now agree and that's all they buy now. If you want warmth, comfortable and durable products by SMARTWOOL. THEY DONT DISAPPOINT!!!!!

These are the best socks I've ever worn. I bought my first 3 pairs at an RCI store in 2015 or 2016 and still no holes, all the other merino wool socks I purchased only lasted a few years. I recently bought 3 more because they are the best boot socks I've ever worn and I wear boots everyday at work. I also added these socks to my family gift exchange for 2025. Want to do laundry a little less to get to wear my favorite boot socks at work. All of mine are of the light grey style so far. I have probably about 30 to 40 pairs of merino wool socks and this pair is my favorite followed by the Darn Tough hiker socks. No other socks are worth mentioning.

I wear them around the house and with the light cushioning on the heel and toe they feel great. Next time I'll order a size up as I don't need them to be tight on my foot (as if they were going in a boot).

Love these socks. Bought my first pair years ago for a hiking trip and was amazed by the comfort and durability of the brand. I mainly wear smart-wool for hiking and outdoor pursuits, however they are a treat for everyday casual use as well.
